Dr. Stylish: What's our status on the soldiers?

He asked a man with one eye.

???: The soldiers have made their way inside.

Said a girl with green hair, green eyes, a purple headband, and huge elf-like ears.

Dr. Stylish: Ah, let the show begin! I'm tingling with anticipation!

Meanwhile, inside the base.

Lubbock: Holy crap! Where'd they come from all of a sudden?! They're already on top of us!

He said this while running down the hallway.

He stopped when one of Dr. Stylish's soldiers came through the roof, landing right in front of Lubbock. The soldier had a weird mask on. It looked like a white, blank face with huge cat ears attached to each other. He also had sharp claws attached to his fingers.

Dr. Stylish Soldier: The enemy must be killed.

He yelled as he charged at Lubbock, only to have him jump over him.

Lubbock wrapped his metal string around the soldier's neck and pulled on it to decapitate him, but when he pulled on it, it didn't kill him. The soldier just twisted his head in a total 180° and looked at Lubbock, and it freaked Lubbock out.

Lubbock:WHATTHEFUCKDIDYOUJUSTDOTHATSNOTEVENPOSSIBLEYOURENOTHUMANDEFINETLYNOTHUMANJUSTDIEYOUEVILSPAWNOFSATAN!!!!!!!

He yelled as he pulled on the string harder.

Back with Dr. Stylish.

???: It sounds like they have one.

Said the girl with green hair and big ears.

Dr. Stylish: Well, my enhanced fighters are more resilient than humans. It takes serious finesse to put even a scratch on them.

Dr. Stylish: Is there some kind of problem, Mimi?

Mimi: Well, they seem to be holding their ground very well. But that's not the only problem.

Dr. Stylish: Well, what is it?

Mimi: There seems to be someone about 10 miles behind us running towards the base. And he's closing in on us fast.

Dr. Stylish: Alone, you say? Huh, interesting. How long until he gets here?

Mimi: About 30 minutes.

Dr. Stylish:. Just send out a group of soldiers to his location. Let us focus on the here and now.

Mimi: Understood.

Back with Lubbock.

The soldier was still tangled up in Lubbock's string, but he was able to charge at Lubbock, and he tried to cut his stomach. But before he could do that, Lubbock used the string and wrapped it around his stomach like a shield.

Lubbock: You'd be amazed at what I can do with this little bit of string. Check this out!

He then began to twirl the string in the air as the soldier charged at him.

Lubbock: All I have to do is bind them all together, and... Voila!!

He yelled as he made a spear out of metal string.

Lubbock then chucked the spear at the soldier's chest, and it knocked him to the ground.

Dr. Stylish Soldier: S-So... Creative...

He said this as he bled out and died.

Lubbock: I saw that in a comic one time. You wouldn't believe it, but those crazy things are full of ideas on how to manipulate strings.

Lubbock then heard walls breaking behind him.

Lubbock: Crap! Another one-

He looked behind him and saw about 20 Dr. Stylish soldiers crawling their way towards him.

Lubbock: Nope, more than one. Ah, sorry, I'm not good with groups. I think I'm going to pass you guys, if that's cool with you.

He then saw the soldiers sprint at him.

Lubbock: AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Someone help me!!!!!

He yelled as he ran away from the horde of soldiers.

He kept on running until someone jumped over the soldiers and landed in front of them.

Akame: Stay behind me, Lubbock!

Lubbock: YES, I CAN DO IT!!

Akame then pulled out her sword and chopped up all of the soldiers into pieces in a matter of seconds.

Lubbock: Nice one, Akame.

???: Well, well... What do we have here?

Said a voice behind Akame.

Akame turned around and saw a man with black hair, blue eyes, a dark blue coat with yellow highlights, glasses on the bridge of his nose, and a metal helmet on top of his head.

???: Impressive for a couple of thugs. You can call me Toby. And I'm here to battle you one-on-one, Akame!

He said as he pulled out the blades attached to his wrists and dashed at Akame with great speed.

Toby jumped in the air and went for a kick on the head, but Akame noticed that he unsheathed a blade on his foot. Akame dove and put her sword up to block the attack. Toby grinded on top of Akame's sword, but as he was about to jump off of the sword, Akame turned around and cut his back.

Akame: (in thought) He's different. When I cut into his skin, I could tell that his whole body was mechanical.

Lubbock went to run to Akame's aid, but he was stopped by two really big soldiers standing in front of him.

Lubbock: Giants, huh?! ALRIGHT, BRING IT ON!!!

He said as metal string twirled around him.

Meanwhile, outside the base.

Tatsumi equipped Incursio and went to deal with the soldiers outside. He killed the first one by punching his head off, the second one by kicking him into some rocks, and he killed the rest by punching a shockwave at them.

???: Hey you!

Tatsumi turned around and saw a big guy with short black hair, black eyes, a mustache, and a right metal hand. He was wearing a green cloak with black and red pouches. He had a short white shirt under it. He also had red pants. He seemed to be 6'7'.

???: My name is Kaku. It was nice of you to show yourself. It seems you're the fella I'm supposed to kill. So let's get down to it.

He said this as he pulled out a big sword with a red and golden handle.

Kaku: This is 'The Blade of Creation, Devastator'. Originally the prototype for 'The Shears of Creation, Extase'. And if you want' it. You're going to have to pry it from my cold, bloody hands!!

He yelled as Tatsumi charged at him with a sword in hand.

Tatsumi jumped in the air and went for a downward slash, but when he made contact, his blade split in half. Tatsumi couldn't even react as Kaku's sword cut his arm and Kaku's metal hand punched his face, and he went into some trees.

Kaku: You see, it still has the same quirks as Extase. It can cut everything that it touches. So no matter how armored you are, I can still cut through you like tissue paper.

Kaku walked up to Tatsumi and raised his sword high in the air. He was about to slash his blade down, but suddenly, it broke in half.

Kaku: WHAT THE?!?! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!?!

Sheele: If it's a prototype of my Teigu, then it's weaker. Therefore, I can cut through your weapon.

Kaku: YOU'RE GONNA DIE FOR THA.

He was interrupted by the sound of Pumpkin firing a shot at his head.

Mine: No one is going to die on my watch.

She said this as she made her way towards Sheele.

Tatsumi: Thanks for that, Sheele.

Sheele: No problem.

Mine: HEY! WHAT ABOUT ME?!

Sheele: Oh, you did a great shot, mine. Please don't be mad.

Mine: Hmph.

She said ass and puffed her cheeks out.

Back with Dr. Stylish.

Mimi: They were able to kill Kaku. But our main problem is that nearly all of our soldiers are dead.

Dr. Stylish: (sarcastic) Oh, my goodness, what a tragic turn of events. Oh well, that does it. Time for plan B.

Mimi: Doctor, there seems to be something flying over us!

Dr. Stylish looked above him and saw a giant manta ray in the sky.

Dr. Stylish: That must be the Danger Beast Air Manta!

Eyes: And someone seems to be riding it on its back!

Mimi: That's Ex-General Najenda! And two people are up there with her! ..... Wait! I'm getting something else—Oh, my god. Oh my god! Oh, my God!!

She yelled as she clutched her head in her hands.

Dr. Stylish: What's going on, Mimi?

Mimi: We have a bigger problem!! The guy behind us is shredding through the soldiers like butter!! I could hear the soldiers screaming in agony!! They were crying for him to spare them!!

Dr. Stylish: .....We'll deal with him later. For now, let's take care of business here. If he's as strong as you say he is, then we'll deal with him last.

Mimi: O-Ok.

Boss: Headquarters was proud of their fortune-telling arms. I predicted trouble near the hideout, and it came to pass. I was glad I flew back as soon as I found out. This is your shot, recruits. Time to show me what you're made of.

She said this to the two hooded figures.

Back with Dr. Stylish.

Dr. Stylish: I honestly hoped that this fight would be easier. But there's no time for that! All of Night Raid will become part of my experiments! Time to use my Trump card!

He said this as his gloves glowed a bright pink.

With Akame.

Akame stood her ground as Toby charged at her and went for a kick with his bladed foot. Akame parried it and sliced his left arm off. Toby backed away to get some distance.

Akame: If I can't kill you in one hit, then I'll have to chop you into pieces. And it's going to hurt. You better get ready.

Toby: That's where you're mistaken. Given my condition, I can't feel pain anymore!

Toby charged at Akame again as he went with a Webster axe kick as his foot revealed another blade, but Akame dodged it. Seeing an opening, Toby twisted his body and turned his armless shoulder into another blade, but Akame blocked it. Toby opened his mouth to reveal a gun and shot. Akame just tilted her head out of the way of the bullet.

Toby didn't have time to react as Akame cut his other arm off. Growing frustrated, Toby pulled out a gun from his shoulder, but Akame dashed under him and chopped his leg off. Toby tried to turn around but was met with a spear through the chest. Akame looked behind Toby and saw Bulat wearing bunny PJs and with his arm forward. Lubbock was right beside him.

Toby: D -Damn you! This wasn't even your fight!

Bulat: Did you really think I was going to stand there and watch? Man, you really are a dumbass.

Toby: Well, as it was going... I was going to lose anyway. It was nice to fight someone so formidable.

Akame: I can't say the same for you.

Toby: Heh, I know.

Akame walked towards him and cut his head off.

With Tatsumi.

Tatsumi, Sheele, and Mine looked up at the giant manta ray in the sky.

Tatsumi: What is that?

Mine: It seems to be the Danger Beast Air Manta.

Sheele: There's someone riding on it, but I can't see who.

Mine: Let me check.

Mine then pulled out an attachable pink eye scope and zoomed in on the giant manta ray.

Mine: What do you know?! It's the boss! And I'm guessing some new recruits.

Tatsumi: Sweet. Perfect timing. Wait, that's not fair!

Mine: What's not fair?

Tatsumi: How come they get to ride a giant fish?! I want to ride a giant fish!!

Mine: Umm, I'm not sure how to respond to that.

Sheele: I love fish!

While looking up in the sky at the giant manta ray, they didn't notice that a red-haired man behind them had a knife in his hand and was running at mine.

???: GOTCHA!!-

He was interrupted as Leone kicked him square in the face, sending him into some trees 30 feet away.

Leone: You really caught me off-guard, didn't you?!

The three looked over and saw Leone in her Lioness form, and she looked pissed off.

Leone: I was passed out and hung over, and you threw a knife at me?! That is grounds for a serious ass-kicking, my friend!!

She yelled as she lifted the red-haired man in the air by his neck.

Mine, Tatsumi, Sheele: Uuuuuhhhhhhhhh.

???: P-Put me d-down! I-I can't breathe!

Leone: Word of advice. I'm a huge fan of surprise attacks. But if there's one thing I hate about them, It's when they happen to me! Your body looks like it's been enhanced, but I wouldn't expect that to make your death any easier!!

Sweat metaphorically came down off of Tatsumi's helmet as Mine looked nervous. Sheele didn't know what was going on.

Leone looked at the red-haired man, and he smirked. Leone was confused until a short blade came out of his boot. The man tried to kill Leone with it, but she caught the blade with her teeth and broke it in half.

???: You sure are full of surprises, aren't you?

Leone slammed him into the ground so hard that a small crater was beneath her feet. It killed the man instantly.

Leone: ..... Oh, crap. I think I killed him.

Tatsumi: Uuuhhh, big sis? What was that about?

Leone: Huh? Oh, this little shit decided to throw a paralization knife at me while I was drunk.

Tatsumi: "Why were you drinking?"

Leone: I have my reasons.

Mine: Hey guys! Look! It's Akame, Bulat, and Lubbock!

She said this as she pointed at the three coming towards them.

Akame: Is everyone okay?!

Tatsumi: Yeah.

Mine: I think we're all good.

Bulat: Hold on! Do y'all hear that?

Tatsumi: Hear what?

Before they knew it, they were quickly surrounded by tons of soldiers.

Tatsumi: It looks like we've still got some work to do.

Lubbock: This doesn't make sense! How'd they get in without setting off my traps?!

Leone: I'm not picking up anyone else's smell either.

Tatsumi: ..... Whatever, we're all together, so let's just knock these suckers out, ok?

Mine: Well, not all of us.

Leone: Yeah, this would be so much easier with Yhwach here.

Mine: Speaking of Yhwach, where is he?

Tatsumi: Yhwach told me that he wanted to go outside and get fresh air.

Soon, everyone fell to the ground, weakened by something. Tatsumi was the only one not fazed by it.

Tatsumi: Akame?! What's wrong with you guys?!

Mine: I-I can't... move... my body.

Bulat: T-Tatsumi. This is exactly what happened on the boat.

Tatsumi: You're right. Hypnosis maybe?

Akame: N-No. It's something else.

With Dr. Stylish.

It seems to be working on all targets except for the one wearing Incursio.

He said he was a bulky man with blonde hair, black bracelets, a grey and white vest, and he wore a purple eye patch with red, yellow, and green eyes.

Dr. Stylish: That's the effect of my Trump card. A fast-acting gas-type paralysis agent I made all by myself.

??? 2: B-BUT, WON'T ALL OF OUR ALLIES BE POISONED TOO?!?!

I yelled at a man who wore a revealing black outfit. He also had black hair, and his eyes were blue.

Mimi: Obviously the good doctor remembered to treat them with the antidote, moron.

??? 2: Oooh~ Master Stylish, you're like a super genius!

Dr. Stylish: It's not like I intended to try out my latest concoction on such promising subjects, you know? See? It's a very valuable creation, and I went to great lengths to get it. But I had no other option! They were wiping out my lovely cohorts so quickly! *sobbing*

???: We understand, Master.

Mimi: We understand.

??? 2: Yes, and the poison has no smell, so it's easy on my nose!

Mimi: *gasp* D-Dr. S-Stylish...

Dr. Stylish: What? What?! WHAT?!?!

Mimi:...He's here.

Back with Night Raid.

Tatsumi: (in thought) I'm holding up better than anyone else right now. I guess it's all up to me.

Out of nowhere, someone came through the sky and made a huge crater beneath his feet, causing a huge shockwave of air to go by everyone. He stood up so everyone could see him. He had blue hair and blue eyes. He was very tall and appeared to be in his early 20s. He also had two bison-like horns protruding out of the sides of his head.

He held out his stave-like weapon, and small blades came out of the gaps and spun very quickly.

Leone: Is he with us?

The man then charged at a small group of soldiers and cut through them like butter. A soldier tried to attack him from behind, but he just hit him with his fist without looking. All the soldiers jumped at him at once. He responded by swinging his weapon around and cutting all of the soldiers in half, sending blood and intestines all around him.

Tatsumi: WHAT THE?!?!

With Dr. Stylish.

???: Sir! Someone just jumped down and is now pulverizing the entire infantry!

Mimi: But that's impossible! The poison should affect every living thing in the area!

Dr. Stylish: Maybe not. He may have an unlisted Teigu. In which case, I guess I don't really need to include him in my research.

He said this as he pulled out a remote and pressed the trigger.

The once-dead soldiers began to get bigger and bigger until they blew up in front of the mysterious man.

Dr. Stylish: Do you like my Deluxe Human Explosive? Ha! One down!

???: W-Wait, oh my god.

The man's once-blown-up body grew back together, leaving no marks of any kind.

Dr. Stylish: What's going on with me?

Me: I've only heard of these! He's organic! He's a human, Teigu!

Back with Night Raid.

The mysterious man looked around and saw Mine on the ground with her hair all messed up. He walked over to her with a menacing look on his face.

Mine: Umm... What are you?

The man put his hand on top of Mine's head and pushed her hair down, straightening it.

???: Fixed.

Mine: Wait, what?!

A gunshot was heard. Mine looked up and saw the man's head completely torn off, only for it to grow back. The man looked behind him and saw Yhwach standing there with a gun.

Akame: Y-Yhwach?

The man looked at me and stood up.

???: I'll be right back.

He then walked toward Yhwach, and he proceeded to do the same. That walk turned into a sprint and then a full-on run. They were about to clash until someone called out to them.

Boss: Susanoo! I think there has been a misunderstanding!

The two stopped and looked beside them. They saw the boss with a gas mask standing there in disapproval. She also had a girl who had pale skin, auburn hair, and red eyes standing beside her. She wore a butterfly headphone accessory on her head. She wore a white long-sleeve shirt with a red ribbon under a black vest. She also had a gas mask on her face.

Yhwach: A misunderstanding?

Susanoo: Wait. Master, do you know this old man?

Yhwach raised an eyebrow, his stern gaze fixed on Susanoo. He didn't seem particularly bothered, but there was a subtle intensity in his eyes.

Yhwach: Old man, you say? I suppose appearances can be deceiving. It matters not. Clarify this misunderstanding, and swiftly. We don't have time for trivialities.

His piercing gaze turned towards the boss, awaiting an explanation.

Boss: Yhwach, this is Susanoo, one of our new recruits.

???: Hi there!

Said the auburn-haired girl.

Boss: This is Chelsea, our second recruit.

Yhwach looked at Susanoo and Chelsea, still processing the situation.

Yhwach: Recruits, you say? I apologize for the confusion, but your sudden appearance and combat prowess led me to believe otherwise.

Susanoo: No need to worry, sir. It's an honest mistake. We're here to help Night Raid.

Chelsea: Yeah, we're not enemies. I promise.

Yhwach observed them for a moment, assessing their sincerity. Finally, he nodded.

Yhwach: Very well. Apologies for the abrupt introduction. I am Yhwach, and this is Tatsumi, Mine, Leone, Akame, Lubbock, Bulat, and Sheele.

Susanoo: Nice to meet you all.

Chelsea: Pleasure.

Boss: Tatsumi. Chelsea. I need you to take the rest of Night Raid away from the poison.

Tatsumi: Will do.

Chelsea: On it!

With Dr. Stylish.

Mimi: I-it's the man I told you about!! He spotted us and is perusing us with great speed along with Former-General Najenda and the other guy!!

Dr. Stylish: That guy is with Night Raid?!?!Nothing to be done, is there?! All we can do now is run!!

He said as him and his team ran away into the forest. 

Dr. Stylish: ( In thought ) Poison doesn't work on organic types! And they can't effect people with gas masks on either! It won't be able to enter their bodies!

They stopped when they saw Yhwach, Susanoo, and Najenda standing there in front of them.

Me: Nothing to fear, Master Stylish!

???: We are your guardians until the bitter end! I assure you; you're in good hands!

Dr. Stylish: (In thought) 'Oh, please. You don't stand a chance. I designed y'all for recon, not hand-to-hand combat. So...

Dr. Stylish: I'M GONNA HAVE TO PROTECT MYSELF!!!

He then pulled out a small syringe with some weird fluid in it. He injected the fluid into his body.

Me: Are you okay, Master Stylish? What's wrong?

Dr. Stylish's body began to change. His hair grew longer, his muscles bulked up, and flesh warped around him. Soon, his body became part of a bigger body... it was weird.

???: He is GORGEOUS!!!!

Me: Very impressive, Master!! Wait... what are you doing?!

He grew concerned as Dr. Stylish grabbed both of them in his huge hands.

Dr. Stylish: I'm gonna have a little sustenance, yes? Time for us to become one!!

Me and the long-nosed man screamed in agony as Dr. Stylish threw us into a large mouth connected to the big body's stomach. Mimi saw that Dr. Stylish was distracted and tried to get away, but the Boss went in front of her and punched her in the face, knocking her out. She then dragged her body into some bushes so she wouldn't be seen and quickly made her way back to Yhwach and Susanoo before Dr. Stylish even noticed.

Dr. Stylish: Ah~ Just as I suspected. Scarfing down all this nutritious meat is helping me level up!!

Dr. Stylish's body began to morph and change even more as his giant body grew even bigger to where he was the size of a mountain. He grew a head that had a red tube on the back, his right arm turned into a metal one, his legs also turned into metal. His actual body was on the forehead of the massive one.

 Yhwach: ....What in the world did I just witness?

Boss: He's a mutation. And he's very ugly.

Dr. Stylish: Well, this isn't bad. But I'd like to be a scosh bigger. These people still have me outmatched even when I'm a giant! I suppose if I truly want to win this battle, I have to grow even larger! Prepare yourself to be devoured alive!

He swung his hand down, attempting to squash all three of them simultaneously, but they agilely dodged. Susanoo struck Dr. Stylish's metal hand with his weapon, but it remained unyielding. Reacting swiftly, Dr. Stylish smacked Susanoo into some trees with his other hand. Trying to crush Yhwach and the Boss with his remaining hand, they managed to evade the attack.

Boss: We need a plan.

Yhwach: Stand back I'll handle him on my own.

Boss: I'll leave you to it. Susanoo!! We're leaving!!

Susanoo: Why, Master?

Boss: Because he wants to fight against Dr. Attack on Titan all alone.

Susanoo: A mere man cannot take down such a powerful opponent by himself.

In the blink of an eye, Yhwach appeared behind Susanoo and leapt at Dr. Stylish's body. Caught off guard, Dr. Stylish found himself face-to-face with Yhwach, who swiftly drew his blade and cut through Dr. Stylish's chest.

The colossal body collapsed, creating a massive crater. Susanoo was left in awe as Yhwach returned to him.

Yhwach: Tell me, Susanoo.....Can a mere man do that?

Without hesitation, Susanoo bowed before Yhwach, repeatedly begging for forgiveness.

Yhwach: Enough of that. 

Boss: (approaching Yhwach) Impressive work, Yhwach.

Yhwach: (nodding) It was necessary.

Tatsumi: what are you gonna do with the chick with big ears?

Boss: We're gonna send her into the cell room and hopefully get some info about the Capital from her.

Boss: Susanoo, you can get up now.

Susanoo: ....

Boss: ...Whatever.

She said as she got up and and walked back to the base. 

Timeskip

Tatsumi: I know we had to change base, but this seems to immediate.

Up in the air, Night Raid was riding on top of the Danger Beast Air Manta. Tatsumi was riding up front with Yhwach and Chelsea sitting right next to him. Susanoo was sitting next to the Boss while keeping his eyes on the currently knocked out Mimi.

Tatsumi: WOOO!!! YEAH!!! THIS FEELS AWESOME!!!

He shouted out of excitement.

Chelsea: Hahahaha!! You're so innocent. I can't believe you're a murderer, Tatsumi.

On the right wing, Akame, Sheele and Leone were sitting next to each other while looking at the huge and snowed-in mountains on their left.

Leone: Wow! This is even more of a blast than I thought!

Sheele: Indeed!

Akame: I agree as well. The view is very nice.

However, Lubbock, Mine and Bulat were freezing their asses off on the left wing.

Lubbock, Mine and Bulat: THIS IS NOT PLEASANT AT ALL!!!

Tatsumi: You guys should have dressed more warmly! It's not that bad!

Mine: Easy for you to say when you're in the middle.

Bulat: (shivering) This is torture.

Leone: Quit complaining, you bunch of softies.

Small Timeskip

Night Raid soon found themselves landing in a place filled with mountains and tall trees. There were also Danger Beasts everywhere they looked, from up in the air to on the ground. Susanoo was carrying the unconscious Mimi on his shoulder.

Boss: The Marg Highlands are crawling with Danger Beasts which make it impossible for humans to live here. And that's why it's a perfect place to build our new hideout. The Revolutionary Army's recon unit is currently searching for a more permanent place for us near the Capital, but they haven't found anything. So, until we hear from them, we're going to stay here for now.

Before anyone could say anything, the Air Manta got off the ground and flew away into the distance.

Mine: Look! It's leaving. Should we try to catch it?

Chelsea: It's going back to its nest, silly! I'm surprised you weren't smart enough to figure that out. Hahahaha!

Mine: Oh great. You already piss me off!

She said as she bawled up her fist and a murderous aura surrounded her.

Boss: Oh, yes. I forgot to introduce you to our newest recruits. I'd like you to meet- Huh?

The Boss looked at the spot where Chelsea just was, but she was no longer there. 

Chelsea: I knew you were cute, but you look adorable from up close, Akame!

The Boss turned to her left and saw Chelsea brushing Akame's hair with her hand. Akame blushed from the embarrassment.

Akame: Why are you touching me?

Chelsea: Oh yes. My name is Chelsea. Since we're going to be killing people together, I hope we all get along.

She then pulled out a lollipop from her pocket and showed it to Akame. 

Chelsea: Here! This is for you!

Akame gasped and immediately took it from her hands.

Akame: Welcome to the team.

Tatsumi: DID SHE JUST WIN AKAME'S HEART WITH A LOLLIPOP?!?!

Lubbock: HOW?!?!

The two looked over to Bulat and saw him talking to Susanoo.

Bulat: You seem like a cool guy. Welcome to Night Raid! You can either call me 'Bro' or 'Handsome'.

Susanoo: It is nice to meet you, 'Handsome'.

Bulat gasped and immediately put his arm around Susanoo's shoulders.

Bulat: I like this guy!

Sheele: Yes. He seems like a very likable person

Lubbock's face turned from surprised to annoyed.

Lubbock: Oh great! Now Bulat and Sheele have taken a liking to him as well.

Tatsumi: You know, Chelsea seems to be even less likely to be a cold-blooded assassin than Mine and the other girls do.

The Boss looked over to Tatsumi with a serious look.

Boss: Don't judge a book by its cover. She's an expert killer who's completed just as many jobs as Akame.

Tatsumi: HUH?!?!

Boss: And as for this fellow, headquarters has entrusted him with me as well. Everyone meet the Lightning Fast Susanoo. He's my new Teigu.

Bulat: Wait! This guy is a Teigu? That's cool.

He said as he let go of Susanoo and walked toward Tatsumi.

Sheele: Umm, I'm sorry for asking but, what kind of Teigu is he?

She said while holding her hand in the air.

Boss: He's an Organic Type. And Organic Types are mostly autonomous, so he shouldn't be all that draining. Even with all my injuries, I can still use him.

Tatsumi looked at Susanoo and recognized him. He walked up to Susanoo and held his hand out to shake.

Tatsumi: Uhh, Hi. I think we meet earlier-

Susanoo looked down at Tatsumi's shirt and saw that they weren't tucked into his pants. He immediately started to go around Tatsumi while tucking in his shirt into his pants while fixing his shoes. When he was done, he backed away from Tatsumi and looked at him with a crazed look.

Susanoo: Fixed.

Boss: I should warn you, he's a bit of a neat freak.

Mine: Yeah, no kidding. Now I get why he fixed my hair before.

Leone: Okay. So what exactly is his primary ability? Does he only do hand-to-hand combat?

The Boss then grew a mischievous smile as she looked down at the ground.

Boss: Hehe..... Allow me to demonstrate that for you. Try to contain your excitement. Susanoo, proceed!

Susanoo: Understood.

Susanoo then grabs an axe form behind his back and proceeds to chop down some wood at a very fast rate. He then digs up some stone and throws it with the wood that he chopped down. Somehow, he was able to build a large cabin in a matter of 5 seconds.

Lubbock: Ok I'll admit, that DOES look impressive, but what is he doing?

Tatsumi: From where I'm standing, it looks like..... chores?

Boss: Wonderful, isn't he? Susanoo's original purpose was to protect royalty and others of status. Not only can he fight, but he's equipped with a full range of cleaning and cooking skills so he never has to leave his owners side! He can do it all!! And the best part is, his menu includes a thousand different dishes!

Mine: HOW IS ANY OF THAT GONNA HELP US IN A FIGHT?!?!

Boss: Now, now, I'm sure you'll come to appreciate it. Last but not least, he also has a Trump Card for combat as well. Don't you?

Susanoo: Yes.

Tatsumi: ( In thought ) So these are our new teammates, huh? They seem pretty reliable-

His thoughts were interrupted at the sound of Chelsea making fun of Mine.

Chelsea: Oh my god! You're as flat as a board aren't you?!

Mine: SHUT UP!!!

Lubbock: Y'know, you may be all big and strong and handsome and everything, but you're still just a glorified man maid!

Tatsumi: ( In thought ) I just hope our teamwork isn't gonna suffer.

Tatsumi: Hey Yhwach What do you think of our new teammates?

Yhwach observed the interactions among the new recruits and the existing members of Night Raid. He maintained his usual composed demeanor, thoughtful and observant.

Yhwach: They seem capable. Susanoo's abilities are interesting, and Chelsea... well, she brings a unique dynamic.

Tatsumi: Yeah, she's different from the rest of us. I mean, she seems so carefree and playful.

Yhwach: Sometimes appearances can be deceiving, Tatsumi. Keep that in mind. It's not uncommon for assassins to wear masks, not just on their faces but in their personalities.

Tatsumi nodded, taking Yhwach's words to heart.

Small Timeskip - Night Time

Tatsumi Pov

Me and the rest of the team were inside the cabin in thee living room. Leone was laying down on the carpet next to the fire, Akame, Sheele and Lubbock were sitting on one couch while Bulat, Mine and Chelsea were sitting on the other. The Boss and Susanoo were standing right next to the couch that Bulat was sitting on while I was sitting on the ground right next the the couch that Akame was sitting on, and Yhwach is outside.

Mimi: LET ME OUT OF THIS CAGE YOU MIND-CONTROLLING MONSTERS!!!!

She yelled from her cage made out of pure tungsten.

Lubbock: NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!!! AND KEEP QUIET!!!

He yelled back. 

Lubbock: Maybe we can get Yhwach to make her talk when he comes back.

Tatsumi: Most likely. That old man can get anyone to talk.

Boss: As I was about to say, It looks like the Empire is gradually building up its forces.

Akame: And there's no way we will win as we are now, We have to make ourselves stronger.

Boss: Revolution Day is almost here. Let's use what little time we have left for training. I also wouldn't count on getting any more new fighters if I were you. Please consider this is the last time we receive reinforcements. If we work as a team, we will all survive to see the coming of the New World!

Timeskip - The Next Day

In the middle of the lake near the new base, Akame and Susanoo were fishing for food for an early dinner. While she was waiting for something to bite onto her hook, Akame was eating some onigiri she brought with her for a snack while having a straw hat on. Right as she was about to take another bite, her pole bent so hard that it nearly broke. She immediately grabbed it and pulled against it as hard as she could.

Akame: I got one!!

She pulled onto her pole harder and a HUGE fish came out of the water. Susanoo looked over to Akame and saw the fish in the air. He looked at Akame again and saw a small amount of rice on her cheek. He gasped and took the rice off of her face.

Susanoo: Fixed.

He then looked above him and saw the fish with his mouth wide open ready to eat him. Susanoo grabbed his stave-like weapon and hit the fish on his side. The shockwave from the attack killed the fish instantly. Akame looked up and saw the fish's size, It was about as big as a kitchen table.

Akame : It's gonna be a huge feast tonight. I can't wait!

About 3 hours later, we see Tatsumi, Yhwach, Leone, Akame, Bulat, The Boss and Susanoo in the dining room. On the table was a huge fish that was already eaten. Sheele decided that she wanted to go to bed early so we wished her goodnight. 

Leone: Ah man, that was delicious and hit the spot, Susanoo. I feel like I can take on the world.

Akame: Thank you for all your help.

Tatsumi: Hey, Susanoo. Do you wanna train with me and Bulat tomorrow?

Bulat: It will give us the opportunity to know each other better. Maybe in more ways than one~

Susanoo: I will gladly join you both tomorrow.

The Boss chuckled which caused them all to look at her.

Boss: I knew he'd come around once you saw how handy he can be.

Tatsumi: It's pretty cool that the guys back at headquarters would let you borrow such an awesome weapon.

Boss: They said that Susanoo had been in hibernation for quite some time. He felt my presence and activated immediately.

Akame: That's pretty cool.

Boss: Oh, it's easy to see why. My feminine charm, of course.

Susanoo: Actually, she is like a spitting image of my previous master.

Leone: That makes sense.

Boss: If she was like me, then she must have been a wonderful person.

Susanoo: Yeah. Not only a great leader, but a good man-

Boss: A MAN?!?!

Leone and Tatsumi couldn't hold it in, so they started laughing.

Leone: Hahahahaha!! See, Boss?! You totally look like a dude!!! That's probably why you're such a stud!!! Hahahahaha!!

Tatsumi: Hahahahaha!! Cut it out!! If you make her mad then she's gonna freak out and kill us!! Hahahahaha!!

They immediately stopped laughing once they noticed that The Boss' metal hand was twitching. They both looked at her and noticed a scary aura quickly surrounding her.

Leone: Oh, uhh.... Yeah, sorry.

The Boss then took her metal hand and hit them both on the head. Two noticeable bumps appeared on the top of their heads very quickly.

Leone and Tatsumi: Oww!

On the corner of the dining room, Lubbock and Mine were sitting on a small couch. Mine was currently eating a small piece of cheesecake while Lubbock noticed of how everyone was getting along with Susanoo very easily, and he didn't take it well.

Lubbock: Geez! I don't get why everybody's so quick to like that guy. I thought I was the mister suave-awesome around here.

Mine: Don't worry Lubbock, I'm pretty sure no one considered you suave-awesome in the first place.

Mine then quickly noticed that a cat walked through a door right next to her. The cat and then walked over to her and looked directly at her food. The cat then jumped on top of the couch and looked at Mine.

Mine: Don't look at me like that! I'm not giving you any of my sna-

The cat looked at her with pleading eyes. It didn't take long for her to give up and give the cat a piece of her food, or so she thought. The cat then jumped and took the whole plate off of Mine's lap. Mine looked at the cat again in shock and annoyance, but only for the cat to be surrounded by smoke. The smoke quickly subsided to reveal Chelsea with Mine's plate full of food in hand.

Chelsea: Hehe. What a PURRFECT little snack.

Mine: WHA- IT'S YOU!!!

Chelsea: Hehehe. Oh, Mine, you always make it so easy I just can't help myself. 

She then took the whole cheesecake and ate it all in one bite.

Mine: I HATE YOU!!!

Lubbock: So was that your Teigu?

Chelsea: It sure is! I can instantly change into anything I want!

She then pulled out a small makeup kit with scissors, nail polish, string and a lot more.

Chelsea: Pretty cool, right? It's called, Gaia Foundation, it's perfect for stealth operations. Which I must say Mine, if you're not more careful, you'll be the first team member to get killed on the battlefield.

Mine: EXCUSE ME?!?! IF THE ENEMY FINDS OUT ABOUT YOUR WEAPON, THEN YOU'RE SCREWED!!!

Chelsea: It's a cosmetic-type Teigu, so I can't do any real damage with it. But that's what makes the art of deception so exciting! That look of surprise on your face a minute ago.... makes it all worth it.

Chelsea then started to laugh as Mine was getting even more pissed off.

Mine: AHH!!!! GOD I HATE YOU!!!!

Timeskip -Akame Pov

We were still in the forest. We decided that we can't stay in the cabin for too long so we decided to build another Base. Yhwach, Tatsumi, Bulat, and Susanoo went to a waterfall where there were boulders falling off of it for training while the rest of us built the new Night Raid Base. The green haired girl was still squirming and yelling to try to break free, so I had to take her to her cell and knock her out. 

3 Hours Later

Tatsumi: ....This is it?

He said while looking at the Base.

Akame: Yeah. Is something wrong?

Tatsumi: ...It just doesn't look any different than the old hideout.

Akame: Well, when you build a facility that's hard to find and easy to flee, it pretty much looks like this.

Mine: And the best part is the new one has a hot spring too!

Leone: After this job, we should have a soak and get trashed!

Chelsea: Sounds like fun!

Lubbock: Najenda, guess what! I just set up a barrier around the whole perimeter of the Base!

He said while running to her.

Boss: ....Ok.

Susanoo: And I dug up a couple of traps just in case of an emergency.

He said while carrying a shovel on his shoulder.

Boss: Oh, wow! That was very quick! Nice job, Susanoo!

Lubbock just stared blankly at the boss before he turned to Susanoo and glared at him. He walked toward Susanoo, still glaring at him, until he was face-to-face with him. He pointed his finger right in front of Susanoo's face.

Lubbock: Listen here you lil' shit.

Small Timeskip - Inside the New Night Raid Base

Boss: I hate to send some of you out again so soon, but the next job is to take out the new Danger Beasts that are going around the capital. We don't know much about them at the moment, except that they're usually intelligent and they usually travel in packs. But even individually, they are very strong. They've overpowered anyone who's tried to stop them. They've been attacking both humans and livestock south of the capital in various environments, from mines to forests.

The Boss then put her head down as she took her cigarette to her mouth and inhaled the smoke. She breathed the smoke out slowly as she began to speak again.

Boss: The Jaegers and the Imperial Army are working day in and day out to exterminate them, but their numbers haven't decreased much.

Mine: If they're giving the empire a hard time, then I seriously doubt that this is a trap.

She said as she put her hand on her chin in thought.

Boss: Undoubtably, we're actually HELPING the Empire by taking this job. Can you live with that?

Tatsumi: Absolutely, Boss. After all, this is a special case.

Leone: I just hope we don't run into any Imperial Soldiers while we're near the Capital.

Boss: Hmm? Shouldn't be an issue. After all, we only work while the soldiers are off duty.

Leone: Oh yeah, guess so.

Boss: Any questions? ...No? Then everyone can leave.

Timeskip

Tatsumi and Lubbock have been tasked with scouting out the new Danger Beasts that have been terrorizing the Capital for some time. The two were seen near the side of a mountain while walking on a small and narrow path. Tatsumi was walking up ahead while Lubbock was walking behind him with his hands behind his head.

Lubbock: Man, how did I get paired up with a dude again?

Tatsumi: It's not like we're out here to get some kissy time, ya ding dong.

He said as they both stopped in place.

Lubbock: We should be on the lookout. There might be Imperial Soldiers.

He said as he shifted his head right to left very franticly.

Tatsumi: Why are you acting so jumpy?

Lubbock stopped looking around and just stared at Tatsumi with a blank expression. He then started to march toward Tatsumi with his finger pointed at Tatsumi.

Lubbock: Now, listen here. It's crucial for an assassin to be a little bit paranoid. It helps you stay alert. In fact, Najenda said that herself, thank you very much! You might want to try it too!

He said as he stopped right in front of Tatsumi with his finger right in front of his face.

Tatsumi: ...Wait a minute, I've noticed you doing that before.

Lubbock: Hmm? You noticed what?

Tatsumi: Everyone else just calls her, 'Boss,' but you call her Najenda from time to time. Don't ya, Lubbock?

He said with a smirk.

Lubbock: O-Oh! U-Umm..... Y-Yeah, I g-guess I d-do, huh? W-Well, uhh... Ya see, she and I go way back, all the way back when she was fighting in the Imperial Army.

Lubbock turned around so Tatsumi could see his face as he started talking again.

Lubbock: I was the fourth son of a rich merchant who lived on the country side. I mean, I had all I ever wanted as a kid. I was the best at everything I did, so the world seemed really boring.

Tatsumi: Wow, Lubbock, it seems like you had it really rough.

He said sarcastically.

Lubbock: It's gonna be a tearjerker, okay, so shut up!!! .....So one day, Najenda ends up getting assigned to the town where I live. And, well..... It was love at first sight. So of course, I decided to join the army. I did whatever it took to climb the ranks and get closer to her.

Tatsumi: So if you used to be in the army, then what are you doing in Night Raid?

Lubbock: Everything I've done was to be with her. With Najenda. When she left the Empire, I forged my records to say I was dead so I could go with her. Pretty awesome of me, huh? But anyways, she doesn't feel the same for me. It's unrequited love. Told you it was gonna be a tearjerker.

Tatsumi: Lubbock, aww~ That's so cute~ ...But if you wanna win her love, you have to stop looking at other girls in the hot springs!!!

Lubbock: WHAAAAAT!!! NO!!! I can't stop!!! I can't help myself!!! And besides, checking out hot chicks and being in love are two totally different things!!! What the hell is wrong with you?!?!

Tatsumi: You see?!?! This is why she doesn't love you back!!!

Lubbock: Just you wait, she's gonna come around some day.

Tatsumi just ignored his mumbling and looked around to see any Danger Beasts around the area, but there was nothing.

Tatsumi: I don't see any of those Danger Beasts around anymore. Maybe we should head back and call it a day.

Lubbock: Sure, whatever.

He said, still annoyed.

Timeskip - Tatsumi pov

Me and Akame were currently training in the middle of the woods not far from base. Akame pushed me back right when our two swords came into contact, and to say I was getting irritated was an understatement.

Akame: I understand your frustrations, Tatsumi, but you need to overcome them if you want to get better..... now, again!!

I let out a loud yell as I charged at Akame again. Our swords clashed as I actually wasn't pushed back this time, I managed to push back Akame a little bit as she tried to lure me into a parry, but I already caught onto her doing that so I didn't fall for it. She swung her sword in an overhead hit, but I managed to dodge it. 

I was about to swing my sword at her side, but a loud boom sound went off right next to us and a huge about of dust surrounded the area. Thinking that it was a Teigu user, we readied our weapons to attack whatever was attacking us.

Within a blink of an eye, the man dashed right behind Akame and slammed her into the ground. I then saw that the man run towards me with a blade attacked to his wrist, ready to attack from the side. I blocked the first attack and went to sweep my legs from under him to knock him off balance. He jumped over my leg and he used his blade to sweep up some dirt to my eyes, leaving me temporarily blinded and exposed to an attack.

I wiped my eyes to get the dirt out of my eyes, but before I knew it, a blade was pressed against my neck and I accepted my defeat.

Tatsumi: I ACCEPT MY DEFEAT!!!! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!!!!

Yhwach: An assassin shouldn't readily accept defeat. The moment he steps into battle, he places his life on the line. You should be well aware of that... Tatsumi.

The man said while putting away his blade. 

I knew that voice. I immediately turned around saw Yhwach.

Tatsumi: YHWACH!!!! YOU SON OF A BITCH, YOU SCARED ME TO DEATH!!!!

Akame, who had managed to get back on her feet, sheathed her sword and smirked at me.

Akame: Looks like Yhwach got the drop on you, Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. What are you doing here, Yhwach?

Yhwach: Just checking in on your progress. Training is essential, and complacency can be deadly.

Akame: Well, we appreciate the surprise attack. Keeps us on our toes.

Yhwach: Good. Remember, you can't afford to let your guard down. Now, let's resume our training.

We continued our sparring session, with Yhwach providing valuable insights and guidance. As we trained, he shared stories of his experiences and lessons learned from various battles. The sun began to set, casting a warm glow on the training ground.

Tatsumi: You know, Yhwach, I'm still trying to get used to the whole assassin lifestyle. It's not as easy as it looks.

Yhwach: True, but adaptability is a crucial skill. The ability to change and grow in the face of new challenges is what separates the successful from the defeated.

Akame: Tatsumi, don't be too hard on yourself. You're making progress, and that's what matters.

Tatsumi: Yeah, I guess you're right. It's just a lot to take in.

As Yhwach opened the doors to the balcony, He saw the Boss standing there with a annoyed, yet understanding stare. She nodded at Yhwach and turned to look at the night sky. He walked next to her and slouched himself over the railing that separated me from the 200 foot drop that hit the ground. He looked over at the Boss as she took out a cigarette and lighted it with her lighter. She looked at him and held out a pack of cigarettes in front of him, asking if he wanted one.

Yhwach declined the offer with a subtle shake of his head. The Boss took a drag from her cigarette before speaking.

Boss: You're not much of a smoker, are you?

Yhwach: It's not a habit I've acquired.

Boss: Fair enough. So, what brings you out here?

Yhwach: Just taking a moment to appreciate the night sky. It reminds me of simpler times.

Boss: Good to hear. By the way, how's Tatsumi doing? Training with you should toughen him up.

Yhwach: He's progressing. There's potential in him, but he still has a long way to go.

Boss: As long as he's improving. We can't afford any weak links.

Yhwach: He's determined. I'll make sure he becomes an asset to Night Raid.

Boss: Determination is a good start. I've seen recruits break under pressure. But Tatsumi... he's got something.

Yhwach: A spark. It's not something that can be taught; he either has it or he doesn't.

Boss: You've got a good eye for these things. Makes me wonder what kind of life you had before joining Night Raid.

Yhwach: A life filled with battles and decisions. A path that led me here.

Boss: We've all got our stories, don't we?

Yhwach: Indeed.

Yhwach: What's the history between you two? I've heard you were once a General in the army, occasionally crossing blades with Esdeath. But what else? What transpired between you two?

Boss: .....

She looked away from him. Yhwach waited for a little bit longer to see if she would still respond, but she was silent. Yhwach was about to apologize to her and take his leave, but she looked back at him and spoke up.

Boss: When I was in the Imperial Army, I was known as General Najenda. I was also a former colleague of General Esdeath. We fought many battles together, but she did most of the heavy lifting. One day, we were sent out to take out a group of people called the Ban Tribe. When we got there, I saw innocent women and children that were murdered at the hands of Esdeath and her army. Even the ones who surrendered and bowed before her were killed by her. That was the day I left my post as general and joined the Revolutionary Army. You probably didn't know this, but I was once the owner of Pumpkin before I couldn't fight because of my injuries.

She held out her mechanical arm and pointed at her eye that had the eyepatch over it. Yhwach nodded at her and she put her mechanical arm at her side as she took a cigarette in her mouth again.

Yhwach: What led to those injuries of yours?

She was silent again, but not as long as before.

Boss: After the battle that we had with the Ban Tribe, I convinced my army that we should leave the Imperial Army and head towards the Revolutionary Army to join them. After that, we became targets of Esdeath and her army and were hunted by them. It was on that day that I confronted Esdeath face-to-face. She threw an ice dagger at me, and it hit me in the left eye. And while I was blinded for a second, she made an ice sword and cut off my arm. Somehow, I managed to get away from her, and I was patched up by the Revolution with this mechanical arm and eyepatch. After my injuries, the Revolutionary Army made me the head leader of the newly formed assassination team, Night Raid. I then found Mine and recruited her to wield Pumpkin after me, and you know the rest. So, yeah. That's basically my story.

She said this as she threw her cigarette on the ground and stomped on it.

Yhwach listened attentively to Najenda's story, the weight of her experiences evident in the way she spoke. He could sense the pain and resolve in her words. The night breeze carried a somber tone as they stood on the balcony, overlooking the darkness below.

Yhwach: That's a heavy burden to bear, Najenda.

Najenda: (sighs) War leaves scars that don't always heal. But it also forges bonds among those who survive it.

Yhwach: And here we are, part of Night Raid, a group bound by a shared purpose.

Najenda: Indeed. We may be a collection of misfits, but together, we stand a chance against the corruption that plagues the Empire.

Yhwach: I've faced formidable opponents in my past, but the tales of Night Raid's exploits intrigued me. There's a certain strength that comes from fighting for something more than oneself.

Najenda: (smirks) You've got a philosophical side, Yhwach. Not what I expected from someone who seems so battle-hardened.

Yhwach: Life has a way of teaching lessons beyond the battlefield. And sometimes, battles are fought on different fronts.

Najenda: (nods) True enough. Each of us has a story, and they shape who we are. But, Yhwach, I get the sense that you haven't shared all of your past with us.

Yhwach: (smiles) Observant, as always. There are chapters of my life I've yet to reveal. Some stories are best saved for the right moment.

Najenda: Fair enough. Everyone has their secrets. As long as we can trust each other in battle, that's what matters.

Yhwach: Trust is earned, not given freely. I understand that well.

Najenda: (extends her hand) Then, let's continue to build that trust, Yhwach.

Yhwach shook Najenda's hand firmly, sealing an unspoken pact between them. The night embraced their conversation as they stood side by side, leaders of a group destined to face the shadows cast upon the Empire.
