Chapter 3: Chapter 3

In the serene domain of Gaia, Naruto floated gently above the verdant ground, his presence cradled by the soothing energy of the primordial immortal. Their conversation carried a warmth that was alien to Naruto, though it filled a void he had long ignored.

"Thank you, my child, for such a precious promise," Gaia said, her serene smile radiating maternal affection. "I, too, will do my best to help you." Her voice was gentle, yet firm, a reminder of the ancient power she wielded.

Naruto nodded, his blue eyes filled with gratitude. "I appreciate it, Gaia. I don't want to let you down."

Gaia's expression softened further. "As promised, I will share what I know about the ones who now hold your fragmented power. There are four confirmed bearers:

"First is Hercules, the son of Zeus. He is the strongest among them, not only because of his immortal body but his unmatched physical strength. Unlike his father, who wields lightning, Hercules relies purely on brute force. His fragment represents the steam element, fitting for one whose sheer power rivals nature's raw intensity.

"Second is Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon. He wields the water element and is known as a leader among the new generation of demi-immortals. His connection to his father's domain gives him remarkable prowess over water.

"Third is Nico di Angelo, the son of Hades. He holds the Yin piece, embodying the power of darkness. A reclusive child, Nico's affinity for shadows makes him a challenging adversary, as he rarely stays in one place for long.

"And lastly, Jason Grace, another son of Zeus. He wields the lightning piece and is a skilled warrior, known for his loyalty and sense of justice.

"The remaining pieces have likely been given to those close to these four, although I cannot confirm their identities." Gaia's tone carried no malice as she spoke of the bearers but was tinged with sadness.

Naruto absorbed her words, his brows furrowing in thought. "Are they all bad people? Or is it just the Olympians themselves?" he asked, wanting to understand whether he should approach with caution or compassion.

Gaia sighed, a weight in her voice. "These children are victims in their own right. They have suffered under the hands of their parents' hubris and neglect. While I do not sense malice in them, they are bound to the Olympians' will. Should a prophecy arise or their immortals order it, they will see you as a threat—a monster to be vanquished. You must tread carefully."

Naruto nodded solemnly. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the heads-up, Gaia. I don't want to hurt anyone if I don't have to."

Gaia smiled, her pride in him evident. "That resolve is what makes you special, my child. Now, I will send you to the surface. The knowledge of how to return to me will remain with you. When you need a sanctuary or wish to speak, my domain will always welcome you."

She embraced him one last time, and for the first time in a long while, Naruto felt the warmth of a motherly figure. He closed his eyes, savoring the moment before a gentle light enveloped him.

In the World Above

Naruto's form materialized from the ground in an alleyway in New York City. His senses were instantly assaulted by the chaotic energies of this new world. The air lacked the vitality of natural energy, and the oppressive atmosphere made him feel faintly ill.

He stumbled out of the alley, blending into the bustling crowd with casual ease. The towering buildings, roaring vehicles, and sea of people were unlike anything he'd ever encountered.

"This place is so strange," he muttered, taking in the mechanical marvels around him. "These 'cars'... they're impressive but so unnatural. If chakra powered them, maybe they wouldn't be so bad for the environment."

He walked aimlessly, absorbing the sights and sounds, but his mind drifted to the events that had led him here. He thought of Kaguya's defeat, Sasuke's betrayal, and the fight that had torn their world apart.

"I hope Sasuke's okay," he whispered, his voice laced with melancholy. A sudden memory flashed—a faint green light streaking toward Sasuke as Naruto fell through the dimensional gap. "What was that? It felt... familiar somehow."

Pushing the thought aside, Naruto found himself at an Internet café. He accessed the information Gaia had implanted in his mind and began searching for information on the Olympians. As he read the legends, his hands clenched into fists, his knuckles white with restrained anger.

"These immortals..." His voice was low, trembling with fury. "They're worse than Orochimaru. At least Orochimaru had a goal. These immortals kill and manipulate for the sake of their egos."

Emerging from the café, Naruto wandered into a nearby park. The greenery, though sparse compared to his world, provided a small sense of comfort. Sitting on a bench, he tested his abilities. Flames flickered in his hand, water swirled at his fingertips, but the strength was far from what he once commanded.

"I'll make do," he muttered, determination hardening his gaze. "Even without my full power, I'll find a way to stop the Olympians. This world deserves better than their tyranny."

Just then, he sensed something overhead. A winged creature, light and nimble, glided through the air. It radiated an almost childlike innocence and peace.

"A harpy?" Naruto squinted, curiosity sparking within him. Rising from the bench, he decided to follow the creature, eager to learn more about this strange new world.

Naruto moved quickly, his instincts guiding him as he pursued the red-haired harpy through the park. He finally found her perched on the branch of a tree, her sharp gaze locked on a picnic table below.

An old man sat there, swatting at other harpies with a twisted grin, his movements full of sadistic delight. Several harpies lay motionless on the ground, their attempts to steal food met with brutal blows.

Naruto squinted, trying to recall the old man's identity. "Something about being cursed by Zeus... but now it looks like the harpies are the ones suffering instead." His fists clenched. The scene stirred a familiar anger within him, one he hadn't felt since his battles against the unjust rulers of his own world.

The red-haired harpy, smaller and more elegant than the others, caught his attention. Her intelligence was evident in the way she watched and calculated, unlike the others who repeatedly and futilely dove toward the food.

'She's different,' Naruto thought, admiring her fiery red hair and striking features.

As he debated intervening, the harpy made her move, darting toward the table with precise timing. Her claws reached for the food, but the old man reacted faster than expected, swinging his weapon with force.

"Gahhh!"

The harpy cried out in pain as the blow struck her wing, sending her spiraling to the ground. She tried to crawl away, her injured wing dragging behind her, but the old man stood over her, his expression one of manic glee.

"You wretched pests have tormented me for years. Now, it's your turn to suffer!" he shouted, raising his makeshift weapon to strike again.

Naruto's body moved before his mind could catch up. With a burst of speed, he closed the distance, his anger boiling over as he threw a punch at the old man.

To Naruto's surprise, the old man dodged, his movements unnaturally sharp. The man swung his weapon, but Naruto sidestepped with ease and countered with a devastating blow to the man's face. The impact was far greater than Naruto intended, and the old man's body crumpled to the ground, lifeless.

Naruto froze, staring at his bloodied hand. "I... I didn't mean to kill him." His voice trembled, but he shook his head, forcing himself to focus.

"He wasn't a good person. What I did was right," he muttered, trying to steady his nerves. Turning to the injured harpy, he knelt beside her as she tried to crawl away.

"Don't worry," he said softly, his voice gentle. "I won't hurt you."

The harpy hesitated, her vivid green eyes locking onto his. "You... will not hurt Ella?"

Naruto smiled warmly. "No, I won't hurt Ella."

Hearing his assurance, Ella stopped struggling and allowed him to approach. Naruto placed his hands on her injured wing, channeling the faint remnants of his chakra. A soft green glow enveloped the wound, slowly knitting the torn flesh back together.

"Ella likes the feeling from the light," she said, her voice innocent and childlike. "Ella also loves books."

Naruto paused, surprised. "You like to read?"

Ella nodded, her expression lighting up. "Yes, Ella loves words. Words calm Ella down. Words don't hurt Ella."

Naruto's heart ached at the sadness in her voice. Gently, he touched her scarred back, his chakra working to heal the lingering marks of her past.

"Looks like you've made a friend already," a familiar voice said from behind him.

Naruto turned, his face breaking into a joyful grin. "Gaia!"

Standing before him was a small, fairy-like figure made of earth and flowers, radiating the same calming energy he had felt in her domain.

"I thought you couldn't move," Naruto said, surprised.

"This isn't my true form," Gaia explained with a kind smile. "It's a fragment, a body made of mud. It holds no power, but I wished to accompany you so you wouldn't feel lost or lonely."

Naruto's grin widened. "Thank you. It means a lot to me." He gently picked her up, marveling at her tiny form. "You're so adorable like this!"

Gaia chuckled, shaking her head. "That's enough, Naruto. I appreciate the compliment." She perched on his shoulder, her presence comforting and grounding.

Ella watched the interaction from a nearby branch, her bright eyes curious but cautious.

"What do you plan to do with the harpy?" Gaia asked, glancing at Ella.

"Nothing," Naruto replied casually. "I just wanted to save her."

Gaia nodded, a soft smile on her lips. "And what about the artifacts?"

Naruto shrugged. "I'll collect them, but there's no rush. They're not going anywhere, and I want to understand this world first. The demi-immortals, their struggles... I need to see it all with my own eyes."

He turned to Ella, his expression gentle. "It was nice meeting you, Ella. Stay safe."

Ella watched silently as Naruto walked away, her gaze lingering on him long after he disappeared from sight.
