Naagin (rise of the serpent)

He sighed hearing my request and shook his head.

"That should be a piece of cake" he said while snapping his fingers.

Immediately he snapped his fingers,a projection screen appeared again on top of the golden ball. I smirked seeing the projection screen appear.

Finally, I'll be seeing how I was born, right in front of me.

No one needed to tell me what to do. I looked into the projection screen even before he told me to do so.

"What you about to see would be a little bit emotional, so it's better you buckle" He gave some sort of warning.

I nodded simultaneously.

Peering into the projection screen,a beautiful room could be seen. It seemed to be the same room I had seen during the last projection. Just the same and no difference.

The golden walls filled with gem stones that were crafted on it. The four huge pillars that beautified the room and so many other familiar features could be seen. I didn't really busy myself in admiring the beautiful room but instead moved to the most crucial matter.

The same beautiful woman lay on the king sized bed. She seemed a little bit older but still had a fresh outlook. Again, she was pregnant and was in labour pains. Four midwives were attending to her, trying to make sure she gave birth, safe and sound.

Again, the strange man who claimed himself to be Hijirar was also present in the room. He sat beside the woman,on the bed while holding her hand and arm. He was also giving her comforting words as the beautiful woman screamed in labour pains.

Arizona (the beautiful woman) screamed out in pains as the four midwives continued chanting the word 'push'. The delivery seemed tougher than the last one as Arizona did her best in pushing the baby out.

Before I forget,a little girl of about 13 or more than,was sitting on Hijirar's lap. Infact, Hijirar was again naked and the little girl just stared as her mother go through pains of child birth.

It wasn't long when the cry of a baby was heard. Somehow, I felt joy hearing the cry of the baby. But something was wrong. Something was definitely wrong somewhere.

As soon as the cry of a baby was heard, the elder midwife held the newly born child in her arms. Hijirar stood up from the bed, dropping the little Melissa and going to take a look at his newly born child. Immediately he set his eyes on the child, he frowned.

I was taken aback, seeing the frown on his face. Turning to take a look at the strange man with glowing golden hair, I also noticed that he was frowning as well. Hijirar who was just a meter away from me was frowning, seeing himself in the projection screen, frowning.

What was wrong that had made the Hijirar in the projection screen and the Hijirar beside me, frown at the sight of the new born baby?

That was a pretty long question and I was sure going to find an answer to it.

Taking my gaze back to the projection screen, I could see the horror written on the faces of the midwives including the one carrying the new born baby. They all seemed to have seen something on the baby that had made them all scared. Nevertheless, Hijirar frown deepened significantly.

Peering more into the projection screen, I took a good look at the new born baby. The child was a girl. A beautiful and cute baby girl with tiny arms and glorious features. She was the exact resemblance of Hijirar. The only difference between her and Hijirar was that, she had black hair while Hijirar had golden hair.

Using my instincts, I figured out that, the new born baby girl was actually me. I could see resemblance of myself on the child. Though, she was quite young, I could still point out that the baby girl was actually the baby version of myself. Not to lie, I was kinda cute.

Despite all the baby's cute features,a never existing frown lay on Hijirar's face. And as for Arizona, she seemed to have fallen unconscious.

Immediately after I got a good look at the baby girl, I heard a growl beside me and the projection screen faded away. I turned and my gaze rested on Hijirar who was just a meter away from me. He still had that frown on his face which I didn't seem to understand.

"That should be enough to prove to you that I am your father" Hijirar said with a growl.

I didn't answer him, instead I searched his face with my eyes for any other emotions that could be displayed on it. I wondered why Hijirar had frowned upon seeing the baby girl. I knew it had something to do with why the Hijirar beside me was also frowning.

I had some kind of an urging feeling that something was being hidden from me. There was something I didn't know that Arizona must have kept from me. The feeling was fresh and urging and it had something to do with Hijirar frowning at the sight of the new born baby girl.

"What's on your mind?" Hijirar suddenly asked breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Not much. Just an urging feeling that I am having" I answered.

Hijirar nodded and smiled, wiping the frown away from his face. Snapping his fingers, the golden ball glowed and disappeared. After making the golden ball disappear, he jumped into the air in an incredible speed and landed right in front of the throne.

I wasn't shocked by his actions. I mean, even I could do a high jump.

Then the feeling came again. Something was wrong. Something was definitely wrong and it was hidden from me. I did my best in trying to figure out what was wrong, but it all seemed like nothing was wrong. But I knew within myself, that there was something I needed to know.

Raising my head, I stared at Hijirar who was staring back at me. He had a concerned look on his face and that was kinda comforting.

"Why do I feel like there's something I need to know?" I asked,all of a sudden actually taking Hijirar by surprise.

"What do you mean?"

Hijirar asked.

"In the projection screen, you frowned immediately you set your eyes on me when I was newly born. Why did you do that?"

"Just forget about my action in the projection screen. Don't take it to heart". He said with a soothing smile making me to smirk.

"That's not all. The midwives all had horror on their faces when they had a good look at me. Is that also a mistake?" I asked a little bit coldly.

"Not really. They have their own reasons for having horror on their faces upon seeing the newly born baby girl".

"So why do I have a feeling that you and Arizona seem to be hiding something from me?" I asked with a frustrated voice.

"You already know who you are and who your parents are. You already know the truth and everything that is to be known, so there's nothing else that we are hiding from you" Hijirar specified with a sigh.

Closing his eyes, his glowing golden hair immediately stopped glowing as the release of energy around seemed to reduce.

It seems even Hijirar doesn't want to tell me what I need to know. That only means, I would have to find out whatever that was hidden from me on my own.

Arizona was definitely hiding something from me during the time when she was telling me the truth. And for sure,it is connected to the reason why Hijirar had frowned seeing the baby version of me when I was born.

But then, something clicked.

Something extraordinary clicked.

If I could remember correctly, Melissa was born with a snake tail according to the projection. But I was born without a tail, instead, I was born with legs.

Could it be that I was born a human?

Could that be the reason why Hijirar had frowned at the sight of me?

Is it possible for a snake to give birth to human?

But the evidence was there,it was all visible. Just according to the projection, Melissa had a blue tail when she was born and I had legs. That could actually be the reason why Hijirar had frowned and why the midwives looked at me with horror on their faces.

"Tell me the truth" I suddenly demanded with a loud voice that didn't seem to take Hijirar by surprise. "Was I born a human?".

Hijirar gasped out with in total surprise. He seemed shocked and it was written all over his face.

"What do you mean by that? Don't talk like a child". He spoke with undeniable godly righteousness.

"Don't lie to me again. Melissa was born with a blue snake tail,how come I was born with legs. And to top it all, you frowned immediately you set your eyes on me. I know there's something you are not telling me so spit it out".

Hijirar smirked after hearing all my sayings. He sighed with regret evidently written on his face. Touching his forehead, he smacked his cute lips and sat on the throne. Once done, he looked down at me with a concerned look.

"Alright, alright. There is something Arizona must have skipped when she was telling you the truth and it's my job to tell you".

"Okay,spit it out" I said impatiently while folding my arms.

"Actually, I was waiting for you to figure the truth yourself and it seems you actually did".

I frowned upon hearing his words.

"Soooooooo".

"It is true Naagin. You were born a human and infact, you are the reason why everything had happened" Hijirar smirked.

"Wait, what?"
