Naruto: Dual System Power At The Beginning

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: The Unbelievable Strength of Ryosuke

It was clear—Idaka could never possess such talent.

Uchiha Ryosuke glanced at Idaka and spoke calmly, his tone carrying a faint authority.

"When you've successfully mastered the first gate, come find me for the next phase of training."

With a dismissive wave of his hand, Ryosuke added, "I'm about to resume my own training. If there's nothing else, you may leave."

Idaka understood this was a polite but firm dismissal. Far from feeling offended, he nodded respectfully. After all, Ryosuke had generously shared the secrets of the Eight Gates Formation with him.

Yet, just before stepping away, curiosity got the better of Idaka. He turned and asked, "By the way, how far have you progressed in the Eight Gates?"

"Four gates," Ryosuke replied without hesitation.

The answer made Idaka's expression stiffen. He wasn't a novice—he knew the difficulty of unlocking each successive gate only increased exponentially. The pain, effort, and determination required were unimaginable.

The realization sent a chill through his body. If Ryosuke engaged him in close combat while utilizing the fourth gate, he wouldn't stand a chance. One misstep, and he'd likely be incapacitated in an instant.

There was no denying it—Uchiha Ryosuke was a genius in taijutsu.

"This… this needs to be reported to Elder Hachiyo," Idaka murmured to himself, suppressing a shudder.

As for continuing his own Eight Gates training, that could wait for another time. It wasn't that he feared the pain, of course—he just needed to carefully plan his approach.

———

After Idaka left, Ryosuke resumed his training. Having just completed 200 push-ups, his next goal was clear: 200 squats.

Each set of exercises was part of his regimen, inspired by the legendary One Punch Man training method. The results spoke for themselves—every repetition brought tangible improvements to his stats.

Once he finished, drenched in sweat, Ryosuke returned to his room. After a quick shower to wash away the grime, he relaxed in his chair and opened the interface for his Auto Cultivation System.

[Overall Evaluation:- Half-Kage level]

Ryosuke's gaze lingered on the evaluation. Strength, speed, and endurance had all increased five to six times their original values. His rank had jumped from that of an ordinary Chunin to a Half-Kage.

"If I activate the Eight Gates Formation, I could definitely contend with Kage-level opponents," Ryosuke mused. "Perhaps the system doesn't factor in temporary boosts."

The spike in spiritual power had a different source altogether—his "training" with Kurenai Yuhi. This increase in spiritual energy also bolstered his chakra reserves, which were now more than five times that of Kakashi Hatake.

Of course, the limited frequency of these "sessions" wasn't due to a lack of effort on his part. It was because Kurenai simply couldn't endure more than once a week. Each encounter was, without exaggeration, a true battlefield.

As for his Sharingan, its recent advancement to Three Tomoe silenced any prior mockery. Within Konoha, this level of Sharingan was considered a rarity, worthy of respect. Only those with Mangekyo Sharingan held superiority.

In just over three months, Ryosuke had ascended from an ordinary Chunin to Half-Kage status. With the Eight Gates at his disposal, defeating Kage-level foes wasn't just a dream, though its use was time-limited.

"Give me a few more months," Ryosuke thought, a faint smirk on his lips. "Once I reach true Kage-level strength, I'll no longer fear the Uchiha Clan's Night of Tragedy."

He wondered briefly about Uchiha Itachi. Had his words influenced the young prodigy? They hadn't interacted much recently.

"Even if he remains stubbornly loyal to the Hokage…" Ryosuke's eyes glinted coldly, "...then don't blame me for being ruthless."

———

Meanwhile, Idaka arrived at the Police Force headquarters later that afternoon. Without hesitation, he entered Elder Hachiyo's office.

The elder sat at his desk, surrounded by a mountain of paperwork. He barely glanced up at the newcomer, recognizing him immediately.

"What is it, Idaka?" Hachiyo asked, his tone weary. The responsibilities of managing the entire village's security rested heavily on his shoulders. From resolving disputes to patrolling the streets, the workload was endless.

"Elder Hachiyo," Idaka began, bowing respectfully. "I have an important report."

"Make it quick," Hachiyo grumbled, still focused on his documents.

"I visited Uchiha Ryosuke today."

Hachiyo's hand froze. His brows furrowed as he looked up sharply.

"Didn't I specifically tell you to avoid that man?" he said, irritation clear in his voice. "He may have some talent, but his ideals are dangerous."

Ryosuke's suggestion to eliminate the entire Konoha leadership had been absurd, even by the clan's standards. Not even Madara Uchiha had proposed something so reckless.

"Our clan lacks the strength for such a feat," Hachiyo continued. "A coup might force the Hokage to step down, but outright extermination? Impossible."

Idaka hurriedly interjected, his tone urgent. "Elder, his strength is extraordinary!"

"Oh?" Hachiyo raised an eyebrow. "How strong can he be? He only defeated you. That doesn't make him exceptional."

"No, Elder," Idaka said, shaking his head fervently. "This morning, we sparred again. I was completely overwhelmed. He didn't even use the Eight Gates, and I still stood no chance. And…" Idaka hesitated, "...he's already unlocked the fourth gate."

Hachiyo's pen slipped from his hand. He stared at Idaka, dumbfounded.

"If what you say is true…" Hachiyo muttered, his expression grave. Uchiha Ryosuke wasn't just a skilled shinobi—he was a force comparable to the clan's greatest assets, like Uchiha Shisui.

But unlike the peace-loving Shisui, Ryosuke harbored dangerous ideals.

After a long silence, Hachiyo finally spoke. "I'll look into this matter myself. You may leave."

As Idaka left, Hachiyo leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. "If only we could temper his ambition… such power could become an invaluable asset to the clan."

For now, though, he had more pressing matters. If Ryosuke's abilities were truly as formidable as Idaka claimed, he needed to verify them firsthand.
