Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru returned to the village, leaving Danzo Shimura in command of the camp, with Gu Xingxi as the lead Jonin.

Although Gu Xingxi was still technically a Genin, his performance on the battlefield was on par with that of an elite Jonin.

The trio made all haste back to the village, departing from the camp in the morning and arriving at Konoha's main gate by night.

After registering their arrival, they entered the village. Tsunade and Orochimaru went home to rest in preparation for a meeting the next day,

while Jiraiya immediately sought out the Third Hokage to find a jutsu for his disciple, Minato Namikaze.

The Third Hokage, seeing Jiraiya climbing through the window, frowned deeply. "-_-|| Can't you use the front door?"

Jiraiya laughed heartily, "Hahaha, old habits die hard, old man."

The Third Hokage, not wanting to dwell on Jiraiya's antics, asked, "Why not rest after coming back? What brings you here instead of preparing for tomorrow's meeting?"

Jiraiya responded, "I'm looking for a jutsu for my disciple, Minato. I didn't protect him well on the battlefield; consider it compensation."

After hearing this, the Third Hokage said, "Go pick one from the Scroll of Seals yourself."

Jiraiya accepted the task, "Then I shall obey." As he flipped through the Scroll of Seals, he muttered, "This won't do, Minato is too young for it; Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu is even less suitable—though he has ample chakra, this technique would still be too demanding. I remember the kid likes speed- based jutsu."

Jiraiya asked the Third Hokage, "Old man, got any speed-based jutsus? There's too many to go through."

The Third Hokage suggested, "There's the Flying Thunder God Technique. It has a high learning threshold and requires mastery of sealing jutsus. Can the kid handle it?"

Jiraiya, upon finding the Flying Thunder God Technique, noted down the learning method and said, "I believe in him. Don't forget, he's been with Kushina Uzumaki. He can just ask her about sealing techniques."

The Third Hokage nodded, "Yes, haha, I forget things in my old age."

Jiraiya pocketed the scroll and asked, "What do you think about Tsunade's proposal?"

The Third Hokage expressed doubts, "It's unlikely during wartime. We don't have the resources to train medical ninjas, and there aren't many in the village with medical talents, nor can we afford to have them all on the battlefield."

Jiraiya insisted, "But having a medical ninja in each squad could greatly increase survival rates. Tsunade's brother almost died; if not for Gu Xingxi's intervention, he might have been lost."

The Third Hokage was shocked, "Gu Xingxi knows medical ninjutsu?" Jiraiya explained, "He said he was taught by the deity Bai Qian."

Seizing the moment to change the subject, the Third Hokage said, "Jiraiya, I'm planning to reassign Gu Xingxi from the front lines."

Jiraiya, astonished, questioned, "Old man, have you lost your mind? You know how powerful Gu Xingxi is—his wide-range ninjutsu attacks, that formidable Moon Blade, and how he alone can contend with Hanzo. You want to pull him from the front lines? Do you realize with him at the Hidden Rain Village, the war could end sooner?"

The Third Hokage explained, "I know, but the Hidden Sand Village wants him dead at every turn. Bringing him back to the village to serve as a lead Jonin is also a form of protection."

Jiraiya asked, "Is this Danzo's idea? Because he's an Uchiha, so you fear his power, even if he serves the village?"

The Third Hokage, slamming the table, retorted, "Enough, Jiraiya. I'm just trying to protect him."

Jiraiya, understanding the Third Hokage's intentions yet disappointed, said, "Whether you truly want to protect him, you know best." With that, he left to find materials.

The Third Hokage, puffing on his pipe, comforted himself, "It's all for the village, all for the village, for the will of my teacher."
