Pleasure Series #1: Pleasure to Love You

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Dhaxzy's POV

"Where are you going!?" I flinched when I heard a loud voice coming from my back. It was so powerful that it made me tremble.

I turned around while my head was looking at the ground. I slowly looked up and saw my uncle holding a bottle of beer. It was almost bottle down; he sipped the remaining alcohol in the bottle before he threw it outside.

"I'm going to school." I bravely answered his question. I do not want to be in here or stay in this house that gives me horror every day. I want to fly with my wings, but they keep plucking those feathers I have.

He sluggishly approached me, but I kept on stepping backwards. I knew what he would do if I did not move. He raised his hand, readying himself to smack me and throw a punch onto my face, like he did last week before I went to school. I was waiting for his fist to collide with my cheeks, but I felt nothing but heard a loud cry. It was Gried, my nephew, faking his cry.

He smiled when he saw me and got the attention of my uncle. When my uncle turned around to check who was crying, I took it as an advantage to get away from this cruel house. This house is suffocating me. I sighed as I finally went away and could not see even the smallest detail of that house.

I walked, and I walked as fast as I could. Ms. Selen will be mad at me once again. I hit my forehead as I finally reached the main gate of the university. This university is named Plead. I have been studying here for five years, yet I don't have any idea who the owner of this university is. It was nice in the university; the faculty members treat me like their son, but the students are all not easy to handle or friendly.

"You're late again, Convel." I looked down to avoid Ms. Selen's eyes.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Selen; my auntie wants me to be absent, and I just sneaked out." I pouted. As always, they don't want me to have a life that I think I deserve to have.

"That's okay. Go get your things and go to your respective class." I nodded. Good thing Ms. Selen knew what my situation was. She stands as my mother since she always understands my story. I sighed and smiled at her.

Another boring day in school. Actually, I don't need to go to school. I am a fast learner; I can teach myself, but I insist on going to school just to stay away from my aunt and uncle. I looked up at the sky, and it looked like those clouds were forming a picture of my mom and dad.

"I miss you. Can I come there?" I asked and bitterly smiled.

I hoped I could, but I couldn't. If I were to end my life, then I won't go to heaven. I don't want to perform an immortal sin.

I arrived at my class, and all of their eyes settled on me. Of course, I am the so-called loser nerd. They'll talk to me just to bully, command, and demand that I answer those tasks that our professors have given us.

I sat on my chair and stared at the window. I didn't give a glance to any of them. I am not in the mood to play a victim. I saw them walking towards me, but they stopped when Ms. Selen went inside.

"Dhaxzy, we will talk later at your break time." I could see how strict her eyes were, but she just does that for them to think that she will lecture me.

I nodded my head as a response. Ms. Selen started her lesson.

"Okay, class, I told you to study the lesson about the forms of business, right?" Ms. Selen said.

"Ma'am, you didn't," Lez denied, one of the bullies. He is the leader of the bullies in this classroom. He always chooses me to be his target. I do not know why, but it is okay for me. I do not need such people.

"Ow, really?" She pulled out her phone and clicked the play button.

"Okay, class, please study the forms of business, and we will have a recitation tomorrow." It was recorded.

"Anything to say, Mr. Lez?" Ms. Selen was being sarcastic.

He shook his head, and everyone started to bite their lips. I shook my head and waited for her to call my name. Frankly, I'm too lazy to put my hands up.

"Business. What is business?" She asked as an opening for this recitation. "It refers to the organized effort and activities of individuals. This can also help our economy grow and become rich."

"Lea, what is a single proprietorship?" Ms. Selen asked while sitting on her chair.

"Ahm, ma'am, it is one owner only," Lea answered—not the answer that Ms. Selen was expecting in this class.

"Try to elaborate more," said Ms. Selen. "You guys are in class A. Are you all expecting me to accept that nonsense and brief answer?" she stated.

"It is adopted by those small business entities. The owner of this form is only one, but the owner can hire some workers to help," Lea explained.

"What's the advantage of this form of business, Mr. Lez?"

"Ahm, none?" Everyone chuckled except me. I have no time to laugh at him.

"Really? Why would you build up this kind of business if this form has no advantage? Think!" She shouted.

"Ahh, he can have all of those profits from his business," Lez responded.

"How many times do I have to tell you all that I want an answer by answering the question why?" All of them gulped. Again, except me. "Proceed to why."

"The owner can have all those profits from his business because that form of business has no stakeholders or shareholders to invade the business." Lez finished his answer and sat.

I can see that Ms. Selen was smiling like she won a jackpot in a lottery. I started to feel bored with this organization subject. I secretly yawned and bowed my head to sleep.

Maybe I'm asleep, but I could still know what is happening outside of my dream. In short, I am half awake.

"Okay, one of the advantages of this is that it is easy to form, and all of those decisions were from the owner. Just like Lez said, there's no stakeholder or shareholder to invade your business," she explained.

"Now we will move on, partnership. What is this all about? It is all 'bout those two people or more who owned a particular business. There's an article of partnership; it outlines the details of those agreements between those people who decided to be partners." She elaborated.

"Ma'am, may I go out? I need to pee." It was a friend of mine, Mier.

"Yeah, sure. Just come back when you're finally done. And Mr. Mier, don't think to go to the cafeteria once again." She agreed, but linking to another idea, she knew that Mier would come to the cafeteria to chill and relax.

I was peacefully sleeping while listening when a hand grabbed mine.

"Ah, ma'am, can he go with me?" My eyes were still sleepy.

"Why? Do you need him to pull down your pants and help you to pee?" Ms. Selen became sarcastic, and everyone laughed.

"No, the door's lock wasn't functioning well. I'm just afraid that someone will see my... bird." Mier scratched his nape.

I shook my head and went out with him. He was really a boredom-saver.

"Mier, I'm hungry." I sulked.

"You're always hungry. I'll feed you. Let's go." He pulled me, and of course, I let him.

We arrived at the cafeteria. I pulled back my hands and looked at Mier.

"This cafeteria is right in front of the discipline office. Do you want them to put us in detention?" I rolled my eyes, and he patted my head.

"What's with those roll eyes, shorty?" I glared at him and pinched him.

"I'm not shorty, ugly Mier." I tsked and sighed.

"Oh, so who had a height of 158 cm? Do you know who had it?" I sighed as a sign of defeat.

"Whatever. Just go and buy me some drinks and a sandwich; I want mine with tomatoes," I demanded.

"Yes, shorty highness." I shook my head and waited for him on the outside.

He went inside, and I just sat down on the bench near the door of the cafeteria. I sighed out of sadness.

I met Mier accidentally. I was being bullied by Lez and his group, but thankfully, he saved me. Since then, he has become my friend, and we spend almost a lot of my time together. I never feel bored when I am with him. How I wish to become his very own brother.

His family treats me well. They were always welcoming me when I needed to sleep there. Because of them, I felt alive; I felt love, even for a short time. I smiled and looked up to face the sky.

"Mom, dad, thanks 'cause you gave me a great friend." I chuckled, and I felt someone hit my head.

"Wake up!" Yeah, right. It was my friend, Mier.

"What's with that? So mean." I rubbed my head to lessen the pain.

"It's your fault; I almost lost my voice just to wake you up." He gave my orders. "What were you thinking? The brain's flying, huh?" He sipped on his drink.

"I was just thinking, Why did I do it to have a friend like you?" I smiled at him, and he looked proud.

"I'll take that as a compliment." I cut him off.

"To have a friend like you, you're so mean and brutal," I finished. I giggled when he slowly lost his smile.

He was about to open his mouth, but the bell rang. I looked around and saw those students from the other building getting ready for the upcoming orientation. It makes me bored since I already memorize the agenda that will be tackled in that event. I do not want to waste my time at that event; I just want to go to my comfort place.

"Tsk. Time for the boring orientation." I sighed and stood up.

"Are you sure? You look bored," Mier stated. He knew that I wasn't interested in the orientation, but I have nothing to do but attend.

"Do I have a choice?" I asked him while he was tidying up those droplets from his drink. He is indeed a troublemaker and a messy person.

"Well, we can go to your comfort place. It will be more relaxing than listening to those topics for freshmen," he stated. "Additionally, why does everyone need to attend? They should implement that orientation limited to freshmen and to those students who will graduate at the end of the school year," he added. I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

"Mier, may I remind you that this will be our last year at this university since we will graduate two or three months from now?" I explained to him. Well, technically, he's right. Every year, they will hold an orientation to introduce the school to those freshmen.

"Oh, yeah, you are right. I totally forgot about that," he said while scratching his nape.

"And also, do you already know those topics that will be discussed in the event? And also, how sure are you that your name will be listed among those students who will graduate, huh?" I rolled my eyes and scoffed.

"Hey! Take that back!" He shouted from my back. I covered both of my ears to prevent hearing his further rants.

"Blah blah blah... I do not hear anything. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Hmm," I stated before I removed my hands from my ear. I hummed and weakly smiled at him.

"Okay, fine. But I will make sure that I will sit beside you and receive my diploma. And the credit is to you since you will help me reach that goal of mine." He chuckled, and I sighed. I knew that he would say that. What do I expect from this stubborn friend that I have?

I am still wondering why I have him, but honestly, he is the only person that I am comfortable with, except Gried. I feel safe when he's around. He may be crazy, but he protects me from the bullies in here.

We decided to not go back to the classroom and go straight towards the studio, where the orientation will be held. He just kept on bugging and nagging, almost ranting about those things that happened to him this morning before he went to school. We were peacefully walking towards the stadium when a loud voice gathered my attention.

"Dhaxzy!" Someone called my name.
