Naruto: Kaguya struggles

The caravan continued on their path soon they will reach Sendai city. The journey after the fight with the Uchiha was peaceful. Even though it's sunny, the temperature was lower than other days. The monotonous sounds of rattling wheels, on the rocky path was the only thing a person can hear. The path was steep. Above them two eagles fought for supremacy of the sky.  The caravan was already above the clouds. But a person can see a little green from the gaps.

"Oi, Kimimaro, anything suspicious yet." Kenji asked.

Kimimaro once again opened his dojutsu and answered.

"Mmm… no, I guess we got lucky." Kimimaro replied.

"Don't jinx it." Kenji said with a little smile under his nose.

"I think they didn't thought we can be so dumb to go trough the most dangerous path." Kenji though.

The path was strenuous for the horses pulling the carts. So the caravan was required to stop often for the horses to regain their strength.

"Move faster, we must move to the other side of the mountain before nightfall."Fujita ordered.

Soon the caravan reached the other side of the mountain.

Fujita looked up at the sky and saw that the new moon was high in the air and the sun was at the ground, launching it's last sun rays for the day.

He looked at Kenji.

"We need to camp soon."

Kenji looked at him and nodded.

"There's a village nearby we can reach it and find shelter there. It's pretty isolated so they will not spread the news about our path."

"Up to you." Fujita replied and ordered his man to continue forward.

Soon they reached the village, the mountain men looked at them curiously. Soon Fujita stopped one of the men and asked where they could find a tavern or home. The man pointed downwards and told them that they will find a tavern 500 after the village. Fujita smiled and trowed him one copper coin.

"Come one boys, we almost reached the tavern" Fujita yelled and the caravan continued.

Soon they reached the tavern. Kimimaro was outside guarding the carts full of goods. While the others went in to get to their rooms. Thirty minutes later Kenji got outside with two bowls of gruel. He gave one to Kimimaro and sat next to him.

They ate in silence, and when they finished their food, Kenji asked.

"So when are you going to start to learn the Kaguya dances?"

"I don't know I am waiting for that fossil to tell me that I am ready, he forbid me to learn them before he gave his consent." Kimimaro replied while laying on the yellowish grass.

"Hmm seems to me that you can endure the burden of the dances right now." Kenji said while looking at the stars above him.

Kimimaro quickly stood up and ogled his eyes.

"Really that ancient man told me that I cannot withstand them for even a minute."

Kenji laughed and looked at Kimimaro and said.

"You know only you can speak like that. No one messes with Zangetsu. Do you know what is his nickname among our clan and in the world stage?"

"No, for me he is just senile old man for the most of the time."

Kenji smiled.

"We are lucky we are not enemies with the famous Dragonborn of the Kaguya clan."

Kimimaro raised a brow.

"Dragonborn?"

"Yes the Emperor gave him this nickname, after Kamakura rebellion. He was enlisted as one of the emperor generals, and led the fight against Kamakura, Haresaku and Shota clan. He joined the battle himself and slaughtered one hundred fifty trained samurai himself ,and led his clan and other samurai clans to destroy the enemies of the emperor.

From then on he was known as Dragonborn, Dragon amongst men."
