Naruto: You Call This A Medical Ninja?

Chapter 426: Chapter 426: 9-7, Reiki’s Battle Training

"Why do I feel that the tailed beast in my body has developed a better relationship with me?" asked a surprised Roshi.

"I feel the same way. It's as if the tailed beast's hostility has vanished," he added, reflecting on his newfound harmony with the Fourth-Tailed Sun Wukong.

Unlike the strong bond between Killer Bee and the Eight-Tails, most jinchūriki struggle to coexist peacefully with their tailed beasts. Many beasts resist fiercely, their volatile natures clashing with their human hosts. Especially those like Sun Wukong, known for their fiery temper. Harmony was usually a distant dream, and maintaining even a fragile balance seemed like a miracle.

However, after Reiki's intervention, the tailed beasts seemed notably calmer. This transformation was striking, though it almost felt as if they had undergone a profound change—like the source of their rage had been neutralized.

"Boy!" Sun Wukong's booming voice snapped Reiki back to reality as he stood respectfully before the mighty tailed beast.

"I've already removed that seal. Is there anything else you need?" Sun Wukong asked.

Reiki, confused by the sudden question, simply stared at the four-tailed beast. "Why?" Sun Wukong's voice rumbled again, pressing for an answer.

"Why what?" Reiki asked, puzzled.

Before Reiki could fully comprehend what was happening, Sun Wukong began transferring his original chakra to him. Such a gesture was extraordinary—earning a tailed beast's recognition and their original chakra was no small feat. For Sun Wukong to do this voluntarily, especially someone as temperamental as him, was unprecedented.

"Didn't you come to extract the source of my chakra to erase that cursed seal within me?" Sun Wukong asked.

Reiki hesitated. "No, I only wanted to remove the harmful seal from your body. Besides, I have another reason: I am a medical ninja. It's my duty to heal, no matter who or what is suffering," he said with a smile.

Sun Wukong paused before bursting into laughter. "A medical ninja? Hahaha… fascinating!"

The next moment, Reiki's consciousness returned to his body. Roshi, noticing Reiki open his eyes and withdraw his hands, asked, "Is the treatment complete?"

"Yes, it's finished. If you or your tailed beast feel unwell in the future, come find me," Reiki said casually before waving and leaving the room.

Roshi watched as Reiki walked away, muttering to himself, "This kid is something else."

Han, another jinchūriki present, stood frozen. "He has removed all the hidden dangers in our bodies. These tailed beasts are not just monsters—they're our partners," he said before following Reiki's path, leaving Roshi in stunned silence.

Reiki returned to his quarters, physically and mentally drained from the day's events. Treating the tailed beasts and handling the Tenseigan earlier had taken its toll. Lying on his bed, Reiki sank his consciousness inward, where the tailed beasts resided.

Within his mindscape stood Shukaku, Isobu, Sun Wukong, Kokuō, Chōmei, Gyūki, and Kurama. Seven out of nine tailed beasts now inhabited Reiki's body. Only Matatabi and Saiken remained apart.

"Why are you all here? Don't tell me you see me as some kind of container?" Reiki asked, scratching his head awkwardly.

Kurama, the most dominant among them, spoke up. "We sensed something unusual about you—an energy, a presence. We decided to stay because we believe you might lead us to a different destiny."

The other tailed beasts nodded in agreement.

Reiki sighed. "Alright, but if you're staying here, we need some ground rules."

Over the next few days, Reiki shifted his focus from medical duties to combat training. Seeking out experienced ninjas, he engaged in one-on-one battles, refining his skills.

Initially, Reiki sparred with Konoha ninjas, but soon he aimed higher, targeting the elite shadow guards of other villages. Today, his opponent was none other than the Mizukage of Kirigakure, Yagura Karatachi.

Yagura smiled, lifting his weapon. "I've heard about your fighting style, Reiki. You engage your opponents with precision, and then heal them after the battle. It's quite unconventional, even for a medical ninja."

"That's about right, Mizukage-sama," Reiki replied with a grin.

Weapons clashed as their battle commenced. The unique styles of both fighters made for an electrifying confrontation.

Watching from afar, Jiraiya and Tsunade observed Reiki with interest.

"Tsunade, your disciple has improved rapidly. He's showing incredible growth," Jiraiya remarked.

Tsunade nodded. "He's definitely grown stronger, but Jiraiya… do you think he's orchestrating all of this?"

"Perhaps," Jiraiya said thoughtfully. "Or maybe it's not a coincidence at all…"

Their conversation was interrupted as Orochimaru appeared beside them, watching Reiki's battle with a peculiar expression.
