Naruto: The Tale of an Otsutsuki

Three days had passed since the chaotic conclusion of the Chunin Exam. Konoha was bustling with activity as the villagers worked to rebuild their homes and livelihoods. Amid the echoes of construction and the chatter of resilient citizens, the village was slowly regaining its vitality.

On the outskirts of the village, at a quiet training ground, Kirito stood with a solemn expression. Before him was a scroll etched with intricate patterns for summoning.

"Elemental Gate!" he announced, slamming his palm onto the scroll.

A low hum filled the air as black lines on the scroll twisted and coiled into a circular portal. Moments later, water began to flow from the portal, trickling and then streaming steadily.

Simultaneously, far away in a clear stream, a boulder adorned with a matching summoning seal began to bubble. The surrounding water swirled into a vortex and disappeared toward the stone, its flow matching the rhythm of the water pouring from Kirito's scroll.

[It worked,] Kirito thought with satisfaction, watching the seamless transfer of water.

This was his newly developed ninjutsu, the "Elemental Gate." Based on the principles of Yomotsu Hirasaka and combined with summoning techniques, the jutsu allowed for the transfer of elemental substances—like water—between two pre-set locations.

Unlike traditional summoning techniques, which required sealing and unsealing, the Elemental Gate functioned like a "pipe," connecting two points. The size of the portal and the volume of elements transferred depended on the chakra poured into it.

[This will make an excellent gift,] Kirito mused. He had created this jutsu specifically for TenTen, hoping to enhance her versatility and make up for her limited access to elemental ninjutsu.

Satisfied with his progress, Kirito turned his attention to another experiment. He slammed his palm on the ground, and with a low rumble, a massive tree erupted from the earth, its branches reaching skyward.

[So this is Wood Release,] Kirito thought, gazing at the towering tree. Having observed Hashirama's Wood Release during the battle on the Hokage's platform, Kirito had quickly grasped its principles. His ability to synthesize and utilize new chakra natures made learning the technique almost effortless.

[This feels even more natural than Ice Release,] he noted, marveling at the ease with which he manipulated the wood.

After tidying up the training ground, Kirito decided it was time to find TenTen. Thanks to the village's rebuilding efforts, most ninjas were busy aiding with construction, leaving little time for missions. Knowing TenTen's habits, Kirito headed toward the ninja supply shops.

After a brief search, he found her in a quiet shop tucked away in a side street. She was engrossed in examining a kunai, her eyes alight with fascination.

"Any new styles?" Kirito asked, pushing open the door.

"Huh?" TenTen turned, her face lighting up when she saw him. She held up the kunai in her hand and shook her head. "Nope, just the usual ones. Nothing special."

"Special kunai are usually custom-made," Kirito remarked, glancing around at the shelves of shuriken and kunai. "These are mostly standard issue."

"But sometimes you find gems," TenTen said, picking up a kunai with a unique design.

Kirito chuckled, recalling her passion for collecting kunai. TenTen had once described the beauty of kunai to him with shining eyes, likening their simple elegance and functionality to works of art.

While her fascination with kunai seemed eccentric to some, Kirito understood the joy of collecting and admiring one's favorite items. TenTen's enthusiasm reminded him of hobbyists and collectors in his past life.

"Are you free this afternoon?" Kirito asked casually.

"Yeah, why?" TenTen replied, placing the kunai back on the shelf.

"I want to teach you something new."

Her eyes widened with excitement. "Really? What is it?"

Kirito explained the concept of the "Elemental Gate" to her. As he described its functionality and potential, TenTen's excitement grew.

"That's incredible!" she exclaimed. "This technique is perfect for me. Kirito, where did you even learn something like this?"

Kirito scratched his head, slightly embarrassed. "I... kind of created it. After the Chunin Exam, I thought you might like something to expand your arsenal."

"Wow," TenTen said, her voice filled with admiration. "You created a whole new jutsu? That's amazing!"

Kirito shrugged. "I figured you'd appreciate it. At first, I thought about getting you a kunai, but I didn't think my taste could match yours. This seemed more useful."

TenTen smiled warmly. "Anything from you would make me happy, but this... this is incredible. Thank you so much!"

Kirito waved off her gratitude. "If it helps you, that's enough for me."

The two left the shop together, TenTen brimming with excitement for her new technique.

"Let's grab a quick bite," Kirito suggested. "Then I'll show you how to use it at the training ground."

TenTen nodded eagerly. "Sounds like a plan!"

As they walked through the bustling streets of Konoha, the atmosphere was filled with hope. Despite the recent chaos, the village's resilience shone through, and Kirito couldn't help but feel optimistic about what lay ahead.
