Naruto: Dual System Power At The Beginning

Chapter 41: Chapter 41:- Invitation To Ramen

"Ryosuke, do you think Uchiha's ascension to the position of Hokage is still not enough?"

Ryosuke's expression suddenly became somewhat sinister.

"Of course, it's not enough. We need to eliminate all of Konoha's high-level officials. Only then can we, the Uchiha clan, protect ourselves and restore the glory of the Uchiha."

Upon hearing Ryosuke's words, Hachiyo did not feel excited; instead, he felt a cold chill. This Ryosuke was overly radical, even giving off a sense of danger.

With the strength of the Uchiha clan, how could they possibly eliminate all of Konoha's high-level officials?

Even if the entire Uchiha clan were to go to war, it would still be nearly impossible.

The village's upper echelon had formidable forces and power at their disposal: the Hokage's Anbu and Danzo's Root, which specifically targeted the Uchiha.

The Uchiha could not easily deal with these two forces alone, let alone the fact that other clans in the village would not stand idly by and watch the Uchiha act.

If such a plan were truly carried out, it wouldn't be Konoha's high-level officials who would be in danger, but rather the Uchiha clan itself, possibly facing extermination.

Hachiyo said helplessly, "Ryosuke, isn't this approach far too extreme? As long as we seize power, it will be enough. Restoring our honor is already sufficient."

Ryosuke coldly responded, "Elder Hachiyo, don't be naive. Do you think Konoha's high-level officials will sit back and watch us seize power? Will they obediently hand over their authority?"

"The struggle for power is inherently bloody and ruthless. If you're not prepared to fight to the death, then you might as well tuck your tail between your legs and live submissively."

Hachiyo was enraged upon hearing this.

"Enough! Stop talking."

Ryosuke was simply too extreme, too dangerous. His plan was to engage in a life-and-death struggle with Konoha's upper echelons.

The radical faction merely wanted to reclaim the power that rightfully belonged to the Uchiha, not to carry out such madness.

"Leave now. There's nothing more for us radicals to discuss with you."

Ryosuke nonchalantly walked out of Hachiyo's office.

It seemed the Uchiha's radical faction had long since lost the ruthless decisiveness needed for brutal struggles.

Outside, Idaka vaguely heard the arguments from within the office. He saw Ryosuke push open the door and walk away without hesitation.

He hurried into the office and looked at Hachiyo, whose face was ashen and tinged with anger.

'Could it be that Ryosuke refused to join their faction, angering Hachiyo?'

Feeling apprehensive, he asked, "Elder Hachiyo, does this mean Ryosuke doesn't want to join us?"

He felt somewhat disappointed. 'Why were the elites of the clan unwilling to contribute to the family?'

Hachiyo regained his composure and, with a dissatisfied expression, said, "That guy is too extreme. He actually wants us Uchiha to go to all-out war with Konoha's upper echelons and kill them all."

"This would lead the Uchiha straight into ruin."

"Don't spread these words around, or the Konoha upper echelons might immediately act against us."

Hearing this, Idaka was left dumbfounded.

Was Uchiha Ryosuke really such a lunatic?

To go to war with Konoha's upper echelon now and kill them all was utterly impossible.

If the Uchiha truly carried out such a mad act, their reputation in the village would plummet.

Even the other clans in the village would likely go to war against the Uchiha.

He now fully understood why Elder Hachiyo was so angry. The radical faction merely wanted to restore the Uchiha's glory, not lead them to destruction.

———

Meanwhile, Ryosuke walked down the road back to the clan's ancestral grounds. As he walked, his eyes casually fell on a yellow-haired child standing alone in a corner.

Ryosuke slowly approached him.

Naruto sensed someone coming and looked up at the adult wearing a high-collared long robe.

Initially wary, Naruto quickly noticed that this stranger did not have the usual cold or hateful expression toward him. Instead, his expression was calm.

Naruto couldn't help but ask, "Mister, are you a ninja?"

Ryosuke didn't expect Naruto to take the initiative to talk to him, though the way he addressed him was slightly wrong—he was only 16 years old.

"Don't call me 'Mister.' Call me Brother Ryosuke."

"And yes, I am a ninja."

Naruto's eyes widened in disbelief.

Aside from that one old man, this was the second person to treat him kindly.

Seeing Ryosuke's attitude, Naruto felt happy, quickly forgetting his earlier unpleasant experiences.

"Brother Ryosuke, I also want to become a powerful ninja someday."

Ryosuke smiled and said, "Of course you can."

In the original story, Naruto really became the Seventh Hokage.

Naruto hesitated for a moment before asking, "Brother Ryosuke, don't you hate me?"

Ryosuke froze for a moment. It seemed that Naruto had been hated so much it had left a shadow on his heart.

"Why would I hate you?"

For Naruto not to turn to the dark side in such an environment was already worthy of respect.

If it were him, with Konoha's upper echelons and villagers treating him like this, he wouldn't just rebel—he'd likely eliminate them altogether.

Naruto asked again, confused, "A lot of people in the village hate me. They call me 'demon fox.' Do you know why?"

But no matter how much he looked in the mirror, he only saw a human, not a fox.

Ryosuke chuckled and said, "What demon fox? If someone calls you that, it just means they're an idiot."

Naruto was even more confused.

"What does 'idiot' mean?"

Patiently, Ryosuke explained, "An idiot is someone without a brain or whose brain is broken."

Naruto nodded.

He seemed to understand. Those who insulted him must be brainless or have broken brains.

He was willing to trust this Brother Ryosuke he had just met.

Thinking of how Naruto had been driven out when trying to buy something earlier, Ryosuke said, "How about I treat you to some ramen?"

He had great respect for the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and Naruto was his child. He didn't want Naruto's childhood to be so miserable.

Naruto asked curiously, "Brother Ryosuke, what's ramen? Is it good?"

Thinking of its flavor, Ryosuke said, "It's very delicious."

Naruto hesitated again before saying, "But I only have ten ryo. Will that be enough?"

This was money the old man had given him.

Ryosuke frowned upon hearing this.

'Just ten ryo?' The one giving Naruto money must have been the Third Hokage.

Only ten ryo—was this a joke?

Had the inheritance left by the Fourth Hokage and Kushina been embezzled?

How could the Fourth Hokage's family have no inheritance?
