My Mother Is A Powerful Yandere Vampire!

Chapter 10: 010

The next day,

Max woke up feeling drowsy; although he had slept, he felt as if all life had drained out of him.

But he frowned as he couldn't sense his mother. 'Where is she?' He wondered.

He groggily got out of bed, put on some clothes, and walked out of the room.

CLICK

Max opened the door only to see Helena waiting for him in the hall. "Helena, what are you doing here?" He asked.

Helena bowed to him and replied, "Young Master, the Lady has instructed me not to wake you up. And once you wake up, she commanded us to clean the room and suggested that you take a rest."

Her cheeks were flushed slightly as she mumbled inwardly, 'I can't believe they did that!' But then a small smile bloomed on her face, 'I am happy for them.'

Max nodded absentmindedly; he wasn't going to do anything even if he was asked, "Where's mom?" He questioned.

"The mistress went out; I do not know where, young master. But she informed me that she would join you for lunch," Helena answered.

Max frowned at this and wondered, 'Is it about the dream?'

….

Meanwhile,

Khiona is now standing at a large dark castle. It had massive tall dark gates that stood imposingly while the walls had statues of bats and gargoyles dotted on it.

In front of the gates were two guards standing attentively, watching everything. After all, this was the royal castle, where the vampire king lived.

Khiona walked towards them when,

BOOM

She would restrain her aura when she was with Max, and when she wasn't, she didn't care.

CREAK

The gates creaked under her pressure while the statues on top of the walls began to crack. The two guards that stood imposing were kneeling with blood coming out of their orifices.

STEP

Khiona started walking towards the gates, not caring about the kneeling guards.

"W-We greet the Vampire Duchess!!" both the guards greeted as she walked past them.

The gates opened on their own upon her arrival, and she walked into the path that led to the largest castle in this kingdom.

The castle was huge, with dark towers rising into the sky and statues of bats and gargoyles far bigger than the ones on the walls, standing imposingly and looking down at her.

On either side of her was a garden that grew black and purple flowers that gave off a pleasant fragrance.

An old man wearing a butler's uniform was waiting for Khiona at the entrance doors. He had grey hair and purple eyes, and greeted her when Khiona reached him.

"I greet the Duchess!" the man said as he bowed slightly.

Khiona still didn't restrain her aura; she stopped beside the old butler. "I came to see the old hag." She said nonchalantly.

The old butler's lips twitched at her words, 'Woman, the one you are calling an old hag is the vampire queen!!' he exclaimed inwardly in annoyance, but showed none on his face.

"Certainly," he said as he opened the door, "this way please." He pointed out.

Khiona followed the man in and walked through the many corridors. The hallways, like the rest of the castle, were dark and fitted with luxurious items; they had the same purple and black flowers from the garden exuding a pleasant fragrance.

Soon, they reached their destination as the old butler stopped at an imposing door.

The door was entirely made out of gold while an engraving of two dark bat wings was etched on either side.

The old butler turned to Khiona and bowed once again, "His Highness is waiting for you in the throne room."

Khiona frowned at his words, her aura flared up, forcing the butler to his knees and saying, "I thought I said that I wanted to see the old hag."

'Ugh! T-The rumours were true! She's strong! Stronger than her Highness!' the butler commented inwardly.

But then, a female voice came from inside the throne hall, "I am here too; leave that old man alone."

Khiona relaxed and retracted her aura; she then opened the doors and walked in, not caring about the kneeling butler.

The throne room was long, with massive dark pillars with golden veins flowing through them that stood imposingly on either side of the hall.

Banners representing the royal family and a silver moon with two bat wings adorned the pillars on either side.

And at the end of the halls was a raised stage that was looking down on the entire hall. On the raised stage were two seats, with a man and a woman sitting on them while another man was standing behind them.

They all had silver-white hair and blood-red eyes, traits that symbolise the vampire royal family.

A smile bloomed on the woman's face as Khiona walked toward them, "Ara, how long has it been since you have visited me? Hmph, you don't even have time for your poor old mentor?" the Queen said playfully.

But Khiona wasn't in the mood for chit-chat; she frowned at the woman, "Old hag, I am not here for pleasantries."

"Ah, come on, what's so important? Nothing's happening in our kingdom nor anywhere else," she said in response, but then her eyes lit up as she got an idea, "Oh, we should have tea! William had brought a very rare herb that tastes excellent when made into tea with—"

"My son had a dream!" Khiona said as she cut the Queen off.

The lively atmosphere from before disappeared, replaced by a heavy silence; the man in the seat frowned at her words while the man behind stepped closer.

The Queen narrowed her eyes at Khiona, her blood-red eyes flickering as she said, "Explain!"
