Naruto:Good and Evil

Chapter 6: 6

Early the next morning, Kenji Uzumaki hurried to Sasuke Uchiha's house to practice sword techniques together. Itachi Uchiha opened the door, and upon seeing Kenji, he smiled and said, "Kenji, did you come to see Sasuke so early for training?" Kenji replied politely, "Yes, Itachi, I promised Sasuke yesterday that I would come to practice with him."

Itachi nodded with a smile and called into the house, "Sasuke, Kenji is here for you." "Okay, coming!" Sasuke's voice echoed from within. Sasuke quickly emerged from the house, noticeably a bit nervous, but upon reaching Kenji, he maintained a calm demeanor: "Let's go." He walked out of the house with a cool stride, not even acknowledging Itachi as he passed.

With a helpless shrug, Kenji turned back to Itachi and said, "We're off, see you later, Itachi." Itachi smiled and replied, "Take care of Sasuke for me." Kenji responded, "I will, Itachi. Sasuke, wait up!" Itachi watched them walk away, smiling.

Itachi knew that Sasuke rarely interacted with others besides him. Suddenly, having a friend was both nerve-wracking and exciting for Sasuke, so Itachi didn't blame his brother for any awkwardness. Seeing Sasuke happy was all that mattered.

After Kenji and Sasuke reached the woods, they began practicing their sword techniques.

Sasuke leaped onto a branch, launching three shurikens from different angles. Kenji responded by jumping from the tree, altering his movements mid-air, and releasing six shurikens simultaneously. The sound of them striking their targets filled the air, each hitting the bullseye.

Sasuke turned to Kenji with a proud look, as if to say, "Look at me."

Kenji played along, "Wow, Sasuke, your shuriken skills are impressive." Sasuke, hearing Kenji's praise, lifted his head proudly.

Kenji took out his own shuriken and said, "I can't be outdone." He jumped high, flipping in the air as he rapidly released his shurikens. Upon landing, the sound of shurikens striking targets echoed, all bullseyes. Sasuke, a bit surprised, said, "I didn't expect you could do that. I underestimated you. Let's continue." Sasuke, ever competitive, was determined to outdo Kenji.

Kenji, with his own competitive spirit, thought, "I've lived through two lifetimes. I can't lose to a 5-year-old, even if he is a genius. Losing to a kid would be humiliating."

The two of them practiced in the forest for a long time before collapsing onto the grass to rest. Sasuke said, "I didn't expect you to be so skilled." Kenji replied, "You're the real genius." Sasuke smiled happily and said, "Don't flatter me." He soon fell asleep.

Watching Sasuke sleep, Kenji mused, "He's a terrifying kid, so strong at 5. I'm ashamed as the reincarnation of Indra. Though I'm only 5, my experiences and ambitions surpass his twofold. If I could unleash my bloodline limit, I'd be on par with a mid-level Jonin."

After resting his eyes, Kenji suggested, "Sasuke, let's have a sparring match." Sasuke, excited, replied, "Sure, as long as you're not afraid of getting hurt." Kenji retorted arrogantly, "We'll see who gets hurt, brat."

He took out a shuriken, throwing it at Sasuke. Sasuke leaped into a tree, returning the throw with several shurikens. Kenji dodged, saying, "Sneaky, aren't you, kid?"

Kenji deflected Sasuke's shurikens with his kunai. The two engaged in a close-range battle, exchanging blows. Sasuke, realizing he wasn't gaining an advantage, leaped back, creating space between them. Kenji moved to follow but saw Sasuke preparing a jutsu.

Sasuke quickly formed a series of hand signs, bringing his hand to his mouth, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

A huge fireball flew towards Kenji. Startled by Sasuke's proficiency, Kenji responded swiftly, forming hand signs and fanning his right hand, "Wind Style: Great Breakthrough." The wind jutsu met the fireball in mid-air, neutralizing it.

Sasuke hadn't expected his fireball to be countered. While he was momentarily caught off guard, Kenji threw a kunai at him. Sasuke, distracted, was grazed on the arm by the kunai.

Kenji rushed over, concerned, "Sasuke, are you okay?" He took Sasuke's arm and quickly retrieved cotton, ointment, and bandages from his ninja pouch.

He cleaned the wound with the cotton, applied ointment, and wrapped it with a bandage. "There, all better. Does it still hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Sasuke, having regained his composure, was about to speak when Kenji started tending to his wound. Watching Kenji fuss over him made Sasuke feel a bit happy. When Kenji asked him again, Sasuke turned his head awkwardly, replying coldly, "I'm fine. It's just a scratch, nothing to fuss about." He pulled his arm away and strutted off proudly.

Kenji scratched his head, smiling, and followed Sasuke, "I'll walk you home." Sasuke replied coolly, "Do whatever you want," picking up his pace. Kenji trotted after him.

Upon arriving at Sasuke's house, Itachi greeted them with his usual smile. Noticing Sasuke's bandaged arm, he asked, "How did you get hurt?" Sasuke replied, "It's nothing, brother. Just a little scratch from training. Kenji here overreacted and wrapped me up."

Itachi turned to Kenji, "Thank you. My brother doesn't know how to take care of himself, and you're alright." Kenji, embarrassed, said, "It's nothing, really. No need to thank me. It was my fault Sasuke got hurt."

Sasuke, impatient with the conversation, interjected, "I said it's fine. Kenji, see you tomorrow." He headed inside.

Itachi apologized to Kenji, "Sorry about that. See you tomorrow." Kenji replied politely, "No problem, see you tomorrow, Itachi." With that, Kenji headed home. Itachi watched him leave before returning inside to check on Sasuke.

Kenji stopped for a bowl of ramen on his way home, and once there, he lay on his bed for a nap.

Meanwhile, the Third Hokage, from his office in the Hokage Building, observed Kenji through his crystal ball, watching him eat and then fall asleep. Shaking his head, he mused, "Sleeping right after eating isn't healthy. I'll have to talk to him about taking care of himself. This boy really doesn't know how to look after himself."

Reflecting on Kenji's training with Sasuke, he murmured, "These two are promising for the future of the Leaf Village. They're worth nurturing. They could become pillars of the village. I'll see to it they attend the Ninja Academy together." After another glance, the Third Hokage ended his surveillance.

Just as the Third Hokage ceased watching, Kenji, lying on his bed, opened his eyes and sat up. He murmured, "It seems he's done. I hope I don't disappoint him."

When Kenji and Sasuke had gone to the woods to train, Kenji's heightened awareness made him sense the Third Hokage's surveillance. Knowing he was being watched through the crystal ball, Kenji acted friendly and caring towards Sasuke to avoid raising suspicion.

He ate and slept on schedule, presenting the innocence of a 5-year-old. Training with Sasuke let the Third Hokage see their talent, gaining his approval and ensuring he wouldn't mention anything to Danzo. Though unlikely, if the old man ever compromised with Danzo, it could be troublesome. Kenji only relaxed once the surveillance ended.

Kenji closed his eyes, scanning his surroundings, confirming no one was watching. He murmured, "Byakugan, activate." The Byakugan on his forehead opened, veins around his eyes bulging.

Before his Byakugan, a spatial rift appeared. Kenji reached into it, retrieving a bag containing the cotton with Sasuke's blood he'd used earlier.

Taking out the bag, Kenji closed his eyes. He quickly retrieved medical equipment from under his bed, placing the blood-soaked cotton in a glass bottle with small holes. Using a glass rod, he squeezed out Sasuke's blood until the cotton was dry.

Next, Kenji pricked his finger with a needle, placing a drop of his blood on a glass slide. He then used a pipette to add Sasuke's blood to his own. Under a microscope, Kenji watched as their blood mixed perfectly, showing no signs of rejection. The cells seemed to become more active.

Kenji realized he was halfway to success. Their blood not rejecting each other meant he could continue. The next step was careful observation. Once the cells stabilized, he could inject Sasuke's blood into himself, gaining both Asura and Indra's chakra, allowing him to unlock the Rinnegan and resurrect his parents.

Kenji looked at Sasuke's blood, clenching his hands, "Mom, Dad, I will bring you back. No matter what I face, I will not step back."
