Chapter 136: Chapter 137: The World Created by the Sage of Six Paths Is Truly Flawed!
Chapter 137: The World Created by the Sage of Six Paths Is Truly Flawed!
The storm of kunai itself posed little threat; without being thrown by a shinobi, they lacked the force to be lethal.
But being trapped in such a battlefield was the greatest disadvantage.
After initially using their respective elemental techniques to destroy a portion of the Flying Thunder God kunai, Mu and Hozuki Gengetsu quickly found themselves overwhelmed.
Ninjutsu requiring hand seals or preparation was rendered obsolete. Even the slightest pause to perform a technique left them exposed.
Only ninjutsu requiring no hand signs and pure taijutsu could be used effectively.
Hyuga Fuji appeared around them at will, exploiting every gap in their defenses. Whenever Mu tried to retreat toward an area with fewer kunai, Fuji would teleport beside him, using a quick pull and push motion to unbalance him. Mu had no choice but to raise his other arm to block, only to be sent flying by a spinning kick moments later.
Meanwhile, Hozuki Gengetsu's Water Iron Cannon hit nothing but a fleeting afterimage. Before he could recover, Fuji was already at his side, dislocating his arm with a single strike.
Thankfully, their Edo Tensei bodies allowed for swift recovery, so the damage wasn't permanent.
However, trying to trade injuries with Fuji in a battle of attrition was a laughable notion. Neither Mu nor Gengetsu could even graze him!
From a distance, Tobirama Senju observed the chaotic battle unfolding before him, his expression grim.
The two former Kage had effectively become Fuji's punching bags. Despite their status as some of history's strongest shinobi, they were utterly dominated.
Tobirama, now lacking his Edo Tensei body, knew he couldn't afford to join the fray. The damage Mu and Gengetsu were enduring would have already killed him ten times over.
The best he could do now was analyze the situation and search for a weakness in Fuji's seemingly impenetrable strategy.
Originally, the most dangerous moment was when the kunai rained down, creating thousands of potential attack vectors for Fuji.
But now, even though the portal had vanished and the number of kunai was finite, Fuji controlled the battlefield with terrifying efficiency.
Each time he raised his hand, the kunai that had already fallen would lift back into the air, creating a dense, ever-shifting field of Flying Thunder God markers.
It resembled Magnet Release, or perhaps some form of gravity manipulation, the exact opposite of the force Fuji had used earlier to blow away Kinkaku and Ginkaku.
With the entire area flooded with kunai, Fuji could teleport to any position instantly, creating an environment where he was invincible.
Sneak attacks were futile; the Byakugan's omnidirectional vision made surprise impossible.
This wasn't a fight—it was an execution.
No matter how much Mu and Gengetsu tried to adapt, they were outmaneuvered at every turn. Mu's proud Dust Release required too much time to charge, leaving him vulnerable. Even his stealth techniques were useless against the Byakugan.
Gengetsu's Steaming Danger Tyranny managed to complete its setup, but the clone couldn't even get close to Fuji. Either it was teleported away via Flying Thunder God, or an invisible force sent it flying before it could detonate.
The result was the same—no damage to Fuji.
Both Kage continued to take hit after hit, their counterattacks yielding no results.
Watching the one-sided battle, Tobirama came to a chilling conclusion.
Fuji's mastery of the Flying Thunder God had surpassed both him and the Fourth Hokage.
This wasn't a battle that could be won.
In hindsight, Tobirama realized sealing Fuji's Flying Thunder God technique earlier had been the best decision. Not to prevent Fuji from escaping, but because his use of the technique had evolved into something unrecognizable.
With real-time tracking enabled by the Byakugan, Fuji could maintain awareness of every kunai's position. This allowed him to use the Flying Thunder God in ways Tobirama and Minato couldn't have dreamed of.
On the other hand, Mu and Gengetsu couldn't keep track of the kunai. Without precise awareness of their enemy's position, they lost any chance to control the fight.
From the beginning, Fuji had been playing a different game.
Tobirama's eyes narrowed as he saw Fuji summon glowing blue chakra lions around his fists. With a single strike, Fuji shattered Mu's torso, sending shards of Edo Tensei dust flying.
"Should I summon Kagami?" Tobirama thought hesitantly.
He had prepared additional reinforcements earlier, including Uchiha Kagami, whose records Tobirama still had access to.
But watching the ongoing massacre, Tobirama doubted it would make any difference.
In battle, victory often came down to the smallest margins. The openings Mu and Gengetsu left—if not for their Edo Tensei bodies—would have already resulted in their deaths.
Fuji wasn't even fighting seriously. If he had been sealing them instead of simply inflicting damage, the fight would have ended long ago.
And they all knew it.
"Do you intend to keep going?" Fuji said calmly, his orange eyeshadow marking the activation of Sage Mode.
Tobirama immediately noticed the change and sighed, his internal debate ending.
Sage Mode?
There was no point in prolonging this any further.
Gengetsu, who had retracted his clone, glanced at the still-recovering Mu and clicked his tongue in frustration. "You could've ended this with a sealing technique ages ago. What's the point of this farce?"
"This display was for your benefit," Fuji said, his gaze piercing through the Kage. "When your plans fail, you need time to come to terms with reality. I'm merely giving you that time."
Fuji's eyes drifted downward toward the depths of the dimension they were in. A faint smile appeared on his lips.
"Besides," he continued, "I wanted to wait for others to make their decisions."
Mu frowned, puzzled. "What decisions? With your strength, do you really need us?"
"Strength comes in many forms," Fuji replied. "Even you must understand the value of ingenuity, Second Tsuchikage. Your contributions to this world were never measured by brute force alone."
Before Mu could respond, a golden light erupted from the depths of the dimension, rushing toward them with a deafening roar.
The immense chakra pressure triggered an instinctive alarm in their minds, sending shivers down their spines.
But before they could react, Fuji raised his hand. A golden sphere formed in his palm and collided with the incoming attack, detonating in a blinding explosion.
The resulting shockwave swept across the battlefield, disintegrating the memory-filled bubbles and erasing the remaining Edo Tensei bodies trapped within.
As the wind tore at Fuji's robes, he smiled faintly, his expression calm amidst the chaos.
"What a bold welcome," he murmured. "So, the Otsutsuki clan finally reveals itself."
Far away, on the moon, a white-haired elder observed the scene through the Tenseigan. His face darkened as he watched Fuji emerge unscathed from the clash.
"Hmph. The Hyuga dared to create a colossal Tenseigan and now openly provoke us… Insolent!"
The elder's voice was filled with venom.
With the Gedo Statue stolen and now even the Hyuga creating their own Tenseigan, he could no longer deny the truth.
"The world the Sage of Six Paths created was flawed. It must be destroyed."
However, with the colossal Tenseigan now stationed on Earth, his plan to obliterate the planet using the moon was no longer feasible.
He would need to reconsider.
