While Elena was resting up, Berdly was getting increasingly busy.

Tomorrow was going to be the new product launch.

This is his first time entering the high-end market as a perfumer.

Though he keeps high-end products in his shop. They are mostly souvenirs for people to take back as decorations or ornaments.

And what he is doing right now is putting him directly against those big stores that especially sell perfume. And that means he is going to be having new Competition and enemies.

But because Berdly had the backing of Alden's house, he is willing to take the risk.

He checked the market in these few days, and he knew that his product was better. So, he understood the opportunity in front of him and used his all to get the most out of it. He went to Elena twice to discuss business with her.

At last, he proposed that they don't just start with a small parameter but fully start investing in it.

So, he talked with the 'Treasure Pavilion' to get ingredients in bulk from them.

Berdly was also looking for a place outside the mansion where he could make the perfume safely.

So the relationship in their business right now is that Berdly and Elena both would take fifty percent of the profit. While Elena develops the perfume formula and production, Berdly will be in charge of marketing.

Jon too, heard some of the talks from here and there.

He had no idea why Elena was going to such lengths.

In reply, she said, "Tell me, Jon. Who is wealthier, a powerful cultivator, or a well-known merchant?"

"The merchant, obviously. But so what? The merchant would have to cough up all his money if the cultivator wants him to pay for his life." –Jon said obviously.

"Well, that is true in a sense. But if that were the case, would there be any merchant like Berdly left in the world?" –Elena replied.

Jon didn't reply.

Anyway, Elena didn't have to worry about some random guy coming here to take her money. So she didn't care about other issues.

Elena did her part. She produced Berdly the perfume needed for the opening and a few weeks' worth of stock.

Elena used different ingredients from when she was creating her bath with some extra ingredients to make this batch of stock. The funny thing is, those books actually had the whole process of how to make perfumes out of these Night-Fall Flowers.

So, in the process of making it, she used all of Jon's connections to find people with better spirit control to make the perfume. And now it is Berdly's job to do the marketing. To do that, Berdly was currently standing before the first Baroness, Amanda.

Amanda is the daughter of another Baron and the only wife of Baron Alden, who is from the nobility. While the other wives of Baron learned and adapted to their role as noble, she was raised as one.

She is a very worldly person. Jewels and Gem are her favorites. So, all the big shops know her along with the people who visit them.

She knows all the wives of rich people in the city and makes regular plans for tea parties with other nobles.

Even in royal parties, the only one that goes with Baron is Amanda.

The duty of keeping a good relationship with other nobles resides in her. Bianca doesn't put her nose in those situations. Not being a noble-born, it is hard for her to deal with those situations.

And that is exactly the reason Berdly went to Amanda and not Bianca for his current endeavor.

"Berdly, what brings you here? Make it quick. I have a tea party to attend a moment later." –She asked Berdly casually. Berdly has been the first home tutor for her son and daughter. So, she knew him very well.

Currently, her son is getting his military achievement in the war with the Kingdom of Vitonia. Her daughter Monica is receiving education in the kingdom's prestigious sky-cloud Academy with Josh, the son of Baron's second wife, Rhea.

So, there is little contact between the two now.

"Thank you, Baroness, for making time for me. I won't be taking much of your time." –Berdly bowed to Amanda.

"Yes, yes... you don't need to be so formal with me now. How long have we known each other? I used to see you every day back then. You don't need to be too shy. Sienna, prepare tea for Berdly." –Amanda said.

"Thank you for your generosity. But I have come to ask for a favor to ask of you, Madam." –Berdly knew Amanda wouldn't mind if he were a bit informal. But he still chose to speak formally.

"Madam, this is a gift from me." -He placed a bottle of Tulin. This is the perfume the brand was named after. "Please, receive it and see if it is to your taste."

"Hmm… Tulin… you brought me perfume? What's this about, Berdly?" –Amanda took the bottle off the table. She frowned a bit after looking at it.

"Miss, you see. My shop is launching this new product." –Berdly said. "Madam, please be assured that it is a high-end product. I understand that you prefer the best when choosing what you wear. And I can assure you that this is the best product you would get currently in the market."

"I didn't know you were a perfumer, Berdly." –Amanda said. She already knew what Berdly wanted from her. She may be a worldly person but not stupid.

"You're right. I'm not. The product I normally deal with for middle-class families or souvenir for some higher class family." –Berdly said truthfully. There's no point in lying. If he dealt with high-end products, Amanda would have already visited his place.

The fact that she didn't go to that place means that place is not worth it.

"So, this is your first time? Yet you are claiming this is the best product currently available in the market?" –Amanda asked again.

"Yes. I had experts judge it. And I can confidently say that this is the best product in the market now." –Berdly said confidently.

"Those are bold words. The best… I'll be the judge of that." -she was intrigued.

"You should know there is no one better than me to judge these things. Since I know you, I'll at least appraise it for you. But accepting it... would come after. Is that all right?" –She said.

First, she sprayed a bit of it in the air to take a smell. There's no way she was applying it on her skin before knowing its effect. She trusted Berdly. What she didn't is his eye for the product. She uses products made only for her. So, one could understand her high demand.

She took the smell in and let it set in her mind.

The little spray made the whole room fragrant.

Berdly smiled, looking at her face.

The expression on her face was changing from being just normal to that of an elated one.

She looked at Berdly, "The smell… it's interesting. It gives up a feeling of wanting it. It makes you… excited?" –she was trying to get the feel of it.

"It is as you say, Madam. Two main ingredients used in this perfume are Night-fall flowers and Purple Water-Stream Grass. The blending method used in creating it is more advanced than other products you'd find elsewhere. I really hope it is up to your taste." –Berdly smiled.

"The smell is certainly good. But I still need to check its lasting time and its effect on the skin. Sienna put this on." –Amanda gave the bottle to Sienna to try out first, who finished serving tea to Berdly.

"Yes, Madam." –Sienna accepted without any question. This is a normal routine for her whenever this type of product attracts Amanda's eyes. And, Sienna too likes to take flavors of different products.

They talked about this and that for a couple more minutes.

Amanda accepted the perfume for now and promised to show it off to the guests at the tea party. She knew Berdly must have known about the tea party before since he brought his product just in time. And she was willing to do him a favor.

She saw him off as soon as he finished his tea. 

She rushed him to leave.

It's not that she didn't like the guy or the product he brought. It's just this guy has no sense of time. If he was going to bring a good product, he should have brought it sooner.

There are still three hours left for the tea party.

But how could a mere three hours be enough for her to be ready for the tea party?

She has to match the dress she would be wearing and the makeup. And also the jewels to go with the whole mood.

And that chubby guy just doesn't get it that it all takes time.
