My Boy Finally Say Yes to Me

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Secrets Buried by Time

"Leng Siche!" Xia Yuxun exclaimed in surprise.

By now, he had changed his glasses and had taken off his suit, wearing only a white shirt in a more casual attire.

"It's me! Are you... Xiaoxun?" A hint of surprise flashed across Leng Siche's face.

The reason he was sure it was her was because, apart from Xia Yuxun, nobody else dared to speak to Leng Sichen in that manner in his memory.

He hadn't expected that the woman he had met in the morning would be her!

She hadn't worn glasses in the morning and had been crying so messily that he hadn't recognized her at all.

In his memory, he had never seen her cry.

"It's me. What a coincidence! I didn't recognize you this morning either. I only realized it later when I saw the name on your business card," Xia Yuxun said apologetically as she scratched her head.

Leng Siche smiled carelessly, "I didn't recognize you either, did I? After all, it has been ten years since we last met!

"Yes, it's been so long! I remember as a child, I used to climb over the wall into your villa's yard, and you'd be sitting on the lush green grass reading. You were so scared when you saw me jumping in that you fell right off your chair, haha..."

Leng Siche chuckled softly, "Xiaoxun, you really haven't changed at all."

"Haha, really? I'll take that as a compliment on my everlasting youth! You too, still as handsome!"

Leng Siche then blushed slightly, pursing his lips.

Xia Yuxun burst out laughing, "And you're still just as shy..."

"Would you mind catching up somewhere else?" Leng Sichen's indifferent voice suddenly broke the warmth of their long-awaited reunion.

"Brother, you're still as intimidating as ever," Leng Siche said teasingly with a light laugh, then turned to Xia Yuxun and asked, "Xiaoxun, are you free tonight? Let's get together? At the Scarlet Bar."

"Tonight? I should be free..." Xia Yuxun instinctively looked towards Leng Sichen.

"As long as you're free it's fine, my brother will also be there tonight and won't give you any work," Leng Siche hurriedly reassured her.

"Then alright, I'll be there. See you tonight!"

She couldn't really say no, especially since he was Leng Sichen's brother; he deserved that much respect. Despite her not really being in the mood today, she still agreed in the end.

"See you tonight!" Leng Siche breathed a subtle sigh of relief.

"Ah! Right! Ache, what is the prescription for your glasses?" Xia Yuxun walked away, only to turn back halfway.

Upon hearing the familiar name "Ache," Leng Siche's heart melted, and he reflexively answered, "Left eye one thousand, right eye eight hundred!"

After Xia Yuxun left, Leng Sichen looked at his brother thoughtfully, "Since when have you acquired such a taste?"

Xia Yuxun might be oblivious, but he had immediately noticed Leng Siche's unusual demeanor.

Leng Siche slightly curved his lips up, unashamedly showing his good mood, "To be honest, I always thought you liked Xiaoxun. I didn't expect you to end up with Miss Bai. Since you clearly had no such intentions, I naturally had no reservations."

Leng Sichen furrowed his brow slightly, "Weren't you always cold towards her?"

"Bro, my health was like that at the time. What right did I have to approach her..." Leng Siche's expression grew sorrowful.

Leng Sichen was greatly shocked, having never imagined that his usually reticent brother had harbored such feelings for Xia Yuxun—and that those feelings were deeper than he had thought.

"Brother, bring Miss Bai with you tonight! I will also have a few classmates who returned with me from the United States; the more people, the merrier," Leng Siche suggested excitedly, seeming to have regained his vigor since earlier.

"Hmm," Leng Sichen absent-mindedly agreed.

"You saw her this morning?" Leng Sichen asked casually while flipping through files.

"Yes! She rushed out in a hurry and just happened to run into me. Right, she seemed to be crying at the time. Brother, do you know what happened?" Leng Siche asked worriedly.

Seeing Leng Sichen's slightly startled expression, Leng Siche joked, "You didn't bully her again, did you?"

After a moment of silence, Leng Sichen, resting his forehead on his hand and speaking in a cool tone, said, "She couldn't separate personal from professional issues, so I scolded her a few times."
