Chapter 9: chapter 9
Chapter 9 - Do You Want to Become a Vampire? Part 2
Huitzilin's Point of View
"Mother, do you want eternal life and strength to do whatever you want?" Honestly, I felt embarrassed saying such a phrase. Why did I phrase it like that? I looked and saw that my mother still had a shocked and confused expression. So, I explained in detail.
"After my father died, I had a wake-up call. I knew that you or anyone I loved could die at any moment. So, I decided to research my condition and find a way to replicate it. After much trial and error, I finally found a way to transform normal humans into something like me. They won't be as powerful as me, but they would be much stronger than a normal human. I call them vampires. They'll have superhuman strength, agility, senses, enhanced body manipulation, and much more. A highly skilled and powerful vampire can even create elements like fire and ice from their bodies (AN: I arrived at this conclusion because of DIO using the Vaporization Freezing Technique). This species also does not age and has near-immortality."
I noticed my mother's expression changed from confused to shocked to awe, and greed sparked in her eyes. Before she could make her decision, I decided to drop a bomb on her.
"Before you make a decision, as no being is perfect, vampires also have weaknesses. The first is sunlight. If you come into contact with sunlight or anything that mimics sunlight, you will be instantly burned. The next is that you need human blood to survive," I said, waiting for her reaction, as this information would decide if she wanted to become a vampire.
A hint of distaste flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly masked.
'Maybe she realized that she, a HUMAN, belonging to a HUMAN tribe that regularly sacrificed other HUMANS and also had the habit of drinking their blood, wasn't so different.'
After a brief silence, she responded, "Give me some time." I accepted it, as it was a big change. She needed to think things through.
'Only someone with a wrong head or an idiot will readily accept.'
Before leaving, I said one last thing, "I'm not an incarnation of God. So don't call me that."
'Maybe I am an incarnation of God, because it was ROB who gave me this power.'
Soon, I left home and entered the forest to do some training. Since my teacher also died with my father, I need to train on my own. I wasn't very interested in getting a new teacher. Most people don't enter these forests because they harbor many types of wildlife. There are many dangerous plants, venomous snakes, and dangerous wild animals. Many jaguars also roam these forests. The Chalca tribe considers the jaguar as a spiritual animal of their God Tezcatlipoca. So, they abhor hunting jaguars. Funny enough, the skin of jaguars is used for some of their warriors.
As dusk approached, the forest seemed even darker than it already was. Using my night vision, I searched for any suitable prey. Suddenly, I heard the sound of something running. I used my senses to predict the direction it went and moved in that direction on guard. I moved through several overgrown trees. The area around here was very humid. It was quite uncomfortable. Soon, I saw a lake that had a calm surface. I knew the prey was here somewhere, but I couldn't pinpoint its location. After standing there for a while, I walked past the lake when suddenly I heard a loud noise of water and a black shadow rushing towards me. Using my heightened senses, I dodged in front just in time. But still, its powerful jaws grazed my hands. Suddenly, I was hit by a wave of pain.
"Argh, damn it," it was when I saw my arms. A large chunk of my flesh was now in its mouth. I looked at the black figure in front of me. It was a large feline with toned muscles. It had some spots on its skin that were hard to see due to its black color. It was a black jaguar. Its legs arched backward as if it was going to attack me again. I raised my guard. The veins of my arms extended as they stuck to the other half of my arm. Soon, I pulled it back and put my arm back. He was quite confused because his food suddenly disappeared from his mouth and was now back in my hand. He lunged with his open jaw hoping to get a good piece of my flesh again. I dodged to the side and punched him in the side, making him fly. He fell on a tree and screamed miserably. But soon he got up and regained his balance as he looked at me vigilantly. The moonlight barely shone through the forest illuminating the inner area. The jaguar circled me as it hid in the darkness again. Jaguars were predators that hunted their prey by hiding. Due to their strong jaws, they kill their prey on the first try by tearing their spine and brain. They always hunt prey larger than themselves. Using the darkness as cover, he jumped from a tree to attack me by surprise, but I already saw through him even in the darkness. He was without any defense in the air when I retreated a punch. Suddenly, with a strong will to live, he twisted his body in the air and aimed at my neck. But a bone protruded from my neck and was aiming at his skull. But I didn't kill him because I held him by the neck. He was whimpering and struggling to break free. He even showed his fangs and threatened me.
"Haha, do you want to live?" I asked knowing I wouldn't get an answer.
"I don't know why, but when I see you, I have no intention of killing you. I've killed humans without hesitation, but I don't know why I can't kill you," I rambled to him in confusion and melancholy.
I released my grip on the jaguar as he ran deeper into the forest to save his precious life. I left the forest and went home because my body and mind were aching for a good sleep. I was depressed and I don't know why.
