Chapter 6: 6. Zetsu on work
Minato finally returned home after a day of work. from past few day he is handling after math of nine tail attack that he only manage to complate today. 'At list now I can relax!'
But the sight that greeted him was far from relaxing.
"Minato!" Jiraiya's booming voice rang out the moment he stepped through the door. The tall, white-haired man stood in the middle of the living room, holding Naruto like a prize, grinning ear to ear. "Look at this kid! He's got your hair, He's going to be a hit with the ladies when he grows up."
"Jiraiya-sensei put him down," Minato groaned, setting his Hokage hat on a nearby table. "He's not a trophy."
Naruto let out a loud wail in response, waving his tiny fists in protest. Kushina appeared from the kitchen, "Jiraiya! Stop shaking my baby like he's a bag of rice!"
Jiraiya froze, chuckling nervously as he set Naruto back in his crib. "He's fine!"
"My foot!" Kushina shouted,
"Kushina, dinner smells amazing. Jiraiya-sensei, why don't you sit down and try not to cause any more trouble?" Minato said, stepping between them.
"If you insist! I've been starving all day." Jiraiya said. as three of them moved towerd dinning table, however as Kushina brought out steaming dishes of rice, grilled fish, and her signature miso soup, the door suddenly burst open!
"KUSHINA!"
All three adults turned in surprise as Tsunade stormed in, her face pale and frantic. "You're alive!" she exclaimed, practically knocking Kushina over with a hug.
"Of course, I'm alive!" Kushina yelped, struggling under the force of Tsunade's bear hug. "What's gotten into you?"
"I heard about the Nine-Tails escaping!" Tsunade said, pulling back and glaring at Kushina. "I thought you were dead! Why didn't anyone tell me you were okay?!"
Jiraiya smirked. "Because Minato's terrible at sending updates."
Minato rolled his eyes. "You were busy gambling, Tsunade-sama. I doubt you would've heard anything until today, anyway."
Tsunade shot him a look before turning back to Kushina. "What happened? How did you survive? And why is that monster still sealed inside you?"
Kushina sighed, setting a hand on Tsunade's shoulder to guide her to the table. "Sit down. It's a long story, and you're not going to believe half of it." Kushina began to explain what happened,
"Masked guy?" Tsunade frowned.
Minato leaned forward. "Someone with incredible power—enough to control the Nine-Tails. But the funny part? That didn't last long."
Jiraiya snorted. "Funny isn't the word I'd use. The Nine-Tails was pissed."
"That's an understatement," Kushina said, crossing her arms. "When the beast fell, the Genjutsu broke. and Minato acted swiftly and restricted nine tail in adamantium sealing chains, then he sealed nine tail back inside me. '"
Tsunade's jaw dropped.
"Yep," Kushina said with a satisfied grin.
"It was a strategic decision," Minato added, "With Kushina's chakra, she's the best host to keep it contained."
"And now," Jiraiya said, waving his chopsticks dramatically, "they're one big, happy family!"
A deep, rumbling voice suddenly echoed through the room. "Happy isn't the right word."
Tsunade froze, her eyes darting to Kushina. "Was the...?"
Kushina smirked, tapping her stomach. "Yep. Say hi, Nine Tail."
"Hello, you insufferable humans," Nine Tail said grumpily, his voice laced with annoyance.
Tsunade blinked, utterly speechless. Jiraiya, on the other hand, burst into laughter. "I love this fox!"
"Don't push your luck, old man," Kurama growled.
Minato chuckled. "He's not so bad once you get to know him. We've even gotten used to him complaining about everything."
"I wouldn't complain if you humans didn't make everything so difficult," Kurama snapped.
"Jokes aside, we can't ignore what happened. That masked man—whoever he is—wasn't just after the Nine-Tails. He wanted to destroy Konoha, and he was willing to use any means necessary." Minato said.
Tsunade frowned. "Do you have any idea who he might be?"
Minato shook his head. "Not yet. But there was something... familiar about him. The way he moved, the way he fought—it felt like I'd seen it before."
...
Hidden Rock, two days after the tail incident,
"I'm telling you," one of the men said, swirling his cup of sake, "The Fourth Hokage is dead. Everyone in the Leaf is pretending everything's fine, but their so-called 'Yellow Flash' is gone."
The other man, his face partially obscured by his hood, leaned in conspiratorially. "And his wife too. She was the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails, wasn't she? They lost her, the Fourth, and their precious fox in one night."
At a nearby table, a group of Hidden Rock shinobi stiffened at the conversation, their ears perking up.
They exchanged glances, their interest piqued.
"You sure about this?" one of them muttered under his breath to his comrade.
"It makes sense," another replied. "I mean, we haven't seen or heard anything from the Yellow Flash since that night. If he were alive, he'd have made some kind of move by now."
The first man at the corner table sighed dramatically, shaking his head. "Poor Leaf Village, pretending to be strong. But mark my words, it's only a matter of time before they crumble."
The Hidden Rock shinobi didn't wait to hear more. One of them stood abruptly, signaling to the others. "Let's report this to the Tsuchikage. If the Fourth Hokage is dead, it's an opportunity we can't ignore."
Hidden Mist, At the same time,
The vendor, as he handed a skewer to a young woman, leaned forward slightly, his voice low but loud enough to carry. "You hear about the Leaf Village?"
She raised an eyebrow. "What about it?"
The vendor smirked, lowering his voice further. "The Fourth Hokage is dead. They're trying to keep it quiet, but everyone knows. They lost him and his wife during that Nine-Tails attack."
A man standing nearby, another customer waiting for his food, frowned. "The Fourth Hokage? Dead? That doesn't seem possible."
The vendor shrugged, handing him his order. "Believe what you want, but I hear they're struggling to keep order. The Leaf might act strong, but they're vulnerable now."
The murmurs began to spread among the customers, whispers rippling through the crowd like waves. A Hidden Mist shinobi, who had been standing near the stall, narrowed his eyes as he listened. He turned and strode away, his mind already on the report he would deliver to the Mizukage.
Hidden Cloud – Raikage's Office,
The Raikage sat at his desk, the wood creaking slightly under his imposing frame. A stack of reports lay before him, each one more troubling than the last. He picked up the latest report from one of his spies in the Hidden Leaf, his sharp eyes scanning the words.
"Fourth Hokage and his wife perished in the Nine-Tails incident," he read aloud, his deep voice resonating in the quiet office. "Leaf Village maintaining a facade of strength but internally weakened."
His assistant, a tall and composed shinobi, stood nearby. "Sir, this aligns with the other reports we've received. If true, the Leaf Village has suffered a major blow."
The Raikage leaned back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. "If the Fourth Hokage is dead, Konoha's greatest deterrent is gone. This could be the opportunity we've been waiting for."
He tapped his fingers on the desk, his mind racing. Finally, he looked up at his assistant. "Prepare a message. I want invitations sent to the Mizukage, the Tsuchikage, and the Kazekage. We need to discuss the future of the Five Great Nations—and the Leaf Village."
The assistant bowed. "Right away, sir."
As the sun set on the various hidden villages, the whispers and rumors continued to spread, In the shadows, Obito watched the chaos begin to unfold, with Zetsu beside him, still in disguise of Cloud Spay, a small, satisfied smile appeared on Obito's face.
