Chapter 101: Chapter 35

In the heart of The Green, Gaia's dimension—a realm brimming with life and the essence of nature—Naruto walked with purpose, his steps quiet but resolute. The verdant energy pulsed around him like a living heartbeat, the atmosphere thick with power.

"I am sorry for the pain she brought you," Gaia said, her voice soft but weighted with genuine remorse.

Naruto's eyes, cold and unyielding, locked onto hers. "I won't blame you. Just tell me where to find her. It's time to end her existence."

Gaia studied him for a moment, her expression calm yet guarded. She already knew his motives were clear: his daughter, Hima. Nyx had dared to harm her, and that alone had sealed her fate.

"Are you sure?" Gaia asked. "She isn't just another enemy. She is the darkness itself, the eternal night that veils the universe. Father's eldest child. Her power is unfathomable."

Naruto tilted his head slightly. "Then quantify it. How many times stronger is she than you?"

Gaia sighed, shaking her head. "I don't know. I've never seen her at full power. And to be honest, I don't think killing her is even possible."

Naruto's resolve didn't waver. "I'll see to it. And thank you for your assistance. Your presence is... calming. For that, I'm grateful." His voice softened as he took her hand and kissed it lightly. "You're always welcome to call on me or visit. Wish me luck."

With those parting words, he vanished, leaving Gaia momentarily stunned. A small smile touched her lips as she shook her head. 'Still too young, or am I just making excuses? Perhaps it's fear that holds me back... fear of finding a consort.'

In an empty, ruined city, Naruto trained Raven, the daughter of Trigon, pushing her to unlock her potential. The air was thick with volatile energy as Raven unleashed her demonic powers, her strikes wild and destructive but unfocused.

"Raven, you're doing well," Naruto encouraged, his voice calm yet firm as he dodged another chaotic blast. "Don't be afraid. Release it all. I can take it."

Raven's frustration mounted as she hurled another wave of energy. A chakra-infused beam from Naruto struck her mid-air, sending her crashing into the ground. Pain radiated through her body, her breath hitching in fear.

'That almost killed me,' she thought, panic gripping her for a moment before she forced it down. 'No. I can't waste his time. I have to do better.'

Reappearing from the shadows, Raven caught Naruto's arm in a surprise move. He smiled faintly, unperturbed. "Good. But what's next?"

Without hesitation, she poured her energy into him, an overwhelming flood of dark power. But Naruto's hand closed over hers, halting her attack effortlessly.

"Not a good choice," he said with a small shake of his head. "You're still suppressing your emotions. Let them go wild. Show me you can hurt this body."

"I'm trying!" Raven's voice cracked with frustration. "I'm trying!"

Naruto's hand moved to her chin, tilting her face upward so their eyes met. His golden gaze bore into hers, radiating warmth and overwhelming emotion. "Then let me guide you."

Raven froze, caught in the intensity of his stare. Emotions—anger, sorrow, love—flooded into her, a torrent she wasn't prepared for.

"AHHH!" she screamed as the dark energy within her surged uncontrollably, leaking from every pore and engulfing the entire city in a maelstrom of destruction.

Naruto, his body bleeding and damaged from the corrosive power, smiled despite it all. 'So this is the true extent of Trigon's influence. This is... informative. I'll need to be far more prepared before facing him.'

Raven, her form now shrouded in pulsating dark energy, looked at him with crimson-glowing eyes. Her connection to him had deepened, his shared emotions forging a bond that was raw and personal. She felt something unfamiliar—a sense of belonging, a sense of safety.

"What's wrong?" Naruto asked, noticing her lingering stare.

"Nothing. Are you okay?" Raven's voice trembled slightly.

"I'm fine," Naruto reassured her. "But we're not done. We need to draw out more of your power and make sure you can control it. The day is getting closer."

Without warning, he struck, a sharp kick to her neck sending her crashing into the ground. She emerged unscathed, the dark energy cushioning the blow.

"Good," Naruto said, his tone approving. "Now, copy my moves and make them your own. Bolts of raw energy are too predictable."

Raven nodded, determination flickering in her crimson eyes as she attempted to compress her powers into a focused beam. Her first attempt exploded violently, sending her reeling. A sharp, blunt strike hit her hand, and she winced but pushed forward.

Naruto, smiling faintly, covered the sky with an array of intricate techniques—shadows intertwining with pure darkness, forming attacks Raven could replicate and refine. This training wasn't just for her survival; it was preparation for a future where she'd stand on her own, a force to be reckoned with.

Elsewhere, a clone of Naruto trained a theoretical version of Raven, delving into the technical nuances of darkness manipulation. But here, in this city of ruins, it was a test of will and resilience—a battle to shape Raven into the weapon she needed to become.

In the higher dimension, two beings of vast power and opposing natures stood in contrast to one another. The ethereal glow of Hemera, the embodiment of daylight, clashed against the unyielding void of Nyx, the primordial immortaldess of night. Their conversation, heavy with tension, floated through the infinite expanse.

"Mother," Hemera began, her voice soft yet firm, "why do you continue to play around with mortals like this?"

Nyx's voice was darkly amused, echoing through the void. "You wouldn't understand, child. You've always been too innocent, too dull. I find amusement in it. Watching mortals struggle reminds me of the old days—their ingenuity, their raw emotions. It's fascinating. Without their struggle, life would be unbearably tedious."

Hemera's glow flickered, a faint sign of her unease. "Why must you harm them? You know it will only bring you trouble. That girl, Zeus's daughter—she could pose a danger to you."

Nyx's laughter resonated like the whisper of shadows. "Zeus's daughter? A threat to me? Don't be ridiculous, child. Even Zeus himself trembles in my presence. His progeny is insignificant."

Hemera's expression remained calm, though her light dimmed slightly in resignation. "And the outsider? Why did you provoke him? You must know how dangerous he is."

At this, Nyx ceased her restless movement. The darkness around her stilled, her attention sharpening. "He involved himself in matters that were none of his concern. I merely responded in kind." Despite her confidence, a fleeting unease crept into her voice—an acknowledgment, perhaps, of the unknown factor that Naruto represented.

"Mother, I hope you'll repent before it's too late," Hemera implored, her tone carrying both sadness and urgency. "He doesn't seem like one to let things slide."

Nyx dismissed her concerns with a wave of her hand, her shadowy figure barely shifting. "I'll think about it. Now, leave me, Hemera."

With a casual flick of her finger, Nyx expelled her daughter from her realm. Hemera vanished in a flash of light, leaving the primordial immortaldess alone, her form merging into the vast expanse of darkness.

For a moment, Nyx stood in silence, the oppressive void enveloping her completely. A faint smirk played across her unseen lips, though the flicker of something unspoken lingered in her mind—a strange, unfamiliar sensation she couldn't quite place.

Days in the bustling city passed with a newfound lightness. Naruto had become more expressive, his stoic demeanor softening into genuine smiles and moments of joy. This change did not go unnoticed by the girls around him; it brought them happiness and comfort. They spent more time together, laughing, exploring the city, and engaging in playful escapades that strengthened their bonds. These moments reminded everyone that Naruto cared deeply for them—far more than his usual guarded nature had ever revealed.

Himawari, or Hima as everyone affectionately called her, was different now. Her once-intense and somewhat obsessive affection for her father had mellowed into something more balanced. She was more positive, her warmth radiating toward everyone around her. This transformation was subtle but profound, hinting at a change deep within her heart.

Naruto had taken a significant step recently: he decided to share his story with those closest to him. He recounted his life from his childhood to the present, carefully skipping over the darkest days but still revealing enough to help them understand the path that had shaped him. The girls listened intently, their emotions ranging from admiration to sorrow as they learned about the trials that had defined his life. They also began to understand the roots of Hima's devotion and the burdens Naruto carried. It brought them closer as a family.

One day, while Naruto walked through the serene city streets, Hima followed close behind. Her playful nature returned in full force as she jumped onto his back, wrapping her arms around him with a giggle.

"Dad, why so serious? Everything seems to be falling into place, and all will be well," she murmured into his ear.

Naruto chuckled softly but sighed. "I know, but sometimes I still worry. There are so many things I'm afraid of."

Hima shifted her head closer, her tone playful yet filled with an undertone of sincerity. "Does Father love me?"

"Always," Naruto replied without hesitation.

Hima laughed, the sound melodic and pure. She leaned closer and began to sing softly, her voice weaving a hauntingly beautiful melody.

**"Beloved, tell me all your sweet, sweet little lies

All about the dark places you hide

Tell me all your problems, make them mine

Tell me all your sweet, sweet little lies.

I wonder if the sun will shine again

If I'll ever see your face again

You know I'd rather die than say goodbye

So tell me all your sweet, sweet little lies.

You and me in an empty room

They can't get in, only room for two

If you play your part, and I play mine too

I'll never take my eyes off you."**

Her voice was laced with emotion, each word striking Naruto's heart like a chord of truth. She wanted him to open up, to share his burdens and pain. It wasn't just about her love for him; it was about healing him, bringing back the Naruto who could smile without sorrow weighing him down.

Naruto froze for a moment, shaken by her words. They carried more than just affection—they revealed her own inner struggle. She wasn't asking for the "yes" of casual agreement but for a deeper affirmation, a promise to confront the shadows that haunted him.

"Hima, are you serious?" Naruto asked, his tone urgent as he shifted her to face him. "What if I died? What would you do?"

Hima's smile didn't falter, but her words were stark and immediate. "I will die. I only exist for Dad. If Dad doesn't exist, then there is no point to my existence."

Naruto's heart stopped for a moment. Horror and sadness coursed through him as her calm declaration replayed in his mind. That smile—it wasn't the one he wanted to see on his daughter's face. It was a mask for a truth he had been too afraid to confront: Hima's love for him had grown dangerously absolute.

"Hima, promise me you won't do that. If something happens to me, I need you to find a way to bring me back. Don't give up." Naruto's hands gently cupped her face, his golden eyes searching hers with desperation.

"As Dad commands," she replied with a serene smile. But Naruto could see the unspoken truth in her eyes: if bringing him back proved impossible, she wouldn't hesitate to follow him into the void.

Naruto pulled her into a tight embrace, his chest tightening with a mixture of fear and determination. He knew he was being hypocritical—if Hima were to die, he wouldn't want to live either. But as her father, he could never accept the idea of her throwing her life away for him.

"I'll do whatever it takes," he whispered to himself. "For her... I have to find a way to save us both."
