Chapter 237 Accidental Encounter
The two flirted for a while before Han Xuewei returned to the classroom for her lesson, and Lin Yi to his.
Han Xuewei also got back to her classroom. The afternoon class consisted of outdoor sketching, but since going outside wasn't convenient at the moment, they carried on with it on campus.
There happened to be a park nearby the school, spacious enough for the students to sketch together.

Han Xuewei went along with her classmates. It wasn't far, and she arrived quickly. She really liked this kind of class because it was quite free; once her painting was finished, she could leave.
Han Xuewei chose a quiet spot to sit down, away from the passing crowd. Though people came and went in front, her little corner was quite peaceful. She observed her surroundings.
She had planned to start with the plants, but then she saw a couple sitting on a bench in the park, looking at the children playing in the distance. She found the scene beautiful and hoped to have such a life with Lin Yi one day.
So, she picked up her pencil and started to gently sketch on the blank paper. The tip of her pencil danced across the page, tracing curves that twisted into a beautiful drawing. She soon brought the scene to life.
The sketch featured a couple with several kids frolicking in front. After finishing, Han Xuewei planned to hand in this drawing to the teacher and decided to take the other one home with her.
The other was a casual drawing of children. Han Xuewei was very good at sketching, so she worked quickly. After completing the drawing, she checked her watch and saw that an hour had gone by. They had already spent a lot of time looking for a place to sketch, so it was indeed time to go back.
After packing up her paints and some pens and paper, Han Xuewei slung her bag over her shoulder and walked toward the front. Some classmates had left before her, so there were only a few people around when she stepped out.
All of Han Xuewei's classmates had left, so she walked alone towards the front. On the way, there was an adorably designed kindergarten with several balloons flying above it.
As the bell rang, a group of children ran out to play, their laughter instantly filling the entire kindergarten.
The kindergarten wasn't very big, just one building's space with a courtyard-like area below.
There were many child-friendly structures for the kids to play with. As Han Xuewei walked towards the front, she stopped at the school gate. The children had innocent and cute faces, brimming with smiles as they ran around the grass and various play structures. Their joy was so radiant, and they played with such happiness.
Watching them, a gentle smile spread across Han Xuewei's face. She loved children very much, and seeing them play so happily brightened her mood as well.
At that moment, Teacher Mo approached her. Han Xuewei looked up and saw a figure standing in front of her.
Seeing Teacher Mo, Han Xuewei spoke with some surprise, "Teacher Mo, what a surprise to see you here!"
Hearing Han Xuewei address him as Teacher Mo, Mo Jihua's expression dimmed slightly, but he didn't say much. He just felt that Han Xuewei was becoming more and more estranged from him.
After all, when they were little, the two of them were extremely close, but now Han Xuewei had become a wife, and everything was changing.
At that moment, Mo Jihua just smiled slightly and said, "No, I just came out to buy some groceries and didn't expect to see you here. It's quite a coincidence."
"Yes, I came out for class today. Our teacher organized a group of us students to come out and do sketching. Now that my lesson is finished, I'm about to head back."
Upon hearing this, Mo Jihua just nodded and said, "Is that so? I saw you lingering here for quite a while and didn't have the heart to disturb you. But I thought since I was here, I should definitely greet you. I was afraid I had startled you with my appearance earlier."
Mo Jihua spoke with a hint of apology. Hearing this, Han Xuewei immediately waved her hands dismissively, "That's not at all necessary, Teacher Mo. Seeing these kids now just makes me feel they're so adorable, brimming with vitality and life. Thinking that my child will someday attend kindergarten, I just couldn't help but watch them a bit longer and observe how they would behave in the future."
At these words, Mo Jihua just laughed, "It seems you really like children. I've been following your social media and 'Moments'. Although I've never seen your child, I have seen the photos, and they really are very cute and beautiful, a lot like you."
Han Xuewei was somewhat surprised; she hadn't expected Mo Jihua to follow her social platforms and 'Moments'. She just smiled and replied, "Well, thank you for your attention, Teacher Mo."
After saying this, she scratched her head, possibly thinking she had oversimplified everything. She had always thought her relationship with Mo Jihua was merely a normal friendship, not too much to say childhood sweethearts, from youth to adulthood.
She didn't seem to have other interests beyond that, but after Lin Yi's reminder, she did realize something – that perhaps Mo Jihua's feelings for her were different, not just the simple affection of a boy next door.
Moreover, the fact that he followed her 'Moments' made Han Xuewei feel somewhat embarrassed, but she didn't say anything more and planned to just say goodbye and leave.
Just as the two of them quieted down, a security guard walked toward them from the school gate, frowned when he saw them, and asked, "What are you two doing here? Are you here to pick up a child or to check out the school?"
As he spoke, he observed Han Xuewei and Mo Jihua. After all, this was a kindergarten, and so he naturally assumed they were a couple here to see the school for their child's potential enrollment.
But Han Xuewei immediately shook her head, "No, sir, you've got it wrong."
As she spoke, she attempted to put some distance between herself and Mo Jihua. Meanwhile, the security guard, looking at Mo Jihua and then Han Xuewei, felt they both seemed quite kind-hearted. Thinking that since they were interested in the kindergarten, it would not be a problem to let them in.
After all, they were currently deciding on admissions and indeed needed some promotion. The guard then smiled and said, "If you two don't mind, I can notify the principal to give you a tour. Our facilities here are pretty good, and the educational environment is excellent as well. It's worth considering."
As he spoke, he still regarded Han Xuewei and Mo Jihua as a couple because both their appearance and demeanor seemed very compatible.
