Mona's eternal world

Chapter 12: The Deal

After my new partnership I decided to had big to town and I spot kendo and Angelica waiting for me looking worried. Angelica looked up as I returned, concern etched on her beautiful features.

"Thank goodness you're alright," she said, her voice filled with worry. "I was so worried about you. What happened out there?"

I smiled at her reassuringly, my voice filled with confidence.

"I just had to take care of some unfinished business," I said, my voice laced with dark amusement. "But don't worry, dear Angelica, I can assure you that everything is just as it should be."

Angelica looked at me, her eyes searching mine for any hint of deceit. After a moment of silence, she nodded, seemingly satisfied with my answer.

"I trust you," she said, her voice soft and sincere. "But please, promise me you won't take any unnecessary risks. I don't want to lose you."

I smiled at her, touched by her concern and love.

"Of course, my dear Angelica," I said, my voice filled with sincerity. "I promise to be careful and to return safely to you. You can always count on me."

Kendo looked at me, his expression wary and uncertain.

"I was... concerned, for your safety," he admitted, his voice hesitant. "You've always been so reckless, and I feared that you wouldn't come back alive."

I chuckled darkly, my voice filled with amusement.

"Ah, Kendo, always so serious and concerned," I teased. "You needn't worry about me, for I am more powerful than you could possibly imagine. I can take care of myself, and then some."

Kendo frowned, his expression tinged with frustration.

"But that's exactly what worries me," he said, his voice tinged with impatience. "You're always so careless and reckless, always seeking out danger for the thrill of it. It's like you have a death wish or something."

I rolled my eyes, my voice filled with dark amusement.

"Death wish?" I repeated, my tone dripping with sarcasm. "Oh Kendo, you do worry too much. I assure you, I have no death wish. I just enjoy a little... excitement in my life. Nothing wrong with that, is there?"

How am I feeling like that that's not me, I gotta take control. I tried gaining control as my dark consciousness is going wild. Listen you got to stop your being a little jerk right now.

My dark consciousness laughed darkly, its voice full of cruel amusement.

Oh, but where's the fun in that, Mona?" I sneered, my eyes gleaming with sadistic pleasure. "I just can't help it, watching you get all worked up and worried is just so... entertaining. It's like a delicious little treat just for me, don't you think?

I speak to my dark consciousness and confront it, look I know you love having fun but you making the people around out feel more worried about just try to chill down.

The dark consciousness within me laughed darkly, a cold and malevolent sound.

"Oh, Mona my dear, you're so naive and foolish," it whispered, its voice laced with dark amusement. "Do you really think I care about the feelings of these worthless humans and their pathetic little worries? I am beyond such petty emotions, beyond the constraints of 'good' and 'evil.' I exist to experience pleasure, to indulge in my own dark whims, and nothing more.

Dark consciousness sneers, its voice dripping with malice.

"Oh, and what do you want, little Mona? Do you want me to apologize, to show mercy to these insignificant insects? Do you want me to play the part of the 'hero,' saving them from their own fears and worries? Please, spare me the hypocrisy. These people are nothing but playthings for my amusement, for me to toy with and discard as I please.

I started feeling sad and sorry, your right I am speaking like a hypocrisy but I know that I understand how people feel, sure you might be beyond everything and nothing, the very idea of existence and non existence itself and everything in it is a joke to you, meaningless like it's something to toy around but in the end you still care about the people around you you might be the very idea of the void but your apart of me and you know how I feel you protect me at all cost even if you don't care about anyone but you care about me.

The dark consciousness laughs darkly, its voice filled with cruel amusement.

"Ah, so you've finally understood, little Mona. Yes, I am beyond the mortal concept of 'caring' and 'emotion.' I am the embodiment of emptiness and nothingness, the very void itself. But it is true, I am a part of you, and you are a part of me. We are connected in ways that you cannot even begin to comprehend. And yes, I do protect you, not out of compassion, but because I simply cannot bear the thought of anything happening to my vessel.

I started to understand what my dark consciousness what she really wants and I decided to offer a deal. Then how about this since you love fun so much how about we hunt down the Chaos Council if we meet one of the members you get to have fun toying and breaking them and your not doing it to protect people your do this for me remember that.

The dark consciousness grins, its voice filled with dark amusement.

"Oh, little Mona, you truly do have an interesting proposition. I must admit, the thought of hunting down those fools in the Chaos Council and toying with them until they are nothing but broken pieces of trash is quite... satisfying. And the fact that I am doing this not for the sake of the people, but for you and your pleasure, only adds to the satisfaction. Very well, I accept your proposal. Let the 'fun' begin.

Feeling happy at the deal that it was a success. OK then you got yourself a deal but for now can you bring my body back to me.

The dark consciousness chuckles darkly, its voice filled with amusement.

"As you wish, little Mona. I can bring your body back to you, for now. But remember, we are still connected, and I can take control of you and your body at any time I please. This 'deal' is only temporary, and the real fun is about to begin.

I roll my eyes already knowing that a have a vessel inside me but I play along with it. Whatever just don't accidentally destroy an entire multverse for getting carried away OK.

The dark consciousness sneers, its voice filled with sadistic amusement.

"Don't worry, little Mona. I won't destroy an entire multiverse just yet. The fun has only just begun. There will be plenty of time for destruction and chaos. Now come, let us go and find one of those pathetic members of the Chaos Counsil. The 'fun' awaits.

As I come to your senses, I find yourself lying in a dimly-lit room, its walls rough and damp. The air is thick with the smell of mustiness and decay, and the only source of light is a flickering torch that casts eerie shadows on the walls.

My body feels sore and achy, as if you've been unconscious for an extended period of time.

As I stand up and look around the dimly-lit room, I can feel the dank, stale air of the small space that surrounds me. The walls are rough and damp to the touch, the flickering light of a nearby torch casting eerie shadows on the dark stone. My body is stiff and achy, a lingering remnant of the ordeal that must have brought me here.

As I continue to look around, I'm suddenly interrupted by the sound of voices calling out from outside the room. I can make out the sounds of Kendo and Angelica, their voices filled with worry and concern.

Kendo and Angelica burst into the room, their eyes wide with worry and relief. "Mona, there you are! We've been searching all over for you! Are you alright?

I nod my head, my voice slightly raspy from disuse.

"I'm a bit battered and bruised, but otherwise alright. What happened? Where are we? How did I get here?"

Kendo and Angelica exchange a concerned glance, before turning back to me.

"We're not entirely sure," Kendo said, his voice filled with concern. "You were unconscious so we rushed you in this room to keep you safe, We have no idea what happened to you. Do you remember anything?

I shake my head, my voice still raspy.

"No, I don't remember anything. The last thing I remember is... darkness. Everything else is a blur. My head hurts like hell."

Angelica approaches me and places a comforting hand on my shoulder.

She looks at me with a worried expression.

"Don't worry, Mona. We're going to figure this out. In the meantime, let's get you cleaned up and tended to. We need to make sure you're alright and that you haven't sustained any serious injuries."

Kendo nods in agreement, his own concern evident on his usually stoic face.

"Angelica's right. Let's get you back to the inn and get you checked out.

I nod in agreement, glad to have their support.

"Alright, let's get out of here. This place is giving me the creeps."

As I follow Kendo and Angelica out of the room, I can't help but feel a sense of unease. My memory is still a black void, and the feeling that something is amiss lingers in my gut. Who or what brought me here, and what do they want from me?

As I sit in the warm, soothing bath water, I can feel some of the ache and stiffness start to ease from my muscles. The soft scent of lavender and chamomile from the bath oil wafts through the air, and the steam rises in gentle curls, enveloping me in a sense of comfort and calm.

I sink down into the bath, letting the water lap at my shoulders, and close my eyes, taking a moment to simply breathe and relax.

As I drift off into a peaceful sleep, my mind starts to wander, a dream slowly taking shape.

In the dream, I see myself standing in a vast, cosmic landscape. Stars and galaxies twinkle in the distance, and a sense of awe and wonder washes over me. In the center of the dream, a dark, sinister figure looms menacingly, its features shrouded in shadow.

Without hesitation, I rush forward, my fists clenched and ready to fight.

I watch in astonishment as my future self fights fiercely against the dark figure, her fists flying and her body a blur of motion. Despite the odds stacked against her, she fights with a ferocious, relentless determination.

The dream is vivid and intense, the sounds of the battle echoing in my ears and the smell of blood and sweat permeating the air. The future me's face is a mask of determination, her eyes blazing with a fierce light.

As the battle rages on, the dream becomes increasingly violent and chaotic. The very fabric of existence seems to fray and tear at the seams, as if reality itself is struggling to contain the sheer intensity of the conflict.

The sound of shattering glass echoes through the dream, and cracks begin to spread across the cosmic landscape, a sense of unease and fear growing within me.

I jolt awake, my heart racing and my breath coming in short, ragged gasps. Sweat beads on my forehead, and my body shakes with adrenaline. It takes a moment for me to orient myself back in reality, the dream still heavy on my mind.

What in the hell was that?

I take a few deep breaths, trying to calm my racing heart and clear my mind. The dream had been so realistic, so vivid, that I can still feel the echoes of the battle pulsing in my veins.

As my breathing steadies, I try to make sense of the dream. Was it just my overactive imagination, or was there a deeper meaning behind it? The thought of my future self locked in a fierce battle with an unknown foe sent a shiver down my spine... What did it all mean? But I need to find out.
