One Piece - Life Choice Ask Me to Kiss Marine Goddes Hina

Chapter 158: 158 First Empire War, Unreliable Ally

"The wind rises, the clouds fly, and the warriors guard the four directions."

Standing atop the empire's highest peak, Lynch gazed over the imperial capital, inspired to recite Emperor Gaozu of Han's "Great Wind Song."

"The breeze is gentle, the sun just right—perfect weather for a battle," he added with a faint smile.

Behind him stood the empire's elite forces: Tsunade, Shikamaru, Ino, Mark, Iron Punishment, Kujaku, Yakushi Kabuto, Chōji, Kakashi, Robin, Hina, Uchiha Mikoto…

Behind them stood hundreds of Devil Fruit users and the nine Rear Admiral giants.

Through Marine insiders, Lynch learned that the World Government had sent several Admiral-level forces to kill him quickly.

If the World Government launches a full-scale war on West Blue and he can't hold the line alone, these forces will play a crucial role, helping Lynch fend off all Admiral-level enemies.

But against Admiral-level power, they could do little.

To an Admiral, anyone below is just an ant.

Still, they stood by him unwaveringly.

For their loyalty, he had to drive back these enemies.

Lynch glanced toward a spot in the capital, feeling a hint of relief.

Admirals coming wasn't all bad—it meant fewer kingdom soldiers would lose their lives.

When the sun rose above the head, three figures appeared on the horizon

Though there were only three, their presence felt as overwhelming as an army closing in.

It was Admiral Kizaru, Admiral Aokiji, and Ex-Admiral Fast.

"They're here."

"Anyone without the strength to keep up, stay back. You'll only be a burden." Lynch's figure flashed, appearing in the middle of the sea.

Quickly, the others followed.

Kakashi combined his Earth Style with the Earth Fruit to create a huge landscape, dozens of kilometers wide, in the middle of the sea—an arena for the coming battle, far from the imperial capital to keep it safe from destruction.

As Kakashi finished, he collapsed to the ground, drenched in sweat.

Without the Earth Fruit, creating an island this size would've been impossible for him.

The girl beside him, who had eaten the Healing Fruit, extended her small hand to restore Kakashi's strength.

Lynch, ignoring Kakashi's exhaustion, turned to the three approaching figures and smiled.

"Everyone, Welcome to West Blue, my territory."

"Hey~ we meet again, Brother Lynch. Didn't expect we'd be on opposite sides this time," Kizaru said, giving Lynch a knowing look.

Lynch immediately caught on—Kizaru was ready to play the role of a "reluctant enemy."

"Ah la la~ don't expect me to hold back," Aokiji said, slowly taking his hands out of his pockets.

Fast glanced at his two "teammates" and couldn't help but feel they were far from reliable allies.

Still, Fast trusted the Five Elders' plan and sneered at Lynch, "Laugh all you want—today's the day you die!"

"I'll handle Lynch. You two can finish off the rest quickly," he instructed Kizaru and Aokiji, eager to settle his grudge from last time.

"Sure."

"No objections, go ahead," they replied nonchalantly.

Seeing their indifferent expressions, Fast's eye twitched with irritation.

With such lazy teammates, Fast felt the urge to hit them.

Why were they so casual? Did they have no respect for him, a senior Marine?

The younger generation was becoming more and more frustrating!

"Lynch, die!"

Fast shouted as he transformed into a gust of wind, quickly wrapping around Lynch and appearing nearby.

"Bad wind!" he exclaimed.

Suddenly, a powerful wind surged from Fast's palm, creating blade-like gusts that slashed at Lynch, leaving deep scars on his body.

Although there was a lot of damage, it didn't heal quickly.

"Old man, you should take better care of yourself as you get older!" Lynch said.

In order for a Logia user to launch an attack, they first need to withdraw from their natural state and take on a semi-natural or physical form.

Seeing the moment when Fast transformed from elemental to human form, Lynch rushed forward, grabbed his head, and slammed it into the ground.

There was a loud "boom" as half of Fast's body smashed into the ground, kicking up his legs straight and creating a large pit that measured 20 meters across.

"It's so scary~ That looks painful just looking at it."

Hina and the others looked at Kizaru warily, but he seemed more interested in watching the fight.

"He was hiding his strength in the Marines. We need to re-analyze it"

Aokiji didn't know who he was talking to.

"What? You want me to help Fast? No, he won't let us help."

"You deserve to die!"

Fast thought his head might crack as he felt blood trickle from his mouth, scraped by the gravel.

Using a powerful gust of wind, he blew Lynch away and stood up, only to see Kizaru and Aokiji still watching the fight.

He really wanted to leave Lynch alone and beat these two guys first.

"You two, why aren't you fighting?" Fast nearly roared in frustration.

"You're the one who charges first. You're such an impatient old man,"

Aokiji replied lazily, almost making Fast choke on his anger.

He was fighting hard in front while these two just stood behind, watching. Did they really think he was impatient?

Fast suddenly realized that these two weren't just spies.

As soon as Fast finished speaking, Kizaru and Aokiji sprang into action.

This battle wasn't just about the fighters in plain view; there were countless hidden eyes watching them closely.

Delaying for even one minute was already the limit for Kizaru and Aokiji, and it would be an exaggeration to say they hadn't acted yet.

Though there were many familiar faces below, the presence of someone watching them made it impossible to hold back.

If Hina, Robin, and the others weren't strong enough, they could really be killed.

If it weren't for Garp and Zephyr, Aokiji and Lynch wouldn't even be considered friends.

Kizaru's friendship with Lynch wasn't strong enough for him to face serious consequences for his sake.

"Little monsters, be careful, I'm coming~"

Kizaru raised his long legs teasingly, and bright flashes of light gathered on his legs, becoming brighter and brighter.

He squinted his eyes to look for a powerful target below.

This won't work; it's too weak and definitely can't withstand my kick.

This one doesn't work either. It's a new face I haven't seen before and doesn't seem strong.

The Haki in that body is too weak to defend.

Kizaru glanced around and found that no one below seemed to be able to resist his kick.

This made Kizaru a little nervous. He couldn't act with someone watching him secretly. He looked serious but actually kicked the person out lightly.

If he really kicked Lynch's wife to death, wouldn't that kid chase him, would he?

Kizaru searched the air with his legs for a suitable target but found none.

He had no choice but to keep charging his ultimate move, causing the energy in his legs to grow stronger.

Now, even the Vice Admirals were afraid they might get kicked to death, and his words changed to:

"I'm coming~"

"Here I go~"

"Coming~"

"Yo~Tom!"
