Chapter 139: The Death of Two Brothers, Six-Tomoe Rinnegan

In an instant, Uchiha Yi's eyes transformed into the legendary purple Rinnegan, adorned with concentric rings and a new, mysterious power emanating from them. Fixating his gaze on Sasuke and Itachi, Yi dragged the three of them—including himself—into a desolate, isolated dimension.

The surroundings were an endless void, like a chaotic, unformed abyss of the universe, deep and boundless. Beneath them lay a small, solitary landmass, appearing as insignificant as a speck in this cosmic sea.

Itachi, barely clinging to life, opened his remaining eye to find himself and Sasuke in this unfamiliar and eerie place. He immediately sensed the foreboding nature of the world they had entered.

But his frail body, drained of strength and vitality, told him he had no means to change their grim reality.

"Sasuke..." Itachi whispered weakly as his gaze fell on his unconscious brother.

Summoning the last vestiges of his willpower, he staggered forward, step by agonizing step, towards Sasuke.

"This is your grave, Itachi. A tomb for both brothers," Uchiha Yi declared coldly, floating in the air above them. His Rinnegan bore down on Itachi like a divine judgment.

Itachi faltered. He already knew his end was near, but hearing those words and realizing he was powerless to prevent Sasuke's fate, despair enveloped him entirely.

Still, he refused to stop. His love for Sasuke pushed him forward, dragging his battered body closer to his brother.

However, Yi would not allow him even this solace.

"Void Inferno," Yi murmured, his tone laced with cruelty.

As Itachi reached out for Sasuke, an invisible, otherworldly flame erupted around Sasuke's body. The flames burned without mercy, their searing heat causing the unconscious Sasuke to wake and scream in agony. His body convulsed uncontrollably, but the flames would not be extinguished.

Within seconds, the fire consumed Sasuke completely, leaving behind only blackened ashes.

Itachi froze. His outstretched hand trembled as he stared in disbelief. His beloved younger brother—whom he had sacrificed everything to protect—was gone, reduced to nothing but dust.

This dimension, isolated from the rest of existence, ensured that no external force could interfere. Even Sasuke's status as the reincarnation of Indra, the son of the Sage of Six Paths, was rendered irrelevant here. The Sage himself would be unaware of what had transpired.

That was precisely why Yi had brought them into this isolated domain.

"No... no..." Itachi's voice cracked as he knelt, clutching at the ground. His grief and rage overtook him, pushing him into madness.

He roared like a feral beast, his movements wild and unrestrained as he attacked aimlessly in every direction. But none of it mattered.

Yi, watching this pitiful display, smirked.

"It's over," Yi declared, forming a black rod of Yin-Yang chakra in his hand. He hurled it like a spear, pinning Itachi to the ground.

The crazed Itachi had no means to defend himself. The rod pierced his chest, anchoring him where he lay, unable to move further.

Yi showed no further interest in Itachi. After all, the man was already dying from his earlier injuries. The rod was merely a symbolic end to the futile resistance.

"As a merciful god, I'll let you linger a few more moments. You can reflect on the pain of losing your dear brother," Yi said, his voice dripping with mockery.

Despite this, Yi secretly wished Itachi had retained his sanity. He would have enjoyed forcing the man to write a detailed reflection on "What It Feels Like to Watch Your Brother Die," preferably at least two thousand words.

Alas, Itachi's mind had shattered beyond repair.

Within minutes, his life flickered out.

Yi stood over the lifeless body, removing the remaining Mangekyō Sharingan before summoning his Void Inferno once more. It consumed Itachi's corpse, reducing it to ashes and absorbing his power as nourishment.

Between Sasuke's Indra chakra and Itachi's bloodline, Yi felt an incredible surge of strength coursing through him.

As the power settled, his Rinnegan underwent a profound transformation. Where once it had been bare of markings, six black tomoe now adorned each eye.

Fiery Sight, also at level 20, allowed him to pierce through any dimensional barriers. This was why he could locate Obito within the Kamui dimension earlier and even touch him through the void.

Still, upgrading these abilities had come at a steep cost, depleting Yi's soul points significantly.

And to push these abilities to level 30? That would require even more—a staggering 300 soul points per level. For now, such an investment was beyond his reach.

"Still, the rewards from killing these two were well worth it," Yi muttered with satisfaction.

His Rinnegan ability, Eternal Abyss, granted him a percentage of his enemies' power upon their deaths within the domain. Previously, it had allowed him to absorb 50% of their strength.

Now, with the Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, that percentage had increased to 80%.

The potential was intoxicating.

"At this rate, I might just kill the entire Otsutsuki clan myself," Yi mused, his grin widening.

The thought was thrilling. "Otsutsuki family, where are you hiding? Come out—I can't wait to take your lives."
