My Villainous husband loves me

Alexa and I made it back to their camp. It was exactly like the one we slept in when she rescued me from the murderous horsemen in bluestone…almost the same except for her daughter Mia who was sulking in a corner while fiddling with carved wooden something that looked like a flute.

Abe, John and the two other men whose name I have forgotten were craving up dinner and by dinner, I meant the poor slaughtered animal in front of them.

I think I threw up a little in my mouth. Killing animals is and will always be something vile and unpleasant, I had no stomach for that because most of my good friends were animals, different sources example Charlie my toad.

"Abby!"

The sound of my name made me turn around. It was Lucille.

I exhaled. It was good to see a friendly face.

"Hey, Lucile" I smiled and hugged her when I was close enough.

She seemed startled by my open display of our friendship which now thinking about it was almost none existent for normal people but I am Abby Spencer.

I am not exactly normal and who cares! Normal is boring.

"What are you doing here? We left you in Zurich" Lucile seemed genuinely concerned about my presence.

"Well…do you want the short version or the long version?" I asked her as I interlocked my arm with hers.

Lucile blinked.

"Short one, please, I haven't got all day and dinner won't cook itself"

She was more relaxed now as we walked towards the fire John was fanning.

"Okay. Well, I met the boy of my dreams and his devilish uncle who dosed me with horse tranquilizer and had his right hand man kidnapp me" when I finished talking Lucile had this look on her face like she couldn't believe a word I said.

I smiled. "Okay, now, it's your turn. Have they spoken to each other? It's been days already, it's impossible to avoid each other"

Lucile's eyes trailed to where Mia was sitting and I followed her gaze.

"She is just as stubborn as our Alpha. There is no doubt they are related. After you left, Alpha made us leave Zurich to camp here and apart from the occasional acknowledgment of existence, there has been no communication whatsoever. It is rather awkward"

I paused.

It didn't make sense. Their reunion should be something of joy not filled with resentment and sulking.

I stood up from where I sat.

"I am going to talk to Mia. This is ridiculous. They can't keep ignoring each other!"

"Abby, don't-"

It was futile because I started walking towards Mia. I watched her and I see a resemblance between her and Alpha Alexa but not that much. She had blonde hair for one and blue eyes but the frown on her face, her cheek bones and the size of her eyes were exactly like Alexa.

She was indeed Alexa's seed.

I was halfway there when a few knights entered the camp by the way Mia sat and she stood up immediately.

"Alexa?" Mia yelled out loud to get her mother's attention but there was no need for that, everyone's attention was gotten.

I felt my heart jump into my stomach. Bloody hell and hades, Sir Bastian's goons found me.

I saw Abe looked at the knights like there were nothing more than annoying little people.

Well, they are not annoying little people, they are bloody warriors with sharp swords to brandish!

"What do you want?" Alexa asked them from where she sat looking even worse than Abe - totally unbothered.

Come on! Am I the only person genuinely concerned about the fucking sharp knives?!

"We are knights of the realm and we demand you hand over lady Abigail to us…now!"

"Maybe I should go with…" I started to offer myself to them but Alexa spoke.

"...or what?" She asked nonchalantly.

"Or we take her and have fun slaughtering the likes of you!" The knight threatened.

Oh bollocks!

Bloody fucking bollocks!

"Leave! You are trespassing!" Abe said in-between his clenched teeth.

The knights laughed like Abe made a joke.

Not funny, people!

"This is his Majesty's kingdom, imp!"

"The earth belongs to no man"

Abe said and took a step closer to them but Alexa stood up.

"Stand down, Abe" she told him and he obeyed instantly which caused the knights to laugh harder.

"Oh! You take orders from a mere girl! Your weakness repulses me!" The knight spat on the floor.

Alexa smiled like she wasn't threatening the knights with her eyes.

"I was going to let you leave but you have no manners. So, Abe here will break your arms, mouthy, jam that little dagger on your waist into your feet…yes, your feet…and you, this will hurt, he will take that long of wood and slam it so far into your mouth you will require urgent physician attention. And lastly, you, you called him imp, I will let him decide your punishment"

Alexa hardly finished talking when the knights attacked and just like she described, Abe took them down one after the order in a swift manner that left me feeling dizzy.

The last Knight ran into the forest and Abe threw a dagger and it impaled his back and he landed like a tud.

I thought it was over but more came out of nowhere and we were overwhelmed in seconds and by we, I meant people with actual fighting skills.

I tried to stay out of their way as Alexa and the rest of her people rose to action to fight them off.

One of the knights came at me and I screamed like…like a little girl, Lucile picked up a pan and she swung it at the head of my attacker.

The pain made him pause but only for a half a second before he came at us again.

"Alexa!" I yelled.

Alexa threw a blade and impaled the Knight's hand to a tree, how in the hell she achieved such a feat was beyond me. It was like she moved and breathed like a warrior!

I saw one of the knights attack Mia and she was knocked to the ground in a second.

"Mia!"
