My Active Energy System

*Thump**Thump**Thump*

The light sound of 4 running feet where heard on hardwood floors, followed by light giggles and panting.

Two kids around the age of 4, one with long black hair and the other with medium length black hair, where running down a hallway hand in hand while looking around for the best spot for them to hide.

"Hehe mommy will never find us over dere At-At!"

The little girl said excitedly, holding the boys right hand with her left and pointed over to the curtains by the window with her right hand.

The boy looked over to where his sister was pointing at while thinking if it was a good spot of not.

"Hurry up Bruder! Mommy's almost done counting!"

Listening to his sister's urging the boy looked around from the hall they where standing in, over to the stairs that went upstairs to where their mother was counting at. Then to the stairs that led downstairs.

Looking around the room and frantically wracking his mind where to hind he noticed a small latch on the wooden floors that lead to the crawl space.

He squeezed his sister's hand, looked at her and leaned in to whisper into her ear

"Under the house but we have to be really quiet okay?"

She nodded while he slipped off both of his house shoes and then they sneaked over to the latch and started to pull it up.

He helped his sister get down first then he lowered himself down into the crawl space but before he shut the latch shut behind them, he took one of his house shoes and threw it to knock down a few brooms at the opposite end of the hall. He took the other one and threw it as well and slid it under the curtains that his sister had pointed out earlier.

Chuckling to himself he lowered himself down all the way closing the latch over head. He sat down and got comfortable then Altair got up in his lap while they both held their breath looking up at the latch.

"4! 3! 2! 1! Ready or not here i come!"

Aria opened her eyes and got up off the bed and started snooping around the floor she was on. She looked in cabinets, unoccupied rooms, closets and under beds but didn't find them. Walking to the stairs she muttered under her breath

"Hmmm upstairs or downstairs little ones… which way did you go..hmm"

After debating for a few seconds she started to walk downstairs. The floor boards creaked a little with every step she took until she was at the bottom of the steps.

Holding their breath, they could hear the floor creaking over head from their mothers walking.

Judging from the sound she was closing in on where the curtain where.

"Hehe my little boy! Mommas found you now!"

*Swish*

"Hm not here"

They both released a sigh and Altair huggled Atlas and whispered to him

"Good spot Bruder!"

Atlas put a hand on her head and started to pat her head to which she curdled up and got more comfortable in her brother's embrace with a smile on her face.

"We'll win this time."

"That's right Tair"

The foot steps came near then got further away as their mother noticed the knocked over brooms at the end of the hall.

"Haha my babies are so smart but must've accidentally knocked over the brooms when coming this way!"

She made her way down the hall and explored the rooms. She made her way through the kitchen, dining room and storage rooms.

"Hmm not here either."

She said to herself and make her way back to the stairs. Standing in front of the stairs she had a confused look on her face. Internally she thought

'They shouldn't be up on the 3rd floor, i didn't hear anything coming from up there while counting…'

Looking around the hallway and vicinity. She noticed the latch on the ground and a big smile spread across her face but quickly shifted as she started saying in a whimpering voice

"Oh no, where did my babies go?"

*Sniffle* *Sniffle*

"My babies left me all loneee"

…

"Bruder mommies crying because she can't find us!"

Altair said in a nervous whisper. Patting her back Atlas said while putting a finger on his lips

"It's okay Tair, mommas messing with us so we'll come out on our own. Let's stay her-"

…

Hearing a faint whisper Arias smile came back to her face as she slowly and sneakily made her way to the latch on the floor. No creaks came this time as if she was still in her last know position to the kids.

Sneakily making her way to the latch she could hear the nervous in her baby girls voice and the comforting of her little man. A warm smile broke out on her face as she thought

'Too cute! Way too cute! i love them so much! Oh god how did i get to be so blessed to have these two!'

Nearing the latch she moved her hand to the handle and yanked it open. Both Atlas and Altair where startled and jumped as Aira used both of her hands to pull them out and pounce on them and started to tickle them.

"Momma stop! HAHAHA MOMMA! Hahahaha"

"Mommy Nooo! HAHAHA! Please mommy!"

"Hahaha my babies, you thought you could escape from the tickle monster?"

Hard laughter rang through the house with a mixture of pleases and resolute stops.

Some time later Atlas and Altair laid breathless on the ground looking up at the ceiling, panting, trying to recover their breath. Aria looked down on them with a big adoring smile on her face.

Suddenly all three heads snapped to the stairs that led downstairs as they heard footsteps coming up.

A man with medium length dark azure hair and eyes poked his head from the door frame and yelled

"Fathers home! Where my little ones at?"

"Help father! The tickle monster is here!"

Atlas yelled trying to escape from his mother but the response he got wasn't from his father.

"No need dear, tickle monster left a little bit ago but his friend the kiss monster is here!"

As soon as she said that she attacked Atlas and Altair with kisses making giggles ring throughout the house again.

Looking at his wife relentlessly attacking the kids a smile cracked on his face before breaking out into laughter and joining in.

"Traitor! Fathers a traitor! Hahaha"

"No mommy! Hahahah dada nooo!"

But the twins pleades where unanswered as they where showered with tickles and kisses.

Laying lifelessly on the ground Atlas and Altair where worn out from their playing today. Aria looked over to her husband and said

"Dear tell the maids to have dinner ready in an hour, i'll take the kids to go get cleaned up before we eat."

"Okay honey"

He said while leaning in and giving her a kiss on her forehead. She looked over to Atlas and Altair and said

"My babies let's go get you cleaned up for dinner, you got all dusty down in the crawl space."

Nodding they all set off towards the bathroom.

Sitting at the dining table in the head seat was Maxwell von Rivers to his left sat Aria and beside her sat Atlas and beside him was Altair. Aria looked to Maxwell and asked

"Dear how was the Sect today? i know you had been saying they won't leave you alone about seeing my babies."

"*Sigh* Yes they haven't left me alone unless it's a meeting. It's like nothing else matters to them."

"Haha that to be expected my dear, my babies are the cutest. I'm worried if they meet them they won't let them leave."

Atlas cleaning up the sauce at the corner of Altairs mouth asked

"What's a sect momma?"

"A Sect is an organization dedicated to the practice of cultivation and martial arts sweet pea"

She answered back running a hand through this hair.

"What's that momma?"

"*Sigh* Momma can't tell you about that right now but momma can tell you that your momma and father are the the leaders of the Sect!"

"Mommy why can't you tell us now?"

Altair asked with a pout

"Because honey bun you'll be learning about it starting next year and by the time you're 7 years old you'll have all the answers you want, okay?"

Both Atlas and Altair nodded and went back to eating after their getting their unsatisfactory answers but could only wait.
