Chapter 54: 054 Return To Marine Headquarter
[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for winning – Jiraiya's Peeping Telescope]
[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for winning – Naruto's Frog Wallet.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for winning – Hinata's bath towel.]
The rewards became more and more absurd, and Lynch couldn't take it anymore.
"What the hell is this?" he muttered. Only one draw remained.
[Ding! Congratulations to the Host for winning – Naruto Ninja Training System]
[Ding! From now on, the Host can practice ninjutsu obtained from the Naruto world]
"What?"
After Lynch received the news, he immediately activated the Great fireball ninjutsu he had obtained earlier.
There is good news and bad news.
The good news is, he can unleash the Great Fireball ninjutsu
The Chakra required for release is replaced by his mental energy and physical strength.
The bad news is the Great Fireball is no more powerful than a sneeze.
His hands almost cramped trying to form the seal.
Lynch concluded that this ninjutsu was not meant for ordinary humans.
After all, ninjas start learning seals at a young age and practice them for over ten or twenty years.
Only with years of practice can the speed of sealing be compressed into seconds.
By the time Lynch slowly formed the seal, the enemy would already be gone.
He figured that instead of practicing seals, he'd be better off training in Conqueror's Haki or something like that.
He estimated that 99% of ninjutsu would feel like scratching an itch, making it useless to learn.
Finally, he came to a conclusion:
Either he could be like Hashirama, clapping his hands and summoning whatever he wanted, or he should just forget it.
…
In the blink of an eye, another week passed.
Seeing things in the kingdom on track, Lynch felt relieved.
It was time for him to come back.
Hina, Momousagi-san, and Tom didn't know what was going on.
He had to return to the Marine headquarters to handle matters.
"While I'm away, the kingdom is entrusted to you two. Yakushi Kabuto is still young, so please take care of him,"
Before leaving, Lynch called Shikamaru and Robin and gave instructions.
"What, are you leaving?"
Robin looked at Lynch reluctantly.
"Fool, it's not like I won't come back," Lynch said, touching her head.
"Stay here and wait for me."
"Okay, but come back soon"
…
After giving his instructions, Lynch set out to sea alone early the next morning.
He transformed into a sun candle dozens of meters high and flew toward the Grand Line.
At the astonishing speed of sun candle, he arrived at Marine headquarters from West Blue in less than half a month.
…
Taking advantage of the darkness, Lynch returned to his adult form and knocked on the door of his post.
"Who are you? Why are you coming to the Marine Base in the middle of the night?"
The guard, instantly alert, drew his flintlock and pointed it at Lynch.
Gradually, the guard felt something was wrong.
Why did the person in front of him look so familiar?
"Are you... Vice Admiral Lynch?"
"It's me."
The guard's hand holding the gun trembled.
"Ghost!" he suddenly shouted and ran away.
In the middle of the night, someone the Marines had thought dead for months quietly appeared in front of him, which was a bit scary.
Lynch's face darkened. He stretched out his hand, pulled the escaping man back, and said angrily:
"Take a good look. Am I a human or a ghost?"
The guard rubbed his eyes, saw Lynch's shadow, and cautiously asked
"You're not dead?"
"Of course i'm not dead! Now go inform the superior quickly."
"Yes, sir," the guard said, trotting inside.
Half an hour later,
In the conference room, Garp laughed loudly and slapped Sengoku's thigh.
"See? I told you this kid is like a cockroach; he won't die."
Although Vice Admirals Tsuru and Zephyr didn't speak, the raised corners of their mouths showed they were in a good mood.
"Bastard Garp, I almost lost all feeling in my legs from your slaps!"
After yelling at Garp, Sengoku turned his attention back to Lynch.
"It's a miracle. How did you survive in that situation? Kizaru said even the island you fought on was destroyed."
"Good luck. I drifted to a small island and survived, spending the next few days recovering from my injuries."
"By the way, Fleet Admiral, you won't withdraw my rank as Vice Admiral just because I'm alive, right?"
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Sengoku's face straightened.
"We at the Marines will never forget your contributions. Forget about one Vice Admiral, I'll give you two Vice Admirals."
"Okay, don't go back on your word. Help me promote Sister Gion to Vice Admiral," Lynch said, seizing the opportunity.
A Vice Admiral's rights are much greater than those of a Rear Admiral. If you don't want them, don't take them.
"OK!"
Seeing Sengoku gritting his teeth and agreeing, Garp gloated, "That's what you get for speaking quickly and showing off."
Hearing that Lynch didn't forget to seek a promotion for Gion, Vice Admiral Tsuru looked at Lynch approvingly.
Nice guy
"Then...can I go back now?"
Lynch asked. Hina and Gion were still waiting, and he couldn't wait to return.
"Get out of here, get out of here. We old guys are still going to fight in the middle of the night," Sengoku waved him off.
Back home,
Lynch quietly opened the door.
In the darkness, something suddenly pounced on him, licking his face with its tongue.
"Okay, okay, Tom, you're about to lick my face off," Lynch said, holding Tom down and tickling him until he rolled over with laughter.
Tom got up, bared his big teeth in a grin, and kept circling around Lynch, unable to stop smiling.
"Okay, okay, I'm back alive. Go to bed. I'll go see Hina and the others."
After patting Tom's head, Lynch quietly walked into Hina's room.
Feeling his way in the dark, he got into Hina's bed.
"Uh-huh, Gion-san, you're here again," Hina murmured seductively, turning to hug him.
"Who are you!"
As soon as she hugged him, Hina immediately noticed something was wrong the body and punched him hard.
"Is this how you welcome your man home?"
Lynch smiled, grabbing Hina's wrist.
Fortunately, he was in good health; anyone else might have been seriously hurt by her punch.
"Lynch."
Hina was stunned and suddenly fell into Lynch's arms, tears falling down.
"Uuuuuu~ That's great, you're still alive. Where have you been these days?"
Lynch gently stroked Hina's back and hugged her tightly. "There, there, stop crying. See? I'm back, alive and well."
Hina sobbed and stopped crying. Her big watery eyes looked at Lynch. "You shouldn't have disappeared suddenly. I was really worried about you."
"I swear, I won't do it again."
"Look at you, you've turned into a little cat from crying. You're not pretty when you're crying."
Tom: "Meow meow?"
Lynch coaxed and teased her for a while before turning Hina's tears into laughter.
"You should also go see Sister Gion. She must be worried about you too."
Though Hina was reluctant to leave Lynch, she didn't forget about her good friend.
