Stepping through the gate, he was greeted by the eerie sight of two bamboo poles with flags flapping in the wind, emitting ghostly howls, and the sinister-looking tavern.

Zeng Shen quickly approached the entrance of the Spirit Tavern, grasping the black ram horn handle and pulling the door open.

A cold, forbidding aura emanated from within as the tavern door swung open.

"Nice and cool," Zeng Shen murmured, stepping inside.

This was his first time entering the Spirit Tavern, and as he did, he felt a sense of walking into a modern bar.

The tavern's interior featured a bar counter at the center, surrounded by booth seating, with rotating neon lights overhead and a colorful aurora lighting up underfoot with each step, creating a stark contrast to the eerie exterior.

Navigating through the tavern's hall, Zeng Shen reached a sofa beside the leftmost room in the tavern corridor, Room 1.

He observed the rows of empty crystal glass coffins behind the sofa and placed Asha's body into one.

Instantly, Asha's beautiful form lay peacefully inside the crystal coffin, reminiscent of a sleeping beauty awaiting a hero's kiss to awaken her.

"Truly beautiful," Zeng Shen remarked, leaning in to plant a kiss on Asha's red, luscious lips.

After a long moment, he pulled back, admiring Asha's alluring upper body and face, feeling his heart stir with emotion. He resisted the urge to lose himself in her and stepped back.

"Phew," he exhaled, feeling the urge subside as he took several steps away.

"That was intense. Asha's body absorbed so much corrupt energy from the pool. I wonder if it will dissipate when she transforms into a heroic spirit," Zeng Shen pondered, shifting his gaze from Asha to a panel that appeared above her, visible only to him.

After all, the divine realm's strength was comparable to his, likely belonging to a prodigious deity under the guidance of powerful mentors.

If they discovered that the invader was a deity's true form and couldn't harm or bind him, they might summon a senior or powerful deity to control him within their realm.

For example, if he hadn't retreated when Mors went to get help, he might not have escaped before Tuku, the superior deity, arrived to capture him.
