Pampered by the School Bully

Chapter 4: 3. Ruthless Valley's Valley Master!

Pu Sangzhi was truly scared!

She had been pondering all day long, every break between classes was spent listening to her deskmate Yao Meimei telling her about the terrifying background of Huo Feng.

Eventually, Pu Sangzhi's already shaky sense of safety... crumbled!

She feared an immediate beating after school today more than any later retaliation.

Therefore, Pu Sangzhi made the boldest decision possible with her anxious heart—she sought help from her homeroom teacher!

Her homeroom teacher, Huo Mingshan, was a very responsible teacher and one whom Pu Sangzhi respected a great deal.

It's no exaggeration to say that Pu Sangzhi chose to attend Longxiang High School—which had a lower admission score—over the high-scoring Ruizhong was largely because of her homeroom teacher.

Thus, when she was out of options, Pu Sangzhi was willing to risk it all and place her only hope on her teacher!

"Reporting,"

she knocked and opened the door to the teacher's office, took a deep breath, interlaced her fingers in front of her, and approached their class homeroom teacher.

"Sangzhi,"

noticing Pu Sangzhi entering, Huo Mingshan immediately stopped sorting files, turned his head, and warmly greeted her, "What brings you here suddenly? Is there something you need from the teacher?"

"Teacher... can you help me, please?"

Pu Sangzhi gently bit her lip, her slightly reddened eyes lifting to look at Huo Mingshan.

She didn't sit down, instead carefully standing, her small oval face clearly showing a look of 'grievance.'

Huo Mingshan became immediately tense, "What's wrong? Is there trouble at home? Should I call your mother?"

Pu Sangzhi shook her head, "No, Teacher."

Huo Mingshan breathed a sigh of relief, then slowly consoled her, "Then what happened? Don't rush, take your time and tell me, I will see justice done for you."

"Teacher... I... I don't know how to say this."

Pu Sangzhi pursed her lips, hesitating, unsure of how to begin.

Huo Mingshan pulled up a chair, looking at her with kind and caring eyes, "You sit down first, gather your thoughts, and then speak slowly."

Pu Sangzhi slowly took a seat, and then Huo Mingshan reached for a box of candies, opened it and offered it to her, "Have a candy, calm down. I'm here, you can tell me any difficulties you are facing."

Pu Sangzhi took a candy, held it in her hand, the rustling of the candy wrapper under her fingers being the only sound as she finally began, "Teacher, I've been... warned by someone."

Huo Mingshan furrowed his brows, "Is it a classmate from our class?"

"No."

Pu Sangzhi shook her head, "It's... Huo Feng from Class 7."

"...!"

Suddenly, Huo Mingshan's amiable face... cracked!

"Teacher, I've never provoked him, and I don't know him."

Pu Sangzhi quickly explained to avoid any misunderstanding that she might be associating with bad students, "I don't know why he suddenly approached me. He told me to go to the North Gate Grove after school... and said if I didn't, I'd have to bear the consequences."

"My deskmate told me he's a student with a bad reputation. He warns people, he hits people..."

"I'm really scared. School has already ended, and I'm too scared to meet him... Teacher, what should I do?"

Pu Sangzhi kept twisting the candy in her hand, the rustling sound unceasing.

Meanwhile, from an angle Pu Sangzhi hadn't noticed, Huo Mingshan's tightly clenched fist was making a 'crackling' noise,

and on his calm and composed face, veins were subtly twitching, a surge of anger hiding under his kindly expression.

Pu Sangzhi didn't know that Huo Feng was Huo Mingshan's own son.

Nor did she realize that, at that moment, Huo Mingshan's mind was filled with a continual rush of violent thoughts,

thinking it was his good-for-nothing son bullying a classmate right under his nose, Huo Mingshan wanted to chop Huo Feng with a knife!

But...

"It's alright, Sangzhi."

Huo Mingshan relaxed his face and smiled gently, extending his hand to pat Pu Sangzhi's shoulder, "Go back to the dorm without worry. I will handle this matter."

"Teacher..."

Pu Sangzhi wanted to ask how he planned to resolve the issue.

But before she could ask, Huo Mingshan assured her directly, "Don't be afraid. Ignore such a bad student. If he dares bother you again, tell me."

He won't survive the next time!

Pu Sangzhi was slightly bewildered.

She hadn't expected that her homeroom teacher, who she had been agonizing over all day, would react so naturally.

Could it be that the teacher was already accustomed to dealing with campus violence?

"Teacher, what should I do then?" Pu Sangzhi asked.

Huo Mingshan patted her shoulder and said, "You go back to the dorm first. I'll take care of the North Gate Grove."

"Ah?"

Pu Sangzhi was startled, "Teacher, is that okay? Shouldn't we go together?"

"There's no need." I can beat him to a pulp by myself.

"Teacher..."

"Listen to me, go back to the dorm first. Don't think too much, and don't bother with such poor students. With the teacher here, nothing will go wrong, go back now..."

At this moment, Huo Mingshan could no longer suppress the urge to thrash that brat, so he stood up and shooed Pu Sangzhi out with a mix of coaxing and rushing.

After sending Pu Sangzhi off in a friendly manner, the next moment, Huo Mingshan's kind face had already contorted into something ghostly!

Huo Mingshan walked over to the storage box and bent down, rummaging around.

Teacher Zheng Qiu, from the same office, walked past him and couldn't help asking, "Huo Teacher, didn't you say you were going to the North Gate? What are you looking for?"

Huo Mingshan: "A stick."

Zheng Qiu: "..."

...

At this point, school had been out for twenty minutes already.

The North Gate Grove was always secluded, with few students passing by.

That day, because Huo Feng and a gang of hoodlums had taken over, there were even fewer students passing through.

Huo Feng was preparing to confess his feelings and had cleared the area specially for the occasion.

He had his cronies keep watch nearby, chasing away anyone who might be a nuisance, leaving the grove so quiet that only the sporadic rustling of leaves under Huo Feng's feet could be heard.

Huo Feng had prepared two essential confession props—chocolates and a love letter.

He stood with his hands behind his back, the items placed behind him. His white shirt made his upper body look slender and graceful, and his pale, clean face had the spirited and refreshing air of a young man.

Huo Feng was quite the heartthrob, his face among the more handsome and pleasant-looking in a sea of men's faces.

He stood there alone, tall and well-proportioned, looking as handsome as a painting.

"Actually, Feng is really quite something. If it were just about looks, ordinary people couldn't reject Feng," Pan Bo said.

"Just not sure if Pu Sangzhi cares about looks. If she cares about grades instead, then Feng is definitely out of luck."

"It's been twenty minutes already, I reckon she doesn't plan to show up at all."

From a distance, Huo Feng's lackeys were chatting and laughing, discussing Huo Feng thoroughly.

This was Huo Feng's first confession in his life, and his brothers couldn't miss it; thus, they all voluntarily stayed to watch the anticipated drama.

However, after another five minutes passed, it wasn't Pu Sangzhi who arrived, but the Valley Master of Ruthless Valley!

"You brat!"

Huo Mingshan had silently appeared behind Pan Bo and his group of kids. With a bellow, he tightened everyone's backs in fright.

When they turned around, Huo Mingshan's gloomy face was enough to send the group of young guys trembling, and Gu Yang fell to the ground.

"Division... chief..."

"Uncle... hello there..."

"Hello there, you rascals causing trouble again! Not studying, only up to no good all the time!"

Huo Mingshan was so angry that his whiskers bristled and eyes widened as he pointed at each one of them, "Where's Huo Feng! Call him out to me! Don't even think of protecting him! If anyone dares to talk about brotherhood in front of me..."

"Over there!"

Ten brothers, without exception, pointed their fingers behind them.

Just right, Huo Feng, who had been about to sneak away alone, was caught red-handed by ten pointing fingers... his whereabouts were blatantly exposed!

Huo Mingshan: "Huo Feng! You little rascal!"

Huo Feng: "Damn..." His own boys betrayed him!
