Hades, the god of the underworld in Greek mythology, sat across from a black-haired woman.

This was Nix, the goddess of the night.

They were currently in Greece, in an upscale restaurant, and Hades did not have his previous skeletal appearance but looked like a middle-aged man with a goatee.

"Because he was distracted, Hades does not notice any anomalies in his environment or the space around him until it is too late."

The sound of a book closing sounded off to the side but no one paid attention to it.

Nix began to speak and suddenly, time stopped for a moment before the two of them teleported to an unfamiliar place.

All around them was an endless sea.

Hades frowned and his body exploded, transforming into his skeletal form wrapped in a robe.

His staff appeared in his hand and he looked at Nix with piercing eyes.

"Nix! Are you betraying me now? After having established the alliance of the underworld you now turn against me?"

Hades roared and was about to attack Nix but suddenly, five dark auras exploded in the sea below them.

Nix dissipated into black shadows, moving away from Hades and appearing over Apopihis' head.

"Impossible...these guys are supposed to be dead."

Hades was incredulous at the sight of five dragons that were supposed to have died millennia ago suddenly come back to life.

"Sigh, if only my soul wasn't so weak I would have liked to face that guy head on."

Noah, who was watching the spectacle next to Lena, sighed and lamented.

Hades was an expert on souls and would have immediately noticed how weak his soul was and destroyed it with a single blow.

Using his clone Hades, he easily reached the place where the mother of all demons, Lilith, was sealed.

Looking at the hooded man with two black feathered wings on his back, Noah smiled.

Thanatos, the reaper, glared at Noah with hatred.

He was currently chained by none other than his own mother, Nix.

Although he didn't get along with her, seeing her being used as a mere puppet by a filthy demon infuriated him to no end.

Noah closed the distance between them and a flash of golden light shot from his forehead and penetrated Thanatos'.

"You see, god of death, your law is perfect for carrying out my next plan."

The trueself fought the manifestation of Thanatos' consciousness and after a few minutes, annihilated it before becoming the new central consciousness, controlling Thanatos' body and soul.

Hades also finished drawing the last rune of the matrix.

A huge red pentagram lit up and ran throughout Hades' realm.

Crimson-colored tentacles emerged from the pentagram and clung to the souls wandering the realm.

The souls here could be counted in the hundreds of millions, including the souls that made up Hades' personal army.

The new Thanatos rose and the chains that confined his body were removed.

With a flap of his wings, he appeared in the center of the huge pentagram.

A small ruby began to form in the center of the pentagram, on a blood red altar.

Golden flames erupted from Thanatos' hands and he began to burn the consciousnesses of the various souls that had condensed into this ruby.

Hours and hours passed like this, with Thanatos releasing the flames of will to burn away the residual wills, leaving the souls clean for the crystal to absorb.

It was not until two days later that the last soul was absorbed by the ruby, which had by then grown to a meter in height.

This was the masterpiece dreamed of by all alchemists of this and other worlds, the legendary philosopher's stone.

With the alchemical knowledge Noah obtained from this world he was able to develop a method to create the mythical stone.

The main material was none other than the souls of the dead.

And what better place to gather souls than the realm of Hades, where all the wandering souls that are not collected by the various pantheons go?

Unlike Hades, Nix and other gods, Thanatos was not a god, despite his title.

Natural born gods like Zeus or Hades were born with a divine crystal in their souls that was the source of their divinity and carried their laws. This same divine crystal was what a legendary being had to condense to become a god in Noah's world.

Thanatos, like his ancestors, the titans, was not born with a divine crystal but was born with a Law bloodline, the reaper bloodline. Although his bloodline was not as powerful and only contained 50% of the law of death.

Noah thought of one of the novels he read in his world and how the protagonist of that novel consumed the divine crystals of the gods to enhance his own bloodline and was inspired by that process to finalize Thanatos' reaper bloodline.

"Where am I?"

Noah opened his eyes and looked around but all he saw was a scene of death.

He watched the death process of an insignificant cockroach occur and the death scenes kept changing.

From a humble insect to the death of a planet, a star, a solar system and a galaxy.

Finally, he watched the entire universe slowly die.

So slowly that it seemed an agonizing process to watch.

He didn't know how long he was in this dream, watching the death of everything and he didn't care.
