Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Celestial Dragons

"This is what happened: Naval Base No. 66 on Sabaody was completely wiped out, annihilated by Aristo."

"And the reason Aristo is so obsessed with seeking revenge on the Navy is because of his past..."

On the grassy ground near the shattered remains of a warship, three figures sat: Rorschach, Law, and Hibari.

Rorschach recounted everything about Aristo without hiding a thing, telling both Law and Hibari.

After hearing about the brutal events that occurred on Baltirilla Island, Law's expression remained largely unchanged.

As someone who had personally experienced the darkness hidden within the World Government and Navy, Law was already deeply familiar with such truths.

Hibari, however, was different.

As the daughter of a Marine Admiral, Hibari had lived her entire life at Marineford, the headquarters of the Navy.

Innocent and kind by nature, she was beloved by many powerful naval officers.

Even Akainu, the leading figure of the Navy's hawkish faction, did not prevent Sengoku, Garp, and others from doting on her.

Growing up in such an environment, Hibari had never heard of such dark episodes within the Navy.

Now, hearing Rorschach's account, Hibari's first reaction was disbelief—she thought the pirate must be lying.

The Navy represents justice. How could they ever commit such heinous, monstrous acts?

Massacring defenseless women and infants without any means to fight back?

Only demons from hell could do such things.

"This can't be true, right? That avenger, Aristo, must be slandering the Navy, slandering Grandpa Sengoku. Someone as righteous and kind as him could never give such an order."

Hibari couldn't accept it.

She refused to believe it.

"The more polished and pristine something appears on the surface, the more filth lies hidden beneath. Even the Navy, which claims to represent justice, is not entirely pure. Don't forget—the Navy answers to the World Government, the largest organization in the world that serves the Celestial Dragons."

Law removed his shirt, letting Rorschach help him bandage his wounds. He cast a pitying glance at Hibari.

"No! I don't believe it!"

Hibari's face turned pale, her gaze darting about as though her deeply held beliefs were crumbling.

"Don't believe it? Then let me share what happened to me. Of course, you can consider it just a fictional story if that makes it easier."

Clearing his throat, Law began narrating the events that transpired in the Kingdom of Flevance.

Rorschach listened quietly.

"...And that's how it happened. Though the methods were different, what happened in my country and what happened on Baltirilla Island are fundamentally the same. That is..."

Law raised a single finger, pointing to the sky as he spoke slowly and deliberately:

"In the eyes of certain high-ranking rulers, the lives of ordinary people are worthless. Perhaps even less than ants—easily crushed at will."

He turned to glance at Rorschach, who was silently bandaging his last wound. "If I didn't have a shred of faith in you, I wouldn't have joined the Navy in the first place. Rorschach, I hope you can change this disgusting... fate."

Rorschach finished tying off the bandage and looked seriously at Law.

"I can't do it alone. I need your help. I need the help of many."

"Since I'm already on this 'pirate ship,' I'll do my part."

Law turned his head slightly, speaking in his usual detached tone.

By this point, Hibari, who had been sitting opposite them, was already in tears, sobbing uncontrollably.

Her shoulders trembled, and her face was unnaturally pale.

For the first time, hearing about the Navy's dark side from someone else's mouth severely shook her faith in the Navy's adherence to justice.

Especially because the ones speaking were Rorschach and Law.

"Foolish girl, humans themselves have both good and evil. How could an institution as vast as the Navy be perfect?"

"It's precisely because of its dark side that we need to keep striving to change it, to build a Navy that is more orderly and firmly committed to justice."

Rorschach placed his large hand on Hibari's head.

"Will you join me, Hibari? Let's change this world together."

His voice was gentle yet hoarse, carrying a firm resolve.

Hibari slowly raised her head, tears still clinging to her eyes. Her lips trembled as she asked, "Change the world? Big Brother Rorschach... can we really do that? I... I'm so weak."

"No one is born strong. As long as we keep working hard, I believe that one day we can shake this decayed, rotten world."

Rorschach extended his hand toward her. "Come and help me."

"Alright!"

Hibari's eyes reddened as she pressed her lips together and placed her right hand in Rorschach's.

"Law."

Rorschach called out.

"Huh?"

Law turned his head and saw the silver-haired boy's azure blue eyes reigniting with a blazing light.

He also noticed the two hands extended toward him.

Law's mouth twitched.

"Childish… so childish."

He looked away.

"Law!"

Rorschach raised his voice.

"I told you it's childish, you idiot."

Reluctantly, Law extended his right hand.

The three palms stacked together, and the heavy emotions Rorschach had been suppressing instantly dissipated.

He took a deep breath, ready to ask Hibari when Lieutenant Commander Tina would be arriving at Sabaody.

But just then, his expression suddenly changed, his brow furrowing tightly.

Noticing the shift on his face, both Law and Hibari turned to him.

"What's wrong?"

Rorschach 's demeanor grew colder as his gaze shifted toward the distant forest.

"The Celestial Dragons… they've arrived."

"Celestial Dragons?"

Law's expression immediately turned icy as well.

Hibari frowned.

She had heard of the Celestial Dragons.

How could she not, when someone like Garp, who constantly called the Celestial Dragons garbage, was part of Navy headquarters?

In all of Marineford, only Garp dared to insult the Celestial Dragons, calling them trash whenever he felt like it.

Not even Sengoku could do anything about him in this regard.

The Celestial Dragons—so-called World Nobles.

They were the ones the World Government, the largest governing body in the world, served.

Claiming to be gods, they lived atop the Red Line in the holy land of Mary Geoise.

At the gates of the World Government's 69th station.

On the wide avenue, a crimson carpet was laid out, and elegantly dressed crowds knelt on either side of it.

These nobles and wealthy merchants, who were usually arrogant and high-ranking, now had their heads pressed to the ground, not daring to even breathe loudly.

Even though the men and women walking on the red carpet, with spherical bubbles over their heads, couldn't see their expressions, the nobles and merchants wore obsequious, flattering looks and behaved with utmost reverence.

"We, the officials of the World Government's 69th region, greet Saint Rosward, Saint Charlos, and Lady Shalria."

From within the gates of the station, a large group of bureaucrats in suits rushed out, immediately kneeling before the three Celestial Dragons.

"Enough. We're here to buy slaves. The ones at home are boring, and we want a fresh batch. Quickly, take us to Auction House No. 1."

Saint Rosward, with his bubble-encased head, heart-shaped hairstyle, black sunglasses, and thick beard, spoke impatiently.

Dressed in a long white robe adorned with numerous medals, holding a cane in his hand, he sat cross-legged on the back of a muscular slave.

The leading official wore a troubled expression. "Saint Rosward, the auction house isn't open today. It will reopen tomorrow…"

"What did you say? Do those lowly merchants expect the great Celestial Dragons to wait until tomorrow? Have the auction house open immediately, or I'll have an admiral flatten it!"
