Chapter 45: Chapter 45 - Akira's 18th Birthday
Chapter 45 - Akira's 18th Birthday
Third person POV
A month had passed, and Akira and Hachi's gunnery training was finished, and he was given a pistol as his main weapon. That pistol was a Glock 19X with a red body design color. At the same time, that day was also his 18th birthday, so he and Hachi decided to celebrate that at Okutama. Before they leave, they eventually invite Toshi and Htet to come with them to Okutama for Akira's birthday. In response to that, Toshi and Htet agreed to come and they eventually called their employers for a few days off from work. Due to it being someone's birthday, their employers granted their request.
And so, with that, one Tuesday morning at 6:32 a.m., the four of them, under Akira and Hachi's direction, went to Okutama by car. Toshi was driving it, while Akira was in the front. Hachi and Htet are seated in the back. After 2 hours of driving, they arrived there, after pulling over at a street at the entrance of the village, the four of them were stunned to see something: a bunch of military vehicles roaming around the village. The villagers already knew what to do when this happened. Akira and Hachi were dumbfounded because they didn't expect that.
"Wait, is this…" Toshi asked while stunned.
"What is going on here?" Htet asked while being surprised with shock.
"Well…" Toshi glanced at him, "…the thing is…Akira and Hachi are nephews to the current president of the Philippines."
Htet was shocked. "What?"
The junior detective then looked at Akira in the front seat, and then at Hachi beside him. "You guys are?"
"Well…" Hachi responded while trying to calm his nervousness, "…it's a long story. For me, I was adopted by Akira-kun and his family and…"
"Yes, my uncle is the current president of the Philippines," Akira confirmed in response.
Because of this, Htet was astonished at their humble life in the countryside despite being relatives of a politically powerful person.
So, under Akira and Hachi's directions, Toshi drove them to Akira's house, which had a birthday party going on. Akira's family and some of their relatives, as well as some of the Filipino soldiers, are there. Akira and Hachi were a bit nervous at their presence in their home, but their uncle Daniel wasn't there because he was busy with his presidential work. But Daniel did send some gifts for both Akira and Hachi through his assigned and dispatched army division.
