Chapter 150: Chapter 150: The Slayer
Luffy closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly.
Countless waves resonated in his mind, expanding outward in circles, reconstructing the world around him. Even with his eyes closed, he could perceive everything.
Incredible, I'm starting to understand everything—
His heart beat like a war drum, pumping blood through his entire body, filling him with an unstoppable energy. This vigor was born from humanity's pursuit and yearning for beauty.
It was a desire for beauty.
Luffy opened his eyes, his gaze fixed on the woman emerging from the bath.
Scarlet lips, collarbones deep enough to cradle water, a blend of golden waves and white strands giving her an air of wicked allure.
This woman knew she was dangerous and reveled in her own charm, presenting her beauty boldly to the world. Her body basked in the sunlight, her skin gleaming like polished ivory.
As she rose, the sun cast a radiant halo behind her, gently caressing her piratical figure.
She was a goddess.
A divine goddess…
Luffy's gaze remained unbroken.
At this moment, his memories surged, and his mind wandered, floating through an endless world, as if guided by a blue bird soaring across the internet.
"A Marine flag, yet only children on board. That's quite peculiar," the goddess remarked, stroking her golden hair as she leaned over the edge of the bath, addressing the kids below.
She then held up a newspaper.
"A strange crew like this… I've heard of it. The Pirate Executioner, the Slayer, Marine's Little Hero—are you him?"
The female pirate asked, her red eyes glinting in Luffy's vision.
"…"
Everyone on the ship was stunned by the pirate woman's boldness.
Bellemere was the first to react, pointing at the woman and shouting, "Shameless!"
"Shameless!" Nami echoed.
"Shameless!" Nojiko added.
"H!" Uta stammered.
Realizing what was happening, Bellemere quickly covered the girls' eyes, then thought better of it and tried to cover Luffy's eyes instead. "Luffy, don't look!"
The girls instinctively glanced at Luffy, only to see him staring intently, with Uta noticing something unusual—his shorts were… raised.
She knew what was beneath, but why it was raised was new to her. It hadn't looked like this before.
Snapping back to his senses, Luffy grabbed his sword with one hand and stepped onto the ship's bow, leaping toward the pirate's vessel.
"Moo Moo, let's go!"
Luffy, somewhat dazed, jumped without his usual Eagle Dive, feeling a bit awkward as he shouted.
Moo Moo popped its head up, looking at Luffy in confusion. "Moo?"
The pirates on the woman's ship soon noticed the massive sea beast lurking beneath the Marine vessel.
"Be careful, or that sea monster might flip our ship!"
The pirates watched the woman with a mix of casual glances and furtive admiration, clearly having built up a certain tolerance to her charm, able to work while occasionally stealing glances.
"Hey, hey, look! That kid…"
The pirates noticed Luffy jumping over and called out to their crewmates, pointing at his pants.
They burst into laughter, exchanging knowing glances and chuckles, muttering, "Not bad, kid. Around this age, that's pretty normal…"
Overwhelmed by embarrassment, Luffy swung his sword mechanically, pale arcs of energy sweeping through the pirates.
Shame turned to anger and then a boiling urge to kill.
Why should I be ridiculed by a bunch of pirates? These weaklings, I'll just kill them all!
It's just a normal reaction, nothing to laugh at!
Strong willpower suppressed his embarrassment. Facing troublesome situations was all about shifting perspectives.
Straightening up, Luffy cut down dozens of lackeys with ease.
There's nothing shameful about my body!
The child's formidable strength quickly wiped the smirks off the pirates' faces, and the bold postures they'd held began to falter.
"What's with this kid?" muttered a pirate, watching his blade shatter. The world seemed to tilt as he collapsed, realizing he'd already been sliced in half.
"W-we're no match for him! Run!" one pirate stammered.
A ten-meter-long slash cut through him.
"This is… exhilarating," Luffy muttered, raising his sword high, his expression twisted with bloodlust.
"Worthless… worthless scum…"
"Enough, you brat!"
A portly, round pirate, as massive as a pig, stood before Luffy. Despite his size, he moved with surprising speed, his thick layers of fat bouncing as he leaped toward Luffy.
But the King Sword met him before he could land.
This was Pig Jack, a pirate officer, who threw a spiked ball, attempting a ranged attack against Luffy.
It was pointless. People die when they're killed, especially when they willingly approach the blade.
Luffy tilted his head slightly to dodge the spiked ball, then struck.
At the bow, the woman from the bath laughed at Bellemere's insults, casting a mocking gaze at the women and girls on the Marine ship.
She laughed openly, lounging at the edge, her beautiful legs still glistening from the bathwater as she leaned on her arm, tilting herself at a casual 45 degrees, sunlight creating a soft halo behind her.
"You have potential, but showing off like that is a bit terrifying."
"You shameless old hag! Just because you're in shape doesn't mean you have to flaunt it!" Bellemere shouted, enraged.
"You vile woman!"
Bang!
Ordinarily, a musket shot from two hundred meters away would lose its accuracy, with the bullet veering off unpredictably. But Bellemere's shot hit its mark.
The lead bullet sank into the female pirate's chest, leaving a dent.
"Could it be…"
"You hit me, but unfortunately for you, I'm a Glue-Glue Fruit user, a 'sticky human.' My body is liquid; swords and bullets don't work on me."
The pirate woman reached into her own chest and casually extracted the lead bullet.
"What's the rush? That boy on your ship seems very interested in a beautiful woman like me. Should I… give him a bit of an education?"
Facing them directly, the woman had observed the changes in Luffy's body with keen interest.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Luffy will cut you down!" Uta shouted, hands on her hips.
"Yeah, watch out! Luffy's going to kill you!" Nami added.
"That voice… it's unusually pleasant. I feel like I've heard it somewhere…"
The female pirate looked at Uta, recognizing her voice.
"Sweetheart Queen… a Devil Fruit user," Bellemere's face darkened.
It wasn't just because the woman was a Devil Fruit user. It was because, despite her powers, she ranked only as second-in-command.
That meant the captain, Big Bear King, was an even more terrifying figure—likely an even more powerful Devil Fruit user.
Two Devil Fruit users… no wonder the Navy struggled to deal with monsters like this.
"You're Uta, aren't you?"
Sweetheart Queen's face lit up in recognition. Clapping her hands, she smiled. "Well, well, I never thought Uta would be such a cute girl. I've heard your songs on music boxes—they're beautiful. I'm quite a fan."
"Huh?"
The revelation left Uta stunned.
Who would have thought that a powerful pirate who commanded hundreds or even thousands would be her fan?
"Do you know why you're blockading Clockwork Island?" The quick-thinking Uta asked.
"Well, Big Bear King wants to break into the Grand Line. He found this island and plans to have the island's artisans build a giant cannon and other weapons for him. He's hoping to use them in a showdown with the Krieg Pirates, planning to absorb their forces and steal their Grand Line map…"
As she spoke, Sweetheart Queen crossed her legs and ran her fingers through her golden hair.
"You actually answered!" Bellemere couldn't hide her surprise.
"Why wouldn't I? We're pirates, after all," Sweetheart Queen chuckled.
"A pirate's job is to loot treasure. And besides, Clockwork Island has so many traps that Big Bear King hasn't managed to break through. He's holding the island's people hostage by cutting off their contact with the outside world, trying to pressure them into submission."
"It sounds like you're not having much luck," Bellemere relaxed slightly.
She didn't want to imagine the horrors that would ensue if the pirates broke through and reached the townspeople.
"It's only because Big Bear King needs valuable people on the island. Otherwise, slaughtering them would have been no issue."
Sweetheart Queen replied calmly.
"If all we wanted was treasure, the traps on this island wouldn't stand a chance against us."
"Please, don't do this, big sister. Help us defeat Big Bear King instead," Uta softened her voice, speaking gently.
"That's a lovely voice, but I must refuse." Sweetheart Queen raised a hand to her lips, smeared with lipstick.
"I gave you information only because I don't believe you can change anything. We have thousands of men. Even if an entire Marine base mobilized, they wouldn't be able to stop us. Sometimes knowing too much only brings pain…"
She gave Uta a sly smile. "Now, Miss Uta, come with me to Clockwork Island. I'd love to hear you sing in person—much more than on a music box."
"No!" Uta rejected her outright. "If you truly appreciate my music, then you'd know I'm a songstress who seeks happiness. What you're doing goes against that. You're no true fan of mine!"
"Your innocence is so adorable, like a little princess untouched by the world."
Sweetheart Queen made a heart shape with her hands, her eyes twinkling. "I'm growing fonder of you by the minute…"
Then, with a glint in her eye, she declared, "Pirates take what they desire directly!"
Her long, slender legs propelled her into the air.
Her arms transformed into sticky, glue-like liquid, forming a waterfall of adhesive aimed at the Marine ship.
Bellemere fired multiple shots, but the bullets vanished into the goo without effect.
Despair washed over her, until a flash of steel and a blaze of fire cut through the glue, disrupting Sweetheart Queen's control. Sensing danger, she backflipped, landing gracefully back in her bath, a hand touching her lips.
"Ah, the little hero…"
Sweetheart Queen touched her lips, smelling blood, her pale jade fingertips stained red.
I'm… injured? How is that possible?
Sweetheart Queen was in shock. As a Devil Fruit user, she had long since become immune to blades and bullets, her body transformed into a liquid state.
Years of domination over the East Blue had made her forget what it meant to be hurt.
Why is it so quiet…?
The answer was already before her.
Luffy stood with his sword, surrounded by a pool of blood and corpses. Though small, he held himself with a swaggering confidence.
"Good afternoon, beautiful lady."
The boy smiled at her. "You're not allowed to harm my songstress. That's non-negotiable."
Blood dripped from his sword, splattering in the crimson pool below with a steady rhythm.
Sweetheart Queen felt a chill creep up her spine, her heartbeat quickening.
"So, this is the legendary Slayer… he's already killed everyone on the ship?"
"They were too weak. Cutting them down was effortless."
Luffy replied calmly.
"…"
What is with this kid? He's just a child, yet he's so nonchalant about killing so many?
I can't continue this fight… Pig Jack is dead, too. Continuing would only put me at a disadvantage.
Sweetheart Queen hesitated, biting her lip, tasting the blood. This boy… he'd managed to injure her with a sword…
Was it the sword? Or was it him…?
Is there Seastone in that blade?
Her thoughts raced as she observed Luffy's body, trying to steady herself. "It must be painful, dealing with those physical changes. Aren't you uncomfortable?"
"Put down your weapon, and I'll teach you some interesting things."
"Really? A goddess like you?"
Dragging his sword along the deck, Luffy took slow, deliberate steps toward Sweetheart Queen, his boots squelching in the blood.
The tip of his sword scraped the deck with a grating sound. "Honestly, cutting down a beautiful goddess like you with a sword… it feels wrong."
"I appreciate beautiful things—flowers, birds, beauties. I treasure them all."
Luffy stepped into the bath.
The blood washed away in the pool's clear water.
Sweetheart Queen gripped the edge of the bath, her knuckles white.
An unshakable dread clung to her heart; Luffy's actions had been too overwhelming.
He had walked down from a mountain of corpses, his boots soaked in blood, standing defiantly before her, his body radiating a primal intensity.
The boy's hand traced her face, stopping at her collarbone.
So, he's reacting to my body?
Good…
Sweetheart Queen's face blossomed with a smile, innocent as an eighteen-year-old girl, p
ouring her charm into her gaze. She wrapped her arms around his waist, her voice sweet as a bell.
One arm turned to sticky liquid and slipped toward the deck's cracks, while her other hand pressed against Luffy's chest, undoing his buttons.
The scent of roses filled the air.
