One World Apart

Chapter 1: Prologue [M]

What does it mean to play games well?

To be at the top of the leaderboard? Have a good win rate? Play professionally?

In my eyes, none of these are correct.

I believe, that playing video games well, means that you are able to troll every game you play, intentionally of course.

And I was in the midst of doing just that, with my best friend.

Although I was just thirteen years old, I have been reported so many times I lost count, and not just in one game.

I honestly don't know why, I was just having some fun...

Hearing people yell at me when I accidentally start dancing behind the enemy, then dying, is candy to my ears.

Picking a support character to play against bruisers is sooo fun, especially when you almost kill the enemy, then die, and then nine more times.

I always knew that I would somehow repent for my sins, and it seems like the time has come.

I was just about to get in bed, when suddenly my head started throbbing. It was unlike anything I have ever been through before. The excruciating pain I felt in my whole body was unreal, and I soon blacked out.

The next time I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by emptiness, with no light or sound. Looking forward, I saw a something in the shape of an egg that glowed in the dark. Walking towards it, I reach my hand out to try to touch it, but before I made contact, a trapdoor underneath by feet swings open, and I began falling.
