Naruto: Playing Minecraft In Konoha

Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Danzo: Hiruzen! I Am the Hokage Now!

Two weeks later...

After much persuasion by Jiraiya, Tsunade finally agreed to return to the village and assume the position of Hokage.

Naruto had no idea what kind of tactic the old white-haired pervert had used to convince her.

All he knew was that every time he had tried to threaten her by spilling his own blood, it had completely failed.

In the end, Jiraiya's silver tongue was far more effective than his attempts.

It was worth noting that Tsunade's hemophobia had been completely cured after Uzumaki Naruto's 87th attempt at treatment. Her anger overwhelmed her fear that day, and she was finally free of it.

That said, she didn't hold back in expressing her "gratitude."

Tsunade unleashed her Yin Seal without hesitation and beat Naruto black and blue. Jiraiya, as the instigator, wasn't spared either.

The culprit had no chance to escape Tsunade's wrath. After a flurry of punches and kicks, Jiraiya ended up with three broken ribs, a fractured right leg, and a fractured left arm.

---

Outside the Land of Fire, Naruto walked at the back of the group, while Jiraiya lay sprawled across a large floating iron gate. Up front, Tsunade and Shizune marched with sour expressions.

Naruto's panda-like black eyes hadn't faded yet, and he dared not take out any healing potions.

He didn't need to think twice—if Tsunade saw their injuries healed, she would most certainly pummel them again.

Naruto wasn't too worried about himself, though. Sure, it hurt, but he could recover in half a day. No big deal.

Jiraiya, on the other hand, was in dire straits.

Over the past two weeks, Tsunade had come to a conclusion: without using her Yin Seal, she couldn't do much to that stubborn yellow-haired brat. So, she decided to vent her frustrations on Jiraiya instead.

Whenever Naruto annoyed her, she would first give him a light beating to get it out of her system, then turn her full fury on Jiraiya.

---

"Pervy Sage, why are we still walking back?" Naruto asked, hands behind his head, looking up at Jiraiya. "I could just open a portal and get us back to Konoha in no time."

"Tsunade said she wanted to gamble a bit more before returning to the village..." Jiraiya's face twisted in despair. "Just... don't provoke her again, please. I can't take it anymore!"

Tears welled up in Jiraiya's eyes. He was on the verge of a breakdown.

This mess was all because of Naruto!

So why was he the one suffering the most?!

Every time they got beaten up, Naruto would yell louder than anyone, yet walk away completely fine afterward.

Jiraiya, however, was left with broken bones and severe injuries every single time.

When Tsunade activated her Yin Seal in anger a few days ago, he genuinely thought his time had come to meet the Sage of Six Paths in the afterlife.

This little brat!

What the hell did you do to make her so mad?!

Jiraiya slammed his hand against the iron gate in frustration, only to jolt in pain as it aggravated his injuries.

Still, there was one piece of good news.

At least Tsunade's hemophobia was finally cured.

---

"Oh..." Naruto muttered. "Off to the gambling den again, huh?"

"What's that, brat? Got a problem with it?" Tsunade snapped, her icy gaze locking onto Jiraiya instead.

Jiraiya flinched, grabbing Naruto's shirt with his uninjured hand and mumbling incoherently, desperate to stop the boy from saying anything else that might provoke her.

"Nope..." Naruto sighed. "As long as you're happy, Granny Tsunade."

Feeling sorry for his master, Naruto decided to hold his tongue. No point in arguing with the old lady.

Besides, ever since her hemophobia was cured, Tsunade had calmed down a bit.

Sure, she had beaten him once for refusing her cursed necklace and another time for almost cooking Tonton out of curiosity. But other than that, she hadn't really caused any major trouble lately.

Naruto felt he had been pretty restrained.

Tsunade, noticing the silence from the duo behind her, snorted coldly and resumed walking.

---

Konoha Village—

Ever since the troublesome master-and-student duo had left the village, things had been... quieter.

Well, relatively quieter.

Sakura was engrossed in her research on scientific ninja tools, while Sasuke was focused on improving his Fire Release techniques.

Both experiments were dangerous, to say the least. Explosions were commonplace—small ones every day, larger ones every other day.

Unlike Naruto, neither of them had the ability to restore things quickly. After they completely wrecked the training ground, they moved their experiments to the outskirts of the village.

Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu were at their wits' end.

Their blood pressure had skyrocketed over the past few days. Even the medication left behind by the Third Hokage was nearly depleted.

Although the damage caused by Sakura and Sasuke hadn't directly endangered the village, at this rate, Konoha would soon run out of places for them to destroy.

Boom!

BOOM!

Two more explosions echoed from the north side of the village.

Mitokado Homura glanced at the black smoke rising outside the window, massaging his temples as he fished out another pill.

"Koharu, we can't let this continue..." he groaned. "I can't take it anymore!"

"The Hokage Tower has received 1,250 complaints in the past few days... I'm done! I'm so done!"

---

Attempts had been made to stop them, of course.

Sakura was a polite child. She would apologize and promise not to do it again. But within hours, she'd be back to causing more explosions.

Sasuke, however, was a nightmare.

The Uchiha prodigy ignored any warnings, boldly declaring, "I don't have money, but if you want my life... come and take it!"

The ANBU ninja assigned to stop him had had enough.

They couldn't do anything to Naruto, but surely they could handle this brat, right?

Wrong.

That day, the explosions were so intense they destroyed several houses, and the ANBU operatives ended up hanging from trees.

In the end, the village had to foot the repair bills, as Sasuke had already sold off all of the Uchiha Clan's assets.

---

After a long silence, Koharu finally spoke, swallowing a pill herself.

"If I remember correctly... Danzo has been out of the hospital for a while now."

"Why don't we... let him serve as the Acting Hokage for now?"

Homura's eyes lit up. He slammed his hands on the table and exclaimed, "It's decided, then!"

"Since the Fifth Hokage has yet to return, Danzo will take over as Acting Hokage."

Within half a day, Danzo received the official appointment.

---

"Hahahahahaha!!"

Danzo held the appointment letter in his hand, laughing maniacally.

The surrounding ROOT members stepped forward, bowing in congratulations.

"Congratulations, Lord Danzo, on becoming the Acting Hokage!"

Squelch!

Danzo's expression darkened. Without hesitation, he drew a kunai and killed the ROOT ninja who had spoken.

Sweeping his cold gaze across the room, he growled, "It's Hokage! Not Acting Hokage!"

"Drag the body out!"

"Yes, Lord Hokage!"

No one dared to utter the word "Acting" again.

Danzo closed his eyes, basking in the chorus of "Lord Hokage" from his subordinates.

A lifelong ambition, finally realized!

In this moment of triumph, he wished he could say one thing to his old friend.

Hiruzen! I'm the Hokage now!
