The first step Reiki needed to take was treating Hashirama's internal organs.

Since Murasame was embedded in the abdomen, Reiki began with the spleen and stomach.

With Hashirama's chakra no longer stimulating them, the Wood Release cells were quickly suppressed.

However, the curse power had also inflicted damage on his internal organs.

Reiki infused his chakra directly into Hashirama's body.

With both hands at work, Hashirama's spleen and stomach were soon healed and returned to normal condition.

The chakra changes slowed the curse power's invasion, allowing the Wood Release cells to regenerate and resist the curse.

At the same time, the massive trees created by the Wood Release began to shrink and wither.

A tense tug-of-war had begun...

In the Hokage's Office

"Lord Hokage, Uchiha Fugaku reports that all the enemy ninjas have been eliminated.

Additionally, members of the special training team have been rescued. Those who were killed were also retrieved and brought back to the special training camp."

"However, Uchiha Madara is missing."

The ninjas from the Intelligence Department relayed the information to Namikaze Minato.

"Madara-sama is missing?"

Hashirama laughed heartily, his demeanor as carefree as ever.

Tsunade reached out and pinched Hashirama's waist.

Why had she never realized her grandfather was such a handful?

"You're already so old—can't you take things more seriously?"

"Ahem… Well, where is Madara, Fourth Hokage?"

Hashirama coughed lightly and shifted the subject.

He knew it was Uchiha Madara who had arranged for Reiki to treat him.

This meant Madara had likely returned to the village—an encouraging thought for Hashirama.

"He went to find the leader of the Kara Organization and is currently missing," Minato replied. Though he wasn't sure of all the details, he shared what he knew.

If anyone could locate Uchiha Madara, it might be Hashirama.

"Kara leader?!"

Hashirama looked puzzled.

What kind of organization required Madara to personally intervene?

And for several days, no less—when Madara captured the Nine-Tails, it took him only a few days!

"The Kara Organization is..."

Tsunade stepped forward to explain the Kara Organization to her grandfather.

After hearing her account, Hashirama looked thoughtful.

"Alright, let me handle this. I'll bring him back."

Hashirama patted his chest confidently.

Years ago, Uchiha Madara had bitten him during battle, leaving a unique chakra imprint. Using his Wood Release's sensory abilities, Hashirama was confident he could find Madara.

With that, Senju Hashirama disappeared from the office.

"The First Hokage… just left like that?!"

Namikaze Minato turned to Tsunade, still processing what had just happened.

"I'm going to check on Reiki. I'll report back to you later."

Tsunade turned and left, leaving Minato alone in the office.

The legendary God of Shinobi had been resurrected and immediately set off to find Uchiha Madara.

Now, what were they supposed to do about the situation here?

Hatake Sakumo's voice snapped Minato out of his thoughts.

"This isn't the time to overthink things," Sakumo advised. "Dwelling on it will only cause unnecessary confusion."

"You're right, Captain Sakumo."

"Begin preparations to launch the special training camp. Organize the selected members and send them to the camp."

Minato swiftly issued orders.

If the situation was beyond his control, he would focus on what he could handle.

After all, the enemies they might face in the future could be far more formidable than any they'd encountered before.

"Understood. Also, Hokage-sama, Lord Orochimaru hasn't shown himself in a while. It may be worth checking on him."

With that, Hatake Sakumo vanished.

Konoha had finalized the list of special training participants. Knowing the opportunities the camp provided, every family had vied to send their young members.

Of course, not all could be accepted. After rigorous selection, a final roster was decided.

Among those selected were Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Obito, Uchiha Shisui, Namikaze Nozuki, and others—18 in total, divided into six teams.
