Naruto: After Seclusion Becoming Naruto Grandfather

Chapter 30: Chapter 30

Uzumaki Chito harbored a deep-seated resentment toward the Third Hokage, blaming him for leading Konoha down its current path of decline. In his eyes, the Third should have borne some responsibility for Danzo's actions. Instead, Hiruzen had conveniently died at the hands of Orochimaru during the Konoha Collapse Plan, earning the title of a hero in the process. To Uzumaki Chito, this was nothing short of hypocrisy. He found the notion revolting and concluded that killing Hiruzen outright would have been a mercy compared to forcing him to face the consequences of his decisions.

As the confrontation unfolded, an eerie aura surrounded Uzumaki Chito. He performed a deliberate gesture, summoning a being from the void. Draped in an elegant kimono, the figure of Death—the god of death in the ninja world—materialized. Unlike Uzumaki Chito, who embodied self-reliance and individuality, Death was a collective entity, a conscious lifeform born from chakra itself.

With a cold, detached motion, Uzumaki Chito exerted his will over Death, compelling it to surrender a fragment of the Third Hokage's soul that still retained consciousness. Death hesitated, its form rippling with resistance, but ultimately succumbed to Chito's command. Slowly, it handed over the fragment—a faint, fist-sized wisp of the Hokage's soul.

Chito picked up a small piece of gravel from the ground, his expression unreadable. Without ceremony, he waved his hand, forcing the fragment into the stone. Once the process was complete, he casually tossed the stone to Jiraiya and announced, "There. That monkey has been resurrected by me. His soul is now contained in this stone."

Jiraiya instinctively caught the stone, staring at it in disbelief. The implications of his teacher's resurrection—and the bizarre form it had taken—were overwhelming. As Jiraiya struggled to process the situation, Uzumaki Chito gave a final warning to Konoha. He declared that Naruto, after less than a year of training, was now ready to leave his mark on the ninja world. The ominous promise lingered in the air.

With a faint smile, Chito's clone dissolved, its departure leaving a chilling sense of foreboding. Jiraiya, still clutching the stone, sighed heavily. Konoha had technically triumphed, but the emotional toll was palpable. A wave of grief, confusion, and unease swept through the village.

In the aftermath, Kakashi approached Jiraiya, his demeanor heavy with defeat. "What do we do next?" he asked quietly, his voice tinged with exhaustion. Konoha was now leaderless, its future uncertain.

Jiraiya took a deep breath, his gaze fixed on the stone in his hands. "First, we deal with the Hidden Sand captives," he replied. "Then, we start rebuilding. That's all we can do for now."

But not everyone shared in the sorrow. Danzo, ever the opportunist, regarded the chaos with a glimmer of ambition. Beneath his outwardly stoic expression, he harbored a complex mix of emotions. The prospect of ascending to the position of Hokage now seemed within his grasp, and the undercurrents of change began to shift in his favor.

Later that night, in the quiet solitude of the Uchiha clan's residence, a shadow moved with deliberate stealth. The figure slipped into Uchiha Sasuke's room, its intentions cloaked in darkness.
