Walking into Nami and Nojiko's room, Roja noticed how sparse it was. The walls were bare, and only a few scattered maps lay on the floor.

"You like sailing?" Roja asked with a gentle smile.

Nami nodded vigorously, her eyes shining with determination. "I love it! My dream is to chart every sea and create maps of the entire world!"

Roja looked at the energetic girl before him and thought, So she already had her dream back then.

"Then you must work hard," Roja encouraged. "Pursue your dream, but remember, in this world where the strong prevail and the weak are crushed, strength is just as important as ambition."

"I understand! I'll do my best, Roja!" Nami said earnestly.

As they spoke, the sound of approaching footsteps interrupted them. The heavy steps and muffled voices outside the door were unmistakable.

Arlong and Captain Nezumi stood outside, their faces twisted with malice as they approached the small house.

"Those two brats, Nami and Nojiko, really have guts!" Nezumi hissed. "They dared to expose me in front of that White Dove Admiral!"

Before they even entered, Nezumi's shrill voice shouted, "Nami! Nojiko! You'll pay for this insolence!"

Hearing Nezumi's voice, both girls instinctively moved closer to Roja, their fear evident.

"It's fine," Roja said softly, his calm voice soothing their nerves. He picked up a pen lying on the table and walked to the door.

Outside, Arlong snarled, "Why waste time talking? Just kick the door down already!"

The door burst open with a loud crash, flying straight toward Roja.

"Is this your way of knocking?" Roja said, a slight smirk on his face as he gripped the pen firmly in his hand.

In an instant, the air changed. The overwhelming presence of a master swordsman filled the room as Roja slashed with the pen, releasing a terrifying arc of sword energy. The crescent-shaped slash tore through the air, cutting the door cleanly in two as it continued forward.

The attack grazed Nezumi and Arlong, leaving shallow cuts on their cheeks. Both men froze in place, their faces pale.

Nezumi was the first to break the silence. "A-Admiral Roja?! But—but you left! I saw you leave the port myself!"

His voice trembled, and his knees buckled as he tried to comprehend the impossible.

Roja's cold gaze pierced him. "If I hadn't pretended to leave, how else could I catch rats like you?"

Arlong's expression darkened as realization dawned. "Damn it, Nezumi! You lied to me! You said he was gone!" His rage turned toward the trembling marine captain.

Nezumi collapsed to his knees and began groveling. "It wasn't me! It was him!" he wailed, pointing at Arlong. "He forced me to cooperate! I swear I wanted to be a good marine!"

"A good marine?!" Nami shouted, stepping out from behind Roja. Her eyes burned with fury. "Is exploiting innocent villagers and murdering those who can't pay your idea of being a good person?!"

Nezumi's gaze flicked to Nami, and a sinister glint flashed in his eyes. Without warning, he lunged toward her, hoping to take her hostage.

But before he could reach her, Roja's pen moved again. In a flash, Nezumi's head was separated from his body. The marine captain collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

"Are you scared?" Roja asked, glancing back at the two girls.

"No!" Nami said, gripping Nojiko's hand tightly. Though her voice was firm, her trembling hands betrayed her fear. Yet she knew that in this world, fear was a hurdle she had to overcome to achieve her dreams.

Roja turned his attention to Arlong. "I'm curious," he began, "as a former slave who escaped Mary Geoise, why didn't you follow Fisher Tiger? What brought you to the East Blue instead?"

Hearing Fisher Tiger's name, Arlong's eyes blazed with hatred. "Don't you dare speak that name!" he roared. "That fool wanted to coexist peacefully with humans! Fishmen are superior! We are stronger, faster, better in every way! Humans should serve us, not the other way around!"

"Stronger?" Roja said with a wry smile. "Can you beat me, then?"

Arlong's pride was pricked. "Don't think just because you're a marine admiral that I'll bow to you! I'll kill you and make a meal out of those two girls behind you!"

With that, Arlong launched himself forward, his muscles bulging as he propelled his body like a torpedo. His jagged nose aimed straight for Roja's heart, intending to end the fight in one blow.

But before Arlong could strike, Roja raised his arm, now coated in Armament Haki. With a flick of his wrist, he caught Arlong's nose mid-charge and crushed it effortlessly in his grasp.

The sound of splintering bone filled the air, followed by Arlong's screams of agony. Roja hurled him into the air, his movements fluid and precise, as if choreographed.

Arlong spiraled upward, clutching his shattered nose, his thoughts racing in panic.

How can this human be so powerful?!

His pride as a fishman shattered alongside his nose. "Damn it!" he screamed, his voice breaking under the weight of his defeat.
