"Well, I think so too..." Wu Jinyan gave a faint smile to Lin Ya, burying all her suspicions momentarily. She was very much itching to confront Lin Ya and find out her real intentions.

However, deep in her heart, she knew Lin Ya was just a helpless pawn in Gu Zichen's schemes. It wasn't fair of her to judge and question Lin Ya solely based on her own assumptions.

Moreover, the Little Bunny was very excited. She didn't want to ruin the happy mood.

Knowing the artist signed by her husband was none other than Lin Ya, Wu Jinyan saw no reason in staying at the company any longer. She was very much relaxed.

"Little Bunny, did you have your lunch?" Wu Jinyan smiled at the kid and asked her usual question.

"No. I'm very hungry but my mom received a call from her boss and we had to come here immediately without eating" Little Bunny answered honestly, not caring he might offend anyone.

Wu Jinyan felt bad for keeping the little one starved. She made a call to Gu Zihao and asked him to be ready with the car.

"Little Bunny's mother, shall we talk over lunch?" Wu Jinyan asked casually and walked out of the room holding the kid in her arms.

Lin Ya nodded her head and followed behind Wu Jinyan obediently. The woman walking ahead might be of same age as her but the differences between their statuses was more than she could ever imagine.

Assistant Ning escorted Lin Ya and Little Bunny to the parking lot through the private elevator, the same way he brought the mother and son into the company. They then walked out to meet Wu Jinyan who was waiting for them a block away from the Star Entertainment building.

Mu Feng was very much intrigued by Wu Jinyan's intimacy with the mother and son pair but didn't say anything, hoping Wu Jinyan would explain everything voluntarily. Gu Zihao also opted to stay silent and drove the car to Gu family house as per Wu Jinyan's instructions.

Just as Shen Xiuzhen was about to call Gu Zihao, his car was parked at the house entrance.

Shen Xiuzhen immediately stood up from the sofa after seeing her beloved daughter in law walking inside. To her surprise, she saw a cute, little boy behind Wu Jinyan.

She, who loved to hold a grandchild of her own was very excited on noticing the kid and asked with a wide smile "Jinyan, who is this little one?"

"Hello Grandma, I'm Little Bunny. I live next to Pretty Aunty Jinyan's apartment" Little Bunny was very quick in reacting and bowed his head to introduce himself.

"This is my mother, Lin Ya" the little kid then pointed at his mother. Lin Ya also showed her respect by lowering her head.

Wu Jinyan laughed at Little Bunny's actions and muttered "Little Bunny's mother joined Star Entertainment recently with Gu Zichen's recommendation. She is also a new artist like me"

Shen Xiuzhen nodded her head in understanding and brought everyone to the dining room. Gu Cheng also joined the others for lunch at the dining table.

When Wu Jinyan suggested to have a chat during lunch, Lin Ya thought it would be in some random restaurant and didn't expect the place to be Gu family residence.

Lin Ya felt like the odd one among everyone at the table, as if she's unfit for the extravagance around her. From her nervous gaze to her meek appearance, anyone could see that she's very uncomfortable.

"Lin Ya, relax. Don't be so nervous" Shen Xiuzhen smiled and held Lin Ya's arm affectionately. She couldn't keep herself composed with the young woman continuously fidgeting and acting all awkward.

Wu Jinyan also nodded her head and muttered "Little Bunny's mother, relax. Take this place as your home"

Lin Ya smiled faintly and calmed her nerves down relatively. She then asked Wu Jinyan to address her by her name instead of calling her as Little Bunny's mother. She didn't want the people at the company to learn about her tragic history.

She wanted to keep her past buried so badly, she opted to stay silent and acted all dumb when Shen Xiuzhen asked about it. Wu Jinyan noticed Lin Ya's struggle and notified her mother in law to drop the interrogation as she could tell that Lin Ya was very distracted and became visibly dispirited when the topic of Little Bunny's father came up during the conversation.

The men retired early to attend their own businesses while the women sat down in the living room for some tea. Lin Ya was about to pick up her cup of tea when her mobile rang.

She was very much flustered to see the call was from Gu Zichen. She walked away to answer the call and came back a minute later.

"Mrs. Gu, Madam Gu... I'm really sorry to ask but can you look after Little Bunny for a while. I'll get back to take him home in an hour" Lin Ya pleaded with Wu Jinyan and Shen Xiuzhen.

Watching Wu Jinyan's affirmative nod, Lin Ya relaxed and dropped her mobile number and other details before she walked out of the house.

With a fruit plate in her hands, Wu Jinyan walked to the lounge area where Gu Zihao and Mu Feng were playing video games.

As soon as she set the plate down, both the men approached her as they couldn't hold back their curiosity anymore.

"Sister in law, how do you know that mother and son? You seem very close to them" Gu Zihao asked directly and didn't hide his interest from Wu Jinyan.

Mu Feng also chimed in. "Tell us, what's the relationship between Lin Ya and Gu Zichen?"

From the woman's demeanor and appearance, Mu Feng could tell she's a single mother working hard for her son. He was very doubtful about the relationship between Lin Ya and Gu Zichen and wondered if Gu Zichen was the child's biological father.

Wu Jinyan stared at the men, each acting like serious detective trying to solve a mysterious case. She shook her head and sighed tiredly.
