Water Breathing First Form: Water Surface Slash!

I rotate my foot, twisted my body and use both of my arms to cut the threads that were surrounding me. I manage to cut the thread diagonally.

(I managed to cut his threads..but my blade is chipped a little from the strike. I need to end him fast, I don't think my blade will last till the end.)

"ARRGRR!! DIE! DIE! YOU SERVERED MY BOND WITH MY FAMILY!! MY BOND WITH THEM ARE BROKEN BECAUSE OF YOU" he yelled and unleashed multiple threads cover in his blood at me.

(Fuck! I need to go all out from the start or else I don't think I'll be alive for long. I need to wait until I find an opening in his movements and then I'll switch to thunder breathing and strike!)

I run around him with his threads following me. I duck under the first, jumped over the second and swirled between the openings of his threads. But they manage to scratch my legs, cheeks and ears.

I moved in a zig zag pattern between the trees to slow down his threads, but they cut down the trees like they were made of paper.

(This isn't going anywhere; my stamina will eventually run out and I'll be killed but what should I do.... I have a plan but it's really risky. One wrong move and I'll die. Clam my nerves, breathe and do it!)

"Wait!! If you want, I can give you a new bond. This bond that will be better than your previous family!" I shouted, hoping that he'll hear me.

The threads stopped in their tracks, and I heard " What did you say? A bond stronger than the others..."

Thunder breathing First Form: Thunderclap and Flash Twofold!

I use thunder breathing to jumped across to a tree that was facing the demon while cutting the threads in my way and launches myself at him using that tree as a steppingstone.

"Wha...YOU BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU LIE ABOUT BONDS! I WON'T FORGIVE YOU! BLOOD DEMON ART: Cutting Thread Rotation!" he became more furious and create a rotating wheel of web and throw it at me.

(Shit! I can't stop myself midway. I won't be able to dodge it this time! Darm it even if it kills me, I'll at least take this bastard to hell with me!)

I changed my katana grip and stance in the air midway before meeting the rotating wheel of threads and use my first self-made form!

Thunder breathing self-made second form: Thunder Drill!

I spin my body in the air forming a drill like shape and cut through the threads that is blocking my path but some of the lose threads managed to cut my face, back and left leg.

After coming out of the other side of the wheel, I rolled toward lower moon five and without using my breathing styles, I span my body as I was getting up to make it seems like I was going to cut his neck. But new threads come out from his body, ready to trap and slice me.

(I GOT YOU NOW YOU BASTARD. I WON'T FORGIVE ANYONE WHO LIE TO ME ABOUT BONDS!)

"Heh" I snickered as I took out 2 smoke bombs, throw it toward the ground, slipped out of my red coat and used it as a distraction. Multiple threads slice and tear apart my coat, but I jumped between the threads, moved behind him and changed my breathing to water breathing and used

Water breathing Sixth Form: Whirlpool!

But because my left leg was injured, I only managed to slice 3/4 of his neck with my blade stuck in his neck.

(Darm it! I slipped my footing and missed a perfect chance to kill him! Then I'll just do THIS!) I immediately took out my kunai and use it like a hammer to get my sword moving.

"ARRGGGGGGGGGG! I WILL KILL YOU!" the demon shouted with all of his strength while moving his threads toward the both of us, ready to slice us apart.

"I won't let you kill meeeeee!" I strike the back of the katana with all my strength.

And with a final strike my katana breaks as I finally managed to cut his neck off. But the threads he moved with the last of his strength cut my back.

"Argg! Shit that hurt!"

(I breathed in some of the smoke from the smoke bomb, I have to get the smoke from my lungs first.)

I sit down on the ground and started using my breathing to slow down my blood loss. I looked at the full moon while waiting for someone to arrive. After a while I notice a sound from the trees and tensed up but relaxed when I heard her voice.

"Is the fight already over, too bad.... ara, hello. Nice to meet you again Ren-san. It's a lovely night is it not?"

"It's not. At least it wasn't until I meet you." I turned around to answer her. (Fuck, was that cringe?)

"Fufufufu, what a charmer. Now, how about we get you fixed up." she jumped from the tree onto the ground net to me and took out a medical box. She started applying some kind of medicine on my back and after that she bandaged me up.

"There, that should be enough. You should be fine in about a month." she said and a couple of Kakushi come out from the forest.

"Lady Kocho, should we take him to the butterfly mansion?"

"Yes, please do."

"There's no sign of demons around here." said Giyu Tomioka as he came out of the forest.

A couple of kakushi carried me and took off from the mountain without waiting for Shinobu nor Giyu. And I fell asleep because of my fatigue on the way to the Demon slayer corps HQ.

"Arrgg, Shut up!" I yelled while waking up and yawned.

Tch! "Hey, show some respect. You are in the present of the Hashiras."

"Hun?" I looked up and saw seven Hashiras.

"Nice to meet you again Ren!" said Rengoku with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too, Rengoku-san. How are you doing?"

"Ahahaha, it's not a big deal. I'm sure you could defeat it way faster and easier than me."

"Hahahaha, well that is true but encountering a lower moon within a few weeks after becoming a demon slayer, I don't know if that's lucky or unlucky" he said while nodding his head.

"Well, it kinda just happen..." I scratched the back of my head.

"Oi, you two. Stop ignoring me! Especially you, how dare you ignore someone as flashy as me."

"Now, now we shouldn't fight in front of Oyakata-sama house."

"Hey, Shinobu, are you taking his side!"

Just then a door opened and came out Kagaya Ubuyashiki with his children.

"Oyakata-sama has arrived."

"Wha..." Tengen quickly grab my head and force me to bow by pressing me with the ground.

"Good afternoon, everyone. The wind is splendid today. It pleases me that we've made it to our biannual meeting without any personnel changes. But sadly, Iguro and Sanemi won't be here until tonight because of some issues. Now, I summoned Ren Kosuke. Is he here?"

"Yes, Oyakata-sama." said Shinobu while bowing with the rest of the Hashiras.

"Now Ren-san, I wanted to ask you about how you knew about the lower moon being on M.t Natagumo while being the first to go there." He asked.

(Shit! I didn't think this through! Just talk with half-truths.)

I slapped away Tangen's hand, raise my head from the ground, bow on one knee and answered with a serious face.

"The answer to that question is that I didn't fully know. I felt a sense of dread and fear and my instincts screamed at me to not go there without preparations. So, that is why I risked my position in the demon slayer crop."

"Because if I didn't guarantee it with something to show you that I'm serious, there was a slight chance that you might not have send the Hashira. And I might've lost my life." I nervously waited for a reply, hoping that he didn't notice the holes in my story.

"I see. Well, I'm glad you've survived against a lower moon but the next time you shouldn't do this kind of thing. If you're not sure of something, then investigate first before making a report. The Hashiras are very busy. They might not be able to reach to you on time."

"But congratulations on killing a Lower Moon. For now, you should rest well and train harder in the future so that you'll become strong so that you can survive without relying on others, until then this'll be all."

"In that case, allow me to take him into the butterfly mansion." said Shinobu after raising her hand.

"Very well." Kagaya Ubuyashiki nodded. Shinobu clapped her hands.

A Kakushi come from the side of the mansion, bowed to Kagaya and the Hashiras before carrying me on his back as we headed to the butterfly mansion.
