Chapter 182: Discharged
Chapter 181: Discharged
"The recovery is very good; the
bones have fully healed. Don't mess around like this next time," Yuriko
said to Kiba after removing the plaster and conducting an inspection. She was
very serious, almost like a warning.
Kiba nodded seriously. "Yes,
Sister Yuriko."
Yuriko sighed. "Do you really
understand what 'don't mess around' means?"
"Of course," Kiba nodded
repeatedly.
This kid
doesn't listen at all...
Yuriko thought, looking at Kiba's
slightly absent-minded appearance. She could only say helplessly, "Go and
complete the discharge procedures."
"Thank you, Sister
Yuriko!" Kiba showed joy, thanked her, and left her consultation room.
What followed was a series of
formalities.
Half an hour later, Kiba appeared at
the door of Konoha Hospital and let out a long breath.
Finally
out!
Kiba looked at the sky, which was
overcast and seemed ready to rain. The gloomy sky did not affect his good mood.
He was finally free from the bland, tasteless hospital meals!
Kiba now ranked hospitalization as
the third most terrible thing.
Although in a good mood, he felt no
joy on his face. He clenched his fist lightly.
My body
feels a bit rusty! After so many days in the hospital without exercise, I feel
sluggish and weak.
I can't
conclude my body is fully healed. Trying the Injury Mode now isn't wise. The
destructive power might be too much for a body just recovered from serious
injury. It still takes a while to fully recover.
Surprisingly,
this kind of injury, with over a hundred fractures, recovered in just over half
a month after one operation.
In the
original series, Tsunade performed surgery on Lee, and he quickly went to
support Naruto in chasing Sasuke. My injury was serious, and it took half a
month to recover.
As Kiba was thinking, a few drops of
water hit his face. Within seconds, the rain poured down, soaking his clothes
instantly. Helpless, he retreated to Konoha Hospital, watching the pouring rain
while twisting his wet clothes.
"I didn't bring an
umbrella," said a voice from behind.
Kiba turned to see Hirohiko, who was
looking at the rain with a poker face.
"Didn't you go back
first?" Kiba asked, surprised. That morning, Hirohiko had said he had
something to do and went back first.
"It was resolved in
advance," Hirohiko said.
Apparently, Hirohiko had finished
his business early and came to the hospital to see Kiba. They might have missed
each other when Kiba went through the discharge procedures, and Hirohiko rushed
back, learning from Yuriko that Kiba had left.
"Hirohiko, I've been studying
medical knowledge recently. I want to prepare some medicines. I need herbs and
some time to recover. Can you help me gather herbs during this time?" Kiba
clenched his fist.
"Herbs?"
The surprised voice wasn't
Hirohiko's but a familiar female voice like a silver bell.
Before the words fell, both turned
to see Yukina standing there. She wore a white kimono, revealing her white
arms. Her skirt reached one-third of her thighs, with slightly longer
underpants. Black leggings and fishnet stockings wrapped her white, tender
thighs, and she wore clogs on her nude-like feet.
Her slightly haggard face couldn't
hide her delicate and pretty features. She held two umbrellas, one black and
one white.
"Yukina... how are you?"
Kiba glanced at Hirohiko.
Hirohiko shook his head repeatedly.
Kiba asked how Yukina knew he was
discharged today. Hirohiko indicated he hadn't told her.
"Today, I came to see
you," Yukina paused, slightly turning her head away, avoiding Kiba's gaze.
"By the way, thank you for your gift."
"Gift?" Kiba was startled,
remembering asking Hirohiko to send gifts to Yukina, saying they were from
both.
"Hmm..." Yukina nodded,
her face turned slightly away. "I like the sunflower you sent me very
much."
Sunflower?
Kiba blinked and looked at Hirohiko.
Who sends
sunflowers to a patient?
Hirohiko sneaked a glance at Kiba,
his eyes full of expressions saying, "I can only help you this far."
Kiba saw Hirohiko's gaze but didn't
understand its meaning.
Is this
kid getting back at me over money?
"Thank you, Hirohiko, the lily
you gave is also very good," Yukina added, sensing something was wrong.
Kiba's eyes narrowed slightly.
It really
is revenge! Giving yourself a lily, and me a sunflower...
Seeing Kiba's gaze, Hirohiko turned
his head slightly and sighed, even wanting to touch his forehead.
Feeling
guilty!
Kiba thought, seeing Hirohiko's
actions.
"Yukina, can you lend me an
umbrella first? I suddenly remembered something urgent," Hirohiko said to
Yukina.
Yukina was taken aback, then handed
the black umbrella, saying, "Yes."
She had brought two umbrellas today,
having been told by her father to bring one as it might rain. She thought Kiba
might need one when discharged, so she brought two. She hadn't been told by
Hirohiko about Kiba's discharge, but as a direct descendant of the Hyuga
family, she had people serving her, who informed her of Kiba's discharge.
Although the umbrella was prepared
for Kiba, Yukina wouldn't be stingy with Hirohiko, a friend in need.
"Thank you!" Hirohiko took
the umbrella, opened it, turned to face the rain, and said, "I'll go
first."
"Be careful on the road,"
Kiba said with a faint smile.
"Be careful on the road,"
Yukina waved.
Then Hirohiko rushed into the rain,
disappearing with the black umbrella.
The back figure had the feeling of
"my help can only go so far," a bit chic.
Sure
enough, they all run away with a guilty conscience!
Kiba felt Hirohiko was guilty.
Yukina looked at the white umbrella
in her hand, her expressionless face changing slightly.
She inhaled slightly, handed the
umbrella to Kiba, and said, "Here you are."
Kiba was still slandering Hirohiko
but looked at the white umbrella Yukina handed over, thinking of something.
No wonder
he ran so fast, knowing there were only two umbrellas!
"What about you?" Kiba
asked.
"I'm fine. You just got out of
the hospital. If you catch a cold, it'll be bad," Yukina seemed startled
and said.
"You're also recovering from a
serious injury. You can't get wet," Kiba shook his head.
Hearing this, Yukina slightly
lowered her head, looking embarrassed.
Kiba looked at her, then at the rain
outside, and suddenly smiled. "Let's share the umbrella. We'll buy another
later."
"Huh? Together?" Yukina
was startled, looking up at Kiba, who was watching the rain with a slight
smile.
Perhaps it was an illusion, but
Yukina seemed to see a phantom of a handsome young man looking exactly like
Kiba, doing the same movements, standing behind Kiba, and disappearing in a
flash.
"The rain won't stop soon. I
don't know how long it will take," Kiba said, looking at the rain.
But in his heart, he thought:
I must
start physical rehabilitation soon to ensure the Injury Mode is effective when
the plan is implemented.
A blush flashed across Yukina's
face, then she nodded lightly, "Well, that's fine."
Then, a white umbrella and two small
figures walked into the rain.
Raindrops slapped the paper
umbrella, creating a tick-tock sound.
The two gradually drifted away,
eventually disappearing in the rain and fog.
