Naruto: Kaguya struggles

The last bandit looked with utter shock at his comrades bodies.

"No, no this is not happening.I am dreaming yes, yea this is simply a dream."The bandit kept muttering under his nose

In the next second he got pierced in the hand by Kageyama.

He started to scream like a pig before gets slaughtered.

"Now, you see it's not a dream."Kageyama said with a smile across his face.

"Tell us where do you keep your loot and we might let you live." Kageyama continued.

"AAAAAGHH WE HAVE NOTHING I SWEAR, WE JUST STARTED PLEASE LET ME GO. WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING YET."

"Now,now it is not good to lie." Kageyama said with calm voice.

"NO I AM NOT LYING I SWE-AGGHH"

While he begged for his life,Kageyama pierced his leg with a kunai.

"PLEASE, PLEASE LET ME GO I HAVE NOTHING EXCEPT FIVE COPPER COINS."the bandit kept screaming for his life. He started to crawl to Kageyama leg and started to kiss it.

"I guess you didn't lie,well tough luck I guess" with his final word Kageyama stomped his head killing him immediately.

"Why did you do that, I mean why did you torture him." Kimimaro asked while looking at the last bandit corpse.

"Well to extract information. I mean they won't be needing their loot right?"

"Right." Kimimaro said absentmindedly.

"That's our job Kimimaro it's not pleasant most of the times…but we must keep going forward."

C'mon get everything from their bodies then leave them. Let the wolves feast tonight as well."

After pick-pocketing them Kimimaro gave the camp one last look before returning to their camp.

Upon their arrival Mangetsu greeted them and pointed the way of their tents.

The night soon came and went. In the next morning the caravan started moving again. Passing through the forest, Kimimaro kept looking left absentmindedly.

"Why this world is so cruel!We killed eight human beings for 45 copper coins.Is that how much eight human beings cost in this world? Yes I killed the other night to defend my life and clansmen but today…Why?

Does this world care about anything except power?Do I need to become powerful so I can live a peaceful life?Then how many bones must I move trough to get there? Will I become mindless killing machine till I reach that "peace"?

So many questions that I have no answer.

I must become powerful and possibly try to retain my humanity when I reach there, that's what I understand.

After that Kimimaro turned his head and focused moving forward with new determination.

Most of the day was like yesterday strangely peaceful.The caravan kept moving forward slow and steady. At sunset Kageyama screamed.

"Alright set the camp over there, we have one more day till we reach our destination.The group of slaves who are tired sighed in relief, that they will soon return to their families.Even tired they started to assemble a reinforced camp. After all their life cost more than one more hour work.

After the necessities were settled, the slaves started cooking.

Kageyama, Mangetsu, Yoshida and Kimimaro sat together around one of the fires in the camp.

"Tomorrow we will reach the clan, but before that six kilometres to the left from the camp there we can find bandit camp with 18 bandits in there. The plan was Mangetsu and Yoshida to go there and exterminate it,but now that Yoshida was injured after the last fight, he participated, I will go in his stead. Usually this mission was going to be your rite of passage to be full fledged ninja from the clan, that are not under supervision from other clan members . But after the defence the other night and after my evaluation I will propose that Mangetsu can be independent ninja from now on.And for Yoshida, I deem your skills to be a little lacking. So you must go trough further evaluation from the clan. Mangetsu smirked and Yoshida frowned." Kageyama said.

"What is that evaluation Kageyama-san?"Kimimaro asked.

"Every young ninja from the clan usually must go through evacuation for minimum three years. After every mission you must file a report on the mission. And every mission leader must say his opinion on the evaluated ninja, usually his characteristics, his way of doing the mission, is it wasteful or not for example. Can he work with team. His battle evaluation is also a major factor. And after three years, under the last evaluation from trusted member of the council. The examiner must give them way to do part of the mission by themselves.For example that camp, that they were going to exterminate was the final test. If they returned with 18 bandits heads they passed, if they don't return or failed their evaluation continues or well finishes. If they passed the test and have more positive evaluations than negative from past missions. They will be put in front of the elders council for interview, from then on they will be full fledged clan ninjas.They will pick their missions, can form teams etc. Do you understand."Kageyama answered.

"Yes, but that means I am under evaluation right? Kimimaro asked.

"That's your first mission so yes from now on your every mission,for the next three years, is under evaluation."Kageyama patiently answered.
