My Fortune-Blessed Leading Lady

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Bo Yan

Resentment surged at the bottom of her eyes, causing her head to throb with pain.

You Ye's thoughts were pulled back, and she looked around bewildered. She was certain she had died, but this place? Could it be that she hadn't died?

Before she could reflect further, a set of chaotic yet incredibly clear memories flooded into her mind, infiltrating her nerves bit by bit…

The memories belonging to this body were digested bit by bit, and her forehead was covered with dense beads of sweat.

The door of the ward was pushed open from the outside, and a nurse came in carrying an IV drip. Seeing Yuran already awake but unresponsive, the nurse was startled, "Miss Yuran, you're awake?"

This ward was one of the hospital's few suites, reserved for the rich and noble. Even though the reason for this person's hospitalization was despicable, the nurse still didn't dare to speak carelessly and inquired dutifully.

"Where is this…" She hadn't known the pain until she spoke. As soon as she did, her throat felt as though it had been scalded with boiling oil, severely painful and hoarse.

The nurse hurried to stop her, "Miss Yuran, don't talk yet. When you were brought to the hospital last night, a long iron nail was inserted into your throat, almost causing irreparable damage to your vocal cords. Your head wound is also severe, and there's a mild concussion;

This is Bo City No. 1 Hospital. I'll change your IV now, and then have a doctor come and give you a thorough checkup. Please, don't move!"

As the nurse prattled on, she instructed an intern nurse who had come in with her to inform the doctor. Yuran didn't trouble herself further and closed her eyes again, organizing everything about this body.

With a good family background and indulgent elite relatives, such an environment had nurtured such a rebellious delinquent to a shocking degree.

Moreover, it seemed she hadn't fallen from the building herself, nor had she taken drugs willingly, but her desire to die was real.

Her name was Fu Yuran, and the original owner of the body was named Yuran — truly, a fateful connection.

Since you don't want all of this, then I'll help you, and live well!

The doctor had arrived at some point, conducted a full-body examination, and advised her on a few points. Seeing her with eyes closed and unresponsive, he didn't say much more and left with the nurse.

Once they had left, she opened her eyes, only to close them again because she remembered a very troublesome issue. She had taken a year off from school but had deceived the Bo Family into thinking she was still attending. The Bo Family had treated her exceptionally well, yet she was foolishly engaging in nonsense, acting utterly like a three-year-old.

In a short while, a jumble of messy thoughts amassed. Her thoughts were disrupted by an intense gaze. Yuran suddenly opened her eyes and fell into a pair of eyes cold as icy ponds, deep like the abyss of the sea, pulling her in, making her unable to move, while a cold sweat soaked her back.

The man standing by the bed had narrow, sharp eyes, slightly upturned at the corners, bearing a haughty and enchanting harshness. His features were deep and immaculately exquisite, with slightly deep eye sockets making his nose appear straight and refined.

Deep within his eyes was a faint deep blue, reminiscent of a vast ocean. His cherry-colored thin lips were tightly pursed, indicating his displeasure and impatience.

Bo Yan…

Yuran almost blurted it out but quickly suppressed her emotions. With a voice as hoarse as gravel, she said, "Seventh brother!"

She was two years older than Bo Yan, but the original owner of the body was now seven years younger than Bo Yan. Although she had seen numerous scenes involving Bo Yan in her fleeting memories, the reality still hit hard.

As Fu Yuran, she had once met Bo Yan, but they had never worked together.
