Chapter 19: Chapter 19 Amazon Lily

Namor gripped his trident with one hand and took a step forward, his eyes locking onto the Kuja warriors surrounding them. Their weapons glinted menacingly, but Namor seemed entirely unbothered.

"Enough of this," Namor muttered, his voice barely above a whisper, but it carried with the weight of authority.

Without warning, a powerful wave of energy exploded from him, radiating in every direction. The air seemed to ripple and crackle as the sheer force of his Conqueror's Haki washed over the jungle.

The Kuja warriors froze mid-step, their eyes widening in shock. One by one, they dropped their weapons, their bodies falling to the ground as they all fell unconscious. Even the leader, with her spear still raised, struggled to resist the overwhelming pressure before she too collapsed in a heap.

Enel raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a smirk. "Always ruining the fun, eh?"

Namor didn't respond, his turquoise-tinged haki still faintly flickering around him like a king's aura. He glanced down at the fallen warriors, his expression impassive. "They'll live. Let's move."

Enel shrugged, casually stepping over the unconscious bodies as the two resumed their trek through the jungle.

The further they walked, the denser the vegetation became, the trees twisting into strange, exotic shapes. Enel absentmindedly zapped any insects that got too close, while Namor's sharp eyes scanned their surroundings.

"This place is peculiar," Namor mused, brushing aside a low-hanging vine. "A civilization hidden within a jungle like this... How primitive."

"Primitive doesn't even begin to describe it," Enel replied, his tone laced with mild boredom. "I haven't decided yet if this place amuses me or annoys me."

As they continued, the jungle began to thin out, the dense foliage giving way to an open clearing. And there, rising in the distance, was a massive structure.

A colossal coliseum stood beneath them, its towering stone walls decorated with intricate carvings of snakes and flowers. The architecture was unlike anything Namor had seen, a perfect blend of beauty and raw strength. Surrounding the coliseum was a sprawling settlement of wooden and stone buildings, their roofs shaped like the scales of a serpent.

Namor stopped in his tracks, his eyes narrowing as he took in the sight. "Impressive."

Enel crossed his arms, tilting his head as he examined the coliseum. "A place for combat, no doubt. These people value strength above all else."

"Then they'll understand me perfectly," Namor said, his voice carrying a note of satisfaction.

The two stood at the edge of the jungle, the heart of Amazon Lily laid out before them. Namor's trident glinted faintly in the sunlight as he took a step forward, his gaze fixed on the grand coliseum ahead.

Namor and Enel stood at the foot of the village, the towering structures of Amazon Lily surrounding them. Without hesitation, Namor leaped down, landing with a powerful thud that sent a faint tremor through the ground. Enel floated down more cautiously, though his body winced from the lingering pain of their bout with Garp and Bogard.

"I'll admit," Enel muttered, clutching his side, "this place is more vibrant than I'd expected. But it's testing my patience."

Namor glanced at him, his expression calm but unreadable. "You're still standing. That's enough."

As they walked deeper into the village, they began to notice the stares. Dozens of women, ranging in age, peeked out from behind buildings and market stalls, their eyes wide with curiosity and caution.

"Interesting," Namor said, his voice low. "Not a single man in sight."

Enel scoffed, sparking faintly with irritation. "Let them stare. I care little for gawkers."

Before either could say more, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the streets. A group of Kuja warriors appeared, armed and determined, their bows and spears pointed directly at the intruders.

One of the warriors stepped forward, her voice sharp and commanding. "You've trespassed on sacred land. Surrender now, or face the consequences!"

Namor let out a faint sigh, raising his hand to rub his forehead. "I grow tired of this."

The same overwhelming wave of Conqueror's Haki exploded outward, rippling through the village like a tidal wave. The warriors stumbled, their weapons clattering to the ground as they struggled to stand. One by one, they collapsed, unconscious, their forms scattered across the street.

The women who had been watching gasped in shock, some retreating further into their homes. Namor lowered his hand, the faint turquoise flicker of his haki dissipating.

Enel glanced at the fallen warriors and chuckled. "You could've let me deal with them. I could use the entertainment."

"I prefer efficiency," Namor replied, his tone flat.

As they stood amidst the unconscious warriors and the stunned onlookers, Namor's gaze wandered. His sharp eyes scanned the surroundings, noting the lack of male figures anywhere in the village.

"There really are no men here," Namor said aloud, his voice tinged with intrigue.

Before Enel could reply, movement in the distance caught their attention. Three figures approached, their presence immediately commanding respect and authority.

The first was tall and imposing, her muscular frame adorned with a serpent tattoo that coiled around her arm. She carried a massive weapon slung over her shoulder, her piercing eyes locked onto the intruders.

The second was slightly shorter but no less intimidating, her sharp features and cold demeanor giving her an air of quiet danger.

The third figure, walking at the center, exuded a regal aura. Her long, flowing hair shimmered in the sunlight, and her confident stride spoke of unshakable authority. She carried herself like a queen, her gaze sharp and unyielding as it settled on Namor and Enel.

Namor's expression shifted slightly, a flicker of intrigue crossing his features. "Finally," he muttered. "Someone worth talking to."

The woman in the center stopped a few paces away, her gaze narrowing as she addressed them. "You dare bring chaos to my land and harm my people?" Her voice was calm but carried a dangerous edge.

Namor stepped forward, his trident resting against his shoulder. "I am Namor," he said simply. "King of Atlantis. I do not harm without reason."

The woman raised an eyebrow, her expression unimpressed. "Atlantis? I've never heard of it."

"You will," Namor replied, his voice steady.

The standoff between the two sides lingered in the air, the tension palpable. Enel, still clutching his side, smirked faintly as he watched the exchange.

"I suggest you choose your next words carefully," the woman said, her tone icy.

Namor's grip on his trident tightened, a faint turquoise glow flickering at its edges. "Perhaps I will," he said, his voice carrying both calm and menace.

The woman stepped forward, her regal demeanor unwavering as she regarded the two men standing amidst her warriors. Her piercing eyes flicked to Namor first, narrowing slightly as if sizing him up. Then her gaze shifted to Enel, who looked utterly uninterested, his golden staff resting casually on his shoulder.

"I am Boa Hancock," she declared, her voice like velvet laced with steel. "The Pirate Empress and one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. You've trespassed on my island, attacked my warriors, and disrespected my people. Such insolence cannot be forgiven."

Namor stood tall, unmoved by her words. "Boa Hancock, is it? I respect strength and authority. But your warriors were hardly a challenge, and your words do little to sway me."

Hancock's eyes hardened, but a faint smirk graced her lips. "Such arrogance," she said. "You will learn to regret it."

Without warning, she unleashed her power. A wave of pinkish energy radiated from her as she directed her Devil Fruit abilities toward them. Her eyes glimmered, and her fingers traced a delicate heart in the air before releasing it in their direction.

"Mero Mero Mellow!"

Namor stood still, his sharp features impassive. He looked around, slightly puzzled, as if trying to figure out what was happening. His brow furrowed, and he shifted his stance, completely unaffected.

Enel, meanwhile, barely reacted. He yawned loudly, scratching his head, then picked his ear and flicked whatever he found onto the ground. Finally, he gave Boa a lazy look, his voice dripping with disinterest. "What's with all the hearts? This is what passes for power these days?"

Boa's confident smirk faltered. She blinked, watching them both stand unscathed and unbothered by her abilities. Her cheeks turned faintly pink as her eyes darted between Namor and Enel.

Namor raised an eyebrow. "Was that supposed to do something?"

Enel snorted, waving a hand dismissively. "What a waste of time."

Boa coughed awkwardly, quickly regaining her composure.

Boa Hancock's gaze tried to darken as she stood tall, her eyes locked on Namor. "Young man… why do y—you dare to step foot on my island," she spat, her voice dripping with attempted disdain.

Namor frowned slightly, taking a step forward. "I am not just a man," he said, his tone firm but calm. "And I am no threat to you or your people."

Her anger only intensified at his words, the false tone became real. "All you men are the same," she hissed. "Arrogant, cruel, and unworthy of trust. Your kind has no place here."

Namor's patience wavered. "Your hatred blinds you. I am no human."

That caught Boa off guard. She raised an eyebrow, momentarily skeptical. "No human? You expect me to believe such nonsense?"

Without a word, Namor moved his long hair aside, revealing the small, slitted gills on his neck. "See for yourself."

Boa's eyes widened, her anger momentarily replaced with shock. She stepped closer, inspecting the gills with a mixture of fascination and doubt. "You're… not lying," she murmured, her tone softer now but still guarded.

Namor took the opportunity to press further. "I'm from the sea, born to a world that your kind could never understand. I've swum in depths where sunlight never reaches. I came here seeking strength—not for myself, but to save someone."

Her expression hardened again, though there was a flicker of curiosity in her eyes. "Save someone?"

"Yes," Namor said, his voice steady. "A member of my Kingdom. He was taken by the Marines."

Boa's brow furrowed. "Your Kingdom? Who would ally with someone like you?"

Namor crossed his arms, meeting her gaze head-on. "His name was Arlong, he was affiliated The Red Sun Pirates or something like that. You might have heard of them."

Boa froze, her eyes widening in surprise. "The Red Sun Pirates…" she repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Namor tilted his head slightly, sensing her change in demeanor. "You know of them."

For the first time, Boa's anger wavered completely. She straightened her posture and looked away, her tone now contemplative. "They were the ones who saved my sisters and me… when we escaped the Celestial Dragons."

The air between them grew heavy with the weight of her words. Even Enel, who had been lounging and observing silently, raised an eyebrow in mild interest.

Namor nodded solemnly. "Then you understand why I can't stop. Arlong was taken, and I need the strength to free him. That's why I'm here."

Boa's lips pressed into a thin line. She looked at Namor with new eyes, the hatred and mistrust in her gaze softening, replaced by a begrudging respect.

"You fight for your own," she said, almost to herself. "You're different."

Namor nodded. "I fight for what's mine. And I'll do whatever it takes to protect them."

Boa stood in silence for a long moment, her sisters and warriors watching from a distance with confusion. Finally, she let out a deep sigh. "Very well. You may stay—for now. But do not think this means I trust you."

Namor inclined his head slightly, his expression unreadable. "That's enough for me."

Boa turned on her heel and began walking away, her sisters following closely behind. "Come with me," she said over her shoulder. "If you truly seek strength, you'll need more than courage to survive the path ahead."

Namor glanced at Enel, who shrugged indifferently. "She's fiery," Enel muttered. "This should be interesting."

Namor allowed a small smirk to cross his face before following Boa deeper into the heart of Amazon Lily.
