My Prince Charming - Lovely Husband

Wu Meihua was stunned and the light in her eyes shifted to the darker shade. This Wu Jinyan changed beyond her imagination, she even started to talk back.

Wu Jinyan continued with a smirk hanging on her lips "In your eyes, I was always a poor countryside orphan whom you can bully to your heart's content. Sorry. I don't want to help you or 'your husband' because I'm not related to you or your family"

Wu Meihua gritted her teeth. Indeed, Wu Jinyan was just adopted into their family and had no blood relations with her. But with the way how Wu Jinyan spoke just now, Wu Meihua was irked. 

'What?! If not for Grandpa taking pity on her, she would have died rotten long ago. Grandpa gave her the best in everything. And now she's saying she has no relations with the Wu family' Wu Meihua never expected she would see this arrogant side of her beloved aunt. Someone who lived like a docile kitten under her feet was now dancing like a fearless lioness.

Wu Jinyan had always been a puppet in her hands. Now that she was forgetting her position, someone had to stuff some sense into her mind. Wu Meihua lunged forward lifting her hand.

The patient only had a few scratches and minor injuries but this woman kept overacting. Worried something bad would happen, the nurse treating the patient came forward to stop Wu Meihua. "Madam, the patient is not in danger and there is no need for blood transfer. Also, we should first make sure the donor has no health issues before taking their blood"

When she was informed about Mo Shen's accident, Wu Meihua was rushed to the hospital. She dragged Wu Jinyan only because she unexpectedly saw her outside the same hospital. Hearing what the nurse said, she thought she shouldn't have asked this useless Wu Jinyan for help. However, she couldn't accept defeat.

So, she raised her brows arrogantly and sneered "My dear aunt, you always wanted to become a celebrity. I heard you recently signed up with Star Entertainment. For someone like you to easily sign with such a big entertainment company... you must have made a lot of good connections..."

"You should have contracted strange diseases after warming numerous beds. What you said is true and makes sense because Wu family members are not dirty like you..." Wu Meihua played with her finely polished fingernails as if saying an obvious matter and shot a disgusted look at Wu Jinyan.

Wu Jinyan glared at the woman. She felt her blood boiling in anger. Her bright image and talent allowed her to enter a big entertainment company easily. She didn't have to resort to such unspeakable methods.

And who exactly was the real dirty person here? To sleep with her aunt's fiance... It could only be this vixen Wu Meihua.

Wu Jinyan wanted to kill that foul-mouthed woman but calmed down as she thought it was an utter waste of time and energy to bother about a barking dog.

She left the hospital without looking back as so much happened in a single night, she had to first replenish herself immediately with good sleep.

Two days later, Wu Jinyan was scheduled to attend the casting auditions for the lead roles in a TV series. 

Since she was a newcomer with no strong background, she had no vehicle or an assistant to accompany her. Moreover, her manager was busy dealing with other artists. With no other choice, Wu Jinyan took a taxi and headed to the auditions alone.

As she was walking into the building where the auditions were held, she noticed someone was following her. Before she could assess the situation and escape from the place, her senses were muffled and she was dragged away.

Gu Zichen furrowed his brows lightly and opened his eyes in a daze. He did not know what exactly happened for him to feel a splitting headache.

The last thing he remembered was arguing with his parents about his single life and driving in anger towards his company. But now he was in his room in the Gu family house.

Soon a couple of doctors came in to check on his condition and left the room. Watching the doctors leave the room, Gu Zichen was sure he wasn't dreaming.

He rolled his eyes to his sides and saw his mother staring at him with tenderness in her eyes.

He noticed his mother's red eyes and pale complexion indicating that she had cried for a long time. His father also had a worried look on his face. 

Gu Zichen did not understand why his parents were now behaving as though they cared about him when they previously demanded to get out of their sight unless he got married soon.

Did someone drug him for him to hallucinate? No.. The doctors just checked his vitals and the dressing on his head. He was injured and his parents were worried. That would be normal in other families but not in his family. He knew such a drastic flip in his parents' attitude would happen only when he was almost at death. He concluded that he experienced something terrible that he did not quite remember.

Anyway, he should first find the person who wanted to kill him. "I should go find...."

Gu Zichen tried to get up from the bed but his mother, Shen Xiuzhen didn't let him move. He met with a major accident and his body was yet to recover, but he was already itching to run around.

"No need. Assistant Chen is already looking for the culprit" Gu Cheng glanced at his son, with a warning look to stay still.

Gu Zichen was stubborn and wanted to find the person personally. He got out of bed and took a few steps when Shen Xiuzhen spread her hands blocking Gu Zichen from walking further.

"Zichen, when we arrived at the hospital, those doctors said the girl who admitted you had to donate her blood to save you. Thank goodness the girl's blood is of the same type as you. If she didn't help you in time, we would have..." Shen Xiuzhen couldn't bring out those words 'lost you'. Tears trickled down her eyes as she held Gu Zichen's hand.

They didn't know how he got into an accident and received no information about the incident in time. But even after such a disastrous event, Gu Zichen was still breathing only because of that kind-hearted girl.

Mother Gu continued staring straight into her son's eyes "Son...you should at least consider the efforts that girl put in saving you"

Shen Xiuzhen knew her son's behaviour. He would surely act recklessly without caring about his health condition if that girl who saved him was not mentioned. She hoped he would respect that girl for saving him and recover well.

Gu Zichen thought he understood what his mother was trying to say only to misunderstand her.

Some girl had saved him. Fine. But that didn't mean he needed to waste his time here when he was perfectly fine. He could thank her immediately and of course, he would thank his saviour appropriately.
