Crackle!

The sound of boiling oil resembled firecrackers, sharp and relentless. Many in the crowd covered their mouths, unable to bear the sight.

Yet, the figure standing within the cauldron continued to sing boldly as though the searing pain didn't belong to him.

Kaido's gaze darkened as he slowly raised his right hand, his finger resting on the trigger.

He had to admit, this man was among the strongest enemies he had ever faced—someone who forced him to use cunning tactics to claim victory.

Still...

The path to becoming the strongest was filled with complexities.

Someday, when Kaido stood atop the world, all the filth, deceit, and darkness he'd endured would become the light behind him.

"Die now!"

With a long sigh, Kaido pulled the trigger. Though his heartfelt conflicted, he understood that only one could remain standing.

After all, this man had left a scar on Kaido's chest—a mark of their fierce battle.

Kozuki Oden was strong. But strength didn't mean immortality. In the end, Kaido would be the one standing above all others.

Bang!

The gunshot echoed like a bolt of lightning, freezing everyone in place. All eyes turned toward the cauldron.

The figure inside, standing tall moments before, suddenly froze, his body jolting as if struck.

But before anyone could react, their eyes widened in shock.

"Who is that?!"

Somehow, another figure appeared in the boiling oil, standing calmly before Kozuki Oden. His expression was cold, his gaze sharp.

"Who are you?" Oden asked, stunned.

"From this moment on, you are already dead," the man said coldly, turning his head toward Oden.

Before Oden could process what was happening, the stranger grabbed his arm and leapt out of the cauldron.

Thud!

The two landed in an open area, startling the surrounding guards.

"Who is that?!"

Kaido's pupils constricted as he saw the man. There was something eerily familiar about him—as if Kaido had seen that face somewhere before.

The flames burning behind him and his distinctive white hair deepened Kaido's suspicion.

"Is he...?" Kaido turned to look at King. Even King, normally composed, seemed frozen.

"Is that... a Lunarian?"

Kaido narrowed his eyes, gripping his kanabo tightly. He stepped forward, closing in on the intruder.

"Who are you?" Kaido demanded.

The stranger remained silent, his expression as cold as ice. Without answering, he pulled Oden to his feet and began to walk away.

"King!" Kaido roared.

Instantly, flames erupted behind King as he launched himself toward the intruder, attacking without hesitation.

Even King wanted to know if this mysterious man was a member of his race.

Clang!

The stranger drew his sword in fluid motion, slashing at incredible speed.

Whoosh!

The slash was beyond words, a terrifying attack that cleaved the boiling cauldron in two and struck King head-on.

King raised his blade to block, but the impact sent his massive frame flying, smashing through a series of buildings.

Kaido narrowed his eyes as he witnessed the overwhelming power.

Oden, too, was stunned by that single strike's sheer ferocity and skill.

"Roger?!" he muttered in disbelief, recognizing echoes of Gol D. Roger's swordsmanship in the attack.

"Come with me," the stranger said coldly, his voice leaving no room for argument.

Without waiting for a response, he slashed again. This time, the strike targeted the samurai charging toward them.

In an instant, the advancing warriors were cut down. The stranger turned, swinging his blade again to clear the path ahead.

Entire buildings lining the street were split cleanly in half.

"Who is this madman?!"

Kaido's pupils constricted further, rage igniting in his eyes. The stranger's actions were ruthless, showing no regard for innocent lives.

He was like a machine of cold, relentless slaughter, contrasting Oden's righteousness and compassion.

"I can't go with you!" Oden shouted as the stranger pulled him forward.

"You must come with me," the man replied coldly. "It's his command."

"Who gave you that order?" Oden yelled, struggling against the stranger's grip.

The man didn't answer. His movements were impossibly fast, leaping through the streets with Oden in tow.

"Who sent you to rescue me?" Oden demanded.

"I'm not here to save you," the stranger replied icily. "I'm here to bring you back—alive or dead."

Oden felt a chill run down his spine at the man's words. This wasn't a rescue; it was something entirely different.

"Who are you?!"

Before Oden could get an answer, a shadow loomed over them.

Lightning crackled through the sky as Kaido's massive form appeared, rapidly closing in.

"Do you think you can escape me, Kaido?"

"It's Kaido!" Oden cried out.

The stranger remained expressionless, continuing to sprint forward.

Despite dragging Oden's massive 3.82-meter frame, the man moved as if unburdened, his speed undiminished.

"No matter who you are, today you'll burn to ashes alongside Kozuki Oden!"

Kaido glared down from above, his eyes icy cold.

This mysterious figure hadn't revealed anything since their sudden appearance—not even their name.

With frustration mounting, Kaido raised his massive head, the red glow of energy pooling within his dragon's maw.

"Heat Breath!"

A crimson blast erupted from Kaido's mouth, instantly cutting through several kilometers of air, heading straight for Oden and his companion.

"Get out of the way!" Oden shouted.

But the man holding him showed no concern. Instead, he spun around, unsheathing a long blade with a swift, unembellished motion.

Whoom!

The air itself trembled as an unfathomably powerful slash tore through the sky.

To the shock of all, the blazing breath was cleaved in half, its power instantly nullified.

Even more astonishing, the slash didn't dissipate—it surged upward, hurtling toward Kaido.

Kaido narrowly avoided the strike, tilting his dragon head aside.

Flames burned in his furious gaze as he looked down again, only to see the intruder still sprinting, completely ignoring him.

"Damn it! Who are you?!" Kaido roared. "You call yourself strong, but all you do is run?!"

His colossal form snaked through the air, chasing after the stranger with renewed determination.

Meanwhile, Kozuki Oden, still being dragged along, was in utter shock. His mind reeled as he processed the earlier attack.

"Divine Departure?!"

Oden was certain of it. The move the stranger had just performed was unmistakably Roger's Divine Departure.

Yet, without Haki infused, its full power had not been realized.

"Who are you?" Oden shouted, his voice filled with confusion. "And why are you saving me?"

The man glanced back, his cold eyes showing no emotion.

"First authorization gave me the name Zeus. The second authorization designates me as Seraphim Prototype One."

"Prototype... One?" Oden's mind spiralled further into disbelief. "That doesn't sound human at all!"

"I am not human," Zeus replied indifferently. "I am an artificial being."

Oden's jaw dropped, his thoughts spinning as he tried to grasp the meaning of "artificial being." Zeus, however, offered no further explanation.

After running for several minutes, Zeus noticed Kaido was still in pursuit. His brows furrowed, and a glint of cold resolve appeared in his eyes.

Suddenly, he came to an abrupt halt, spinning around to face the monstrous dragon above him.

"Anyone who obstructs my mission will be eliminated."

"Neutralizing target," he said with icy finality.

Blue arcs of electricity flickered in Zeus's eyes, and a reticle seemed to form within his gaze, locking onto Kaido.

Zzzzt!

The sound of crackling electricity filled the air as Zeus's body was enveloped in a dazzling current.

"200 Million Volts: Divine Judgment!"

Zeus's voice was cold and mechanical as a massive bolt of lightning surged from his body, forming a blinding pillar of energy that shot toward Kaido.

The searing column of lightning reached Kaido in the blink of an eye, engulfing the dragon's massive form in a storm of thunder and heat.

"He's so strong!" Oden exclaimed in shock.

Without hesitation, Zeus turned and resumed his escape.

Lightning crackled across his body as he leapt high into the air, instantly transforming into a streak of electricity that disappeared from the Flower Capital's skyline.

From that day forward, both Kozuki Oden and the mysterious Zeus vanished from public view.

"Returning to base," Zeus muttered, his voice calm as ever.

Lightning coursed over his form as he carried the unconscious Oden, flying out of Wano. Within moments, they were gone.

Kaido's search for Oden and Zeus proved fruitless in the Flower Capital.

His fury boiled over, and he slammed his fist onto a nearby table, shattering it into splinters.

"Damn it!" Kaido roared, his bloodshot eyes terrifying everyone around him.

"Who the hell was that?! I'll find him, no matter what!"

His thunderous roar shook the room, leaving his subordinates trembling in fear.

After a tense moment, King broke the silence.

"I've seen that face somewhere before," he said quietly.

"Who?" Kaido demanded, turning to him.

King handed over a newspaper. At its center was a photograph of Arashi, smiling faintly, Marine insignia visible on his shoulder as he addressed the world.

"It's him!" Kaido's pupils constricted in shock, but he quickly shook his head in denial.

"No. That's impossible," Kaido muttered. "He's not that young, and his stature doesn't match. Besides, Arashi isn't Lunarian."

King remained silent, though confusion lingered in his gaze.

"Then who is he?"
