Naruto: An Uchiha With A Superpower Roulette

Chapter 321: Chapter 321

"Konan, you fool…"

Jiraiya, feeling the life of his summoned toad snuffed out, stomped in frustration. After a moment, he took a deep breath, calming himself.

Konoha's influence had grown immensely. Even Ame no Kuni (Rain Country) was now under its control. Konan, once hailed as the "Angel" of Ame, was now assisting Konoha in soothing the displaced civilians of the land.

Her quick severance of ties with him was, perhaps, understandable.

Still, Jiraiya felt a tinge of bitterness. He had once been Konan's sensei, teaching her ninjutsu. Yet now, when he asked her to pass along a simple message, she couldn't even do that.

Many Sarutobi clan ninjas were carrying out missions outside Konoha, but they always moved in groups with other Konoha shinobi. Attempting to contact them was far too risky.

"How infuriating! Just a simple piece of information!" Jiraiya growled in frustration.

"That's because Konan won't pass along any information to you anymore—she's mine now."

A voice, calm yet sharp, suddenly rang out behind Jiraiya. Hearing the familiar tone, Jiraiya's face froze. Without hesitation, he leaped forward, putting distance between himself and the speaker. Turning around, his expression grew heavy as he recognized the figure standing behind him.

The Fifth Hokage. The destroyer of Mount Myōboku. Uchiha Yoichi.

"Impossible…" Jiraiya muttered in disbelief. "I made sure to—"

"The Hiraishin mark is essentially a chakra seal. Unless you dig a hole straight through your body, it's impossible to remove it by conventional means." Yoichi's voice was cold and indifferent. "I intended to let you live, Jiraiya, but this is the path you've chosen."

"Katon: Dai Endan!"

Before Yoichi could finish, Jiraiya unleashed a blazing fireball, not hesitating for a second.

Knowing the disparity in their strength, Jiraiya's goal wasn't to defeat Yoichi but to create an opening to escape.

Shadow Clone Jutsu!

A seasoned shinobi of his caliber performed the jutsu effortlessly, creating a shadow clone in the instant the fireball erupted. Using the flames as cover, the clone replaced him while the real Jiraiya burrowed underground.

However, as he began weaving the signs for a Doton technique, a sudden chill crept up his spine. A sense of mortal danger paralyzed him.

Bang!

A devastating whip-like kick struck Jiraiya's back. The force was akin to being crushed by a mountain, obliterating any coherent thoughts with searing pain.

"Argh!"

Coughing up blood, Jiraiya's body flew like a ragdoll, smashing through a dozen massive trees before slumping to the ground in a lifeless heap.

'He was in front of me… how did he… get behind me?'

'Is this the end… of the tale of Jiraiya the Gallant?'

As he lay on the ground, numb to the pain, fragments of his life flashed before his eyes. Memories of his choices filled him with regret. He realized how often he had chosen the wrong path, only to continue down it stubbornly.

"This… this ending… is too cruel," Jiraiya murmured as his vision blurred.

Yoichi approached, placing a hand on Jiraiya's head. With a tug, he yanked out his spiritual essence, capturing it in a sealing scroll.

"That makes one."

Satisfied, Yoichi cleaned up Jiraiya's remains. Leaving him to disappear outside the village was the best course of action. A captured corpse would only invite complications, while his absence could be attributed to the life of a wandering ninja—forever lost in exile.

"Two more Kage-level spirits, and I can ascend to the Triad Deities of Takamagahara within the Pure Land," Yoichi muttered, already plotting his next steps.

The secrets of the Pure Land were now his to claim. Neither Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo nor the imperfect traditions of Mount Myōboku could contest him. Soon, Yoichi would not just control the living world but the very cycle of reincarnation itself.

With his goal in sight, Yoichi headed to the Land of Earth, targeting two individuals—Ōnoki and Hanzo.

Though Ōnoki was a spent force, his spirit was still valuable. Yoichi entered his hospital room without alarming anyone and swiftly extracted Ōnoki's spiritual essence.

Next was Hanzo.

Hanzo and his remnants had set up a makeshift base outside Iwagakure, relying on the village's supplies and missions to sustain themselves. Despite his precautions, including armed guards, Yoichi descended upon the camp unchallenged.

Bang!

A thunderous impact silenced the guards. The sight of Yoichi's Sharingan left them entranced, erasing their memories.

Yoichi pushed open the door to Hanzo's quarters. Sensing danger, Hanzo lashed out with a scythe, chakra enhancing its lethal edge.

Clang!

The blade struck Yoichi's head but shattered into pieces against his fortified skin.

"Impossible…" Hanzo muttered, his hands numb from the impact.

"Nothing's impossible. You've simply lived too long to understand."

Yoichi's hand became a sharp blade, severing Hanzo's head in a single strike. Catching the falling head, Yoichi extracted Hanzo's essence, sealing it away.

"Three spirits collected. Time to create my Shikigami."

Though ready to leave, Yoichi glanced at Hanzo's head. On a whim, he stored it in his dimensional ring before vanishing.

Back in the Rain District, Konan was supervising redevelopment efforts. Moving mountains to eliminate rain clouds and transform the land was no small feat. Yet, it was progress—the culmination of her and her childhood friends' dreams.

After escorting Nagato on a brief walk, Konan shared her optimism.

"Once this project is complete, Nagato, the people of Ame no Kuni will no longer cry under endless rain. Yahiko's dream has come true."

Nagato, moved but conflicted, responded softly. "Thank you, Konan. You've done so much while I…"

Konan interrupted, her tone firm yet kind. "Without you and Yahiko, I wouldn't be alive today. My life is your repayment."

Returning home that evening, Konan paused at the sight of Yoichi waiting in her living room.

"You're here… Why?" she asked.

"I brought you a gift. Your enemy has been dealt with," Yoichi said, placing a scroll on the table.

Konan's expression wavered as Yoichi continued, "Hanzo is dead. Another debt settled. Perhaps you'll thank me properly this time?"

Konan lowered her gaze, her emotions conflicted.

"Can't you…" she hesitated.

"Let Nagato out?" Yoichi interjected. "You're naive, Konan. The fact that he's alive at all is a miracle."

Yoichi's words struck deep, yet Konan remained silent, her resolve unbroken.

"If you want Nagato to live as a free man, there's a way."

Konan looked up, her voice trembling. "What do you mean?"

"You'll have to bear my child," Yoichi said with a smirk.

Her face flushed, yet she didn't refuse outright. After a long silence, she replied softly, "Is that… all it takes?"
