Chapter 181: Chapter 181: Trouble Magnet

Xu San and Xu Si stood nervously at Alex's door for a long time before finally mustering the courage to knock.

Since Alex had used his powerful Golden Light Incantation to defeat dozens of company employees, experts had been sent to the massive crater he left behind to assess his strength based on the traces left at the scene.

After meticulous calculations by several experts, they concluded that Alex's power was at least on par with the two heroes of the world, if not surpassing them.

Whether he could rival the legendary Old Taoist Master remained uncertain.

Additionally, using accounts from Zhang Chulan, Xu San, and Feng Baobao, the experts analyzed Alex's personality.

If Alex's previous behavior was genuine and not an act, he was neither inherently kind nor bloodthirsty. He seemed to embody the demeanor of an immortal who had stood at the pinnacle for far too long—a detached indifference toward everything, as if all things were merely fleeting breezes.

He appeared to act only for his amusement, caring little for anything else.

Because of this, the experts suggested that the Express Delivery Company should take the initiative to apologize to Alex. Even if they couldn't recruit him, they needed to maintain a good relationship.

Thus, after making thorough preparations, Xu San and Xu Si came to visit Alex.

When the door opened, the two men, despite their strength as capable Outcasts, couldn't help but feel like ordinary people standing before someone of Alex's immense power.

If the experts' analysis was wrong and Alex was indeed bloodthirsty, he could easily kill them if he wished.

After a brief wait, the door opened, and they entered, only to be stunned by what they saw.

Inside the luxurious room, besides Alex lounging lazily on a plush sofa, several women were present.

Each woman had her unique charm, and all of them were exceptionally beautiful. If Feng Baobao were to clean herself up, she might compete with them, but in her current unkempt state, she looked more like a rustic farm girl in comparison.

Xu Si took the lead. After recovering from his initial shock, he stepped forward and said: "Mr. Alex, on behalf of the Delivery Company, we sincerely apologize for the offense we caused when we acted rashly against you.

We've brought this as a token of our apology—a black card from the Central Bank with a balance of ten million."

Alex, enjoying a massage from the women, glanced lazily at the two men and chuckled: "Do you think money has any meaning to me?"

He casually waved his hand, channeling energy from the dimensional universe, and performed matter-energy conversion, forming several gold bars before their eyes.

The value of these gold bars alone exceeded hundreds of millions!

"This…!"

Xu San and Xu Si were shocked and speechless. What kind of technique was this?

Did such power even exist in the world of Outcasts?

Despite their confusion, Alex showed no interest in explaining. He rose from the sofa, stopping his deep focus on training in the Third Tree: Abyss state.

Standing before them, Alex spoke calmly: "No need for this. Although this country isn't truly my place, it is still a country on earth. Naturally, I won't be stingy with it.

I'll accept the black card, and I'm willing to join the Company—but on one condition."

Xu Si was overjoyed. He had given up on the idea of recruiting Alex after realizing his immense power and aloof personality, but now there was a glimmer of hope.

Alex not only accepted their apology but was even willing to join the agency.

Hiding his excitement, Xu Si nodded and said, "Of course! As long as it doesn't violate the law, we'll do everything in our power to fulfill your request!"

Alex nodded slightly and said:

"I'll join the agency, but only as a figurehead. I won't take orders from anyone.

However, if you need help, and I happen to be in a good mood, I might lend a hand.

And when the day comes for me to leave this world, I will leave the company with a gift.

Trust me, the value of that gift will rival that of the so-called Eight Secret Arts."

Upon hearing Alex's words, Xu Si didn't hesitate for even a second and agreed immediately:

"Deal!"

Alex's demands posed no challenge to the company. Their initial intention was to have Alex as an honorary consultant without any expectations for him to intervene in their affairs, so long as he adhered to the law.

Now, Alex not only promised occasional assistance when in a good mood but also offered to leave them a gift upon his departure—one as valuable as the fabled Eight Secret Arts.

This was an absolute win for them!

---

In the following days, Alex continued exploring scenic landscapes and diligently training his skills to accumulate experience.

His Third Tree: Abyss was nearing its next level. Once it reached Level 4, Alex's power would double again, fully propelling him into the Multiverse Tier.

At this level, even in universes like Marvel or DC, he would face almost no opponents, save for a handful of top-tier entities.

Furthermore, with his Portal ability—capable of traveling between worlds—Alex could ensure his safety no matter which multiverse he entered.

One day, as Alex strolled leisurely down the street, his unparalleled good looks—beyond the limits of human aesthetics—drew the attention of countless women, both young and mature.

These women hovered around him, pretending to casually walk, their eyes glued to him as if they wanted to devour him.

Their gazes were so intense, so ravenous, that even Alex felt a rare chill down his spine.

Noticing the envious and resentful looks from nearby men, Alex couldn't help but sigh.

'Unknowingly, I've become just like those people I used to dislike in my previous life.' he thought.

But then again, the feeling wasn't bad at all

---

Just then, Alex abruptly stopped and looked ahead.

In the distance, an ugly, pale-blue-skinned doll was carrying a squirming sack as it sprinted toward the outskirts.

Alex sensed a familiar aura emanating from the sack—it belonged to Zhang Chulan.

"Oh, the story is starting, huh? Guess I'll join the fun and meet my distant, distant, distant nephew."

Alex knew Zhang Chulan had been taken by a loli and an older woman and would soon meet Zhang Lingyu. After passing Zhang Lingyu's trial, Zhang Chulan would gain the qualifications to participate in the Raten Taisho.

In this world, Alex had fabricated an identity for himself as a founder of the Taoist Master Hall. Naturally, he felt it was his duty to meet Zhang Lingyu, his many-times-removed junior.

He also wanted to tweak the original storyline and make the Outcast world more lively.

With that thought, Alex took a step forward and vanished from where he stood.

The people around him didn't even notice his disappearance.

The scantily-clad women who had been ogling him moments ago now looked around in confusion, muttering to themselves:

"What was I doing just now? Why am I even here?"

Their memories of Alex had been completely erased.

---

In the remote woods on the outskirts, the pale-blue doll stopped. A loli and a glamorous woman emerged from the forest, walking up to the doll.

Seeing the squirming sack, the loli beamed with excitement:

"My doll is amazing! It managed to grab Zhang Chulan so quickly."

But just as she finished speaking and was about to open the sack, Zhang Chulan burst out, wrapped in a golden light.

His long hair was loose, cascading over his shoulders. If one didn't look closely, they might mistake him for a woman.

Zhang Chulan, visibly angry, shouted:

"You damned heretics of the Quan Xing! Will you ever leave me alone?!"

Hearing his words, the loli and the elegant woman quickly clarified:

"We're not heretics from Quan Xing, nor do we mean you any harm. Our leader simply wants to meet you!"

Before Zhang Chulan could respond, the sound of three footsteps echoed in the distance.

A handsome Taoist with white hair, a striking red mark at the center of his forehead, and dressed in traditional robes walked toward them. Behind him were two other Taoists, similarly clad.

As Zhang Lingyu approached, he said in a calm, commanding voice:

"Zhang Chulan, you cannot leave with them. By the order of my master, we're taking you back with us."

Zhang Chulan, annoyed by Zhang Lingyu's presumptuous tone, retorted: "Hey, hey, hey! Don't I get a say in this? What the hell, man!"

The loli pouted as well, muttering:

"They're stealing our job… stealing our job…"

Before she could continue, a hand quickly covered her mouth.

The elegant woman whispered, "Hush! These people aren't your average outsiders—be careful."

Realizing the situation, the two women stepped back a few paces, signaling that they wouldn't interfere.

Seeing that the two women were tactful enough to back off, Zhang Lingyu chose not to trouble them further. Instead, he turned back to Zhang Chulan and, in an authoritative tone, ordered:

"Zhang Chulan, come with me."

Zhang Chulan, now furious at being bossed around yet again, exploded:

"You're insane, aren't you? I just want to go home and sleep!"

But Zhang Lingyu wasn't about to let him go so easily.

At Zhang Lingyu's signal, the two Taoists behind him stepped forward and activated their Golden Light, attacking Zhang Chulan.

The two engaged Zhang Chulan briefly before retreating back to Zhang Lingyu's side. One of them confirmed: "There's no doubt. The technique he's using is indeed the Golden Light Incantation from the Taoist Master lineage."

Zhang Lingyu nodded and took a step forward. "You two stand back. I'll handle this myself."

Seeing Zhang Lingyu finally move into action, Zhang Chulan, who had long been irked by his arrogance, charged at him furiously: "Who do you think you are, acting all high and mighty? You wanna fight? Let's fight!"

Zhang Lingyu smirked dismissively.

"You? Fight me? Don't make me laugh."

He ignored Zhang Chulan's attack completely, allowing him to land a punch on his abdomen. The Golden Light protected Zhang Lingyu, leaving him completely unharmed.

In a swift counterattack, Zhang Lingyu struck Zhang Chulan, shattering his Golden Light Spell and sending him sprawling to the ground.

Zhang Chulan struggled back to his feet and launched a flurry of attacks at Zhang Lingyu, but the gap in their abilities was insurmountable. No matter how hard Zhang Chulan tried, he couldn't even touch Zhang Lingyu.

Looking at Zhang Chulan with disdain, Zhang Lingyu sneered:

"You're giving it your all, and this is all you've got? I don't know how your ancestors managed to steal the Golden Light Spell, but...

As long as I'm here, I will never allow someone of dubious origins and such pitiful strength to disgrace the Taoist Master's legacy!"

Just as Zhang Lingyu was about to channel the Golden Light Spell into his fist to seriously injure Zhang Chulan, he suddenly realized that Zhang Chulan had disappeared without a trace.

Even more unsettling, he hadn't sensed when or how Zhang Chulan had vanished.

An eerie feeling washed over Zhang Lingyu. For Zhang Chulan to disappear so suddenly, there were only two possibilities:

The first was that Zhang Chulan had been hiding his true strength all along, but this seemed highly unlikely.

The second, more plausible explanation was that a powerful figure—someone far stronger than Zhang Lingyu—was nearby. Only such an individual could evade his perception and quietly whisk Zhang Chulan away.

Realizing this, Zhang Lingyu immediately shouted: "Who's there? Show yourself!"

Suddenly, a figure appeared before him. Instinctively, Zhang Lingyu tried to retreat to create distance, but his reaction was too slow.

With a sharp slap, Zhang Lingyu was sent flying. He landed hard on the ground, his right cheek swollen red, his lip split and dripping blood.

Staggering to his feet, Zhang Lingyu finally got a clear look at his attacker.

The figure bore some resemblance to him, with white hair and white attire. However, the stranger's piercing blue eyes were profoundly deep, exuding an aura that set him apart.

As Zhang Lingyu stared at him, his expression shifted dramatically. From the man's presence alone, he could sense a unique quality—a natural harmony with the world around him.

This aura of oneness with nature was something Zhang Lingyu had only ever felt from one person before: Zhang Zhiwei, the current Taoist Master of Taoist Master Hall.

'Who is this man?' Zhang Lingyu wondered, his mind racing.

Then, recognition struck. He recalled the rumors of a mysterious young man claiming to be the founder of the sect. It had to be him!

Before Zhang Lingyu could say anything, Alex spoke in a calm, almost disappointed tone:

"So, this is what the hall has come to? The current generation of disciples is this weak?"

Hearing Alex's words, the two Taoists behind Zhang Lingyu immediately protested: "What are you talking about? Our junior master's strength isn't weak, even by the standards of senior practitioners. Among his peers, he's at the very top!"

Alex shook his head slightly, his expression one of disapproval.

"I wasn't referring to physical strength," he said. "I was talking about the weakness of spirit.

A disciple of the hall, driven by personal desires, attempting to harm others—when did the disciples of this sect become so narrow-minded?"

The two Taoists opened their mouths to argue further, but Zhang Lingyu raised a hand to stop them. "That's enough…"
