Faced with Misty's question, Horsea nodded slightly, confirming her suspicions.
After the Sea Hotel was built, the local Tentacool lost their natural habitat, leading them to attack and destroy ships out of desperation. Horsea, with its kind-hearted nature, often tried to warn humans of impending danger.
Most people had little connection to Nastina's plans, but they were also unaware of what the "Black Seahorse" signal truly meant. Even if they understood, few would choose to intervene. However, Misty and her friends were different. After learning about the situation, Horsea took it upon itself to find Tentacool and their leader.
Horsea explained the situation to the Tentacool, including the red-haired boy's involvement in the destruction of the Sea Hotel. Pokémon hearts are simple and straightforward. Tentacool, while known for their fierce nature, typically act aggressively only when their territory is invaded.
As Ekans once said on the giant Pokémon island, Pokémon are not inherently good or bad—they simply follow their instincts and habits. This is true for all Pokémon, from Spearow to Gyarados. Their personalities and behaviors are shaped by their nature, not malice.
After hearing Horsea's words and learning that someone was willing to help, they gathered all of the tentacool, leading to the overwhelming scene now unfolding.
"Thank you, Horsea!" Misty said warmly, holding Horsea tightly in her arms. She was deeply moved by its efforts to help the Tentacool and resolve the conflict.
"Darn it! These annoying jellyfish dare to cause trouble! Bring me the things I prepared, now!" Na barked, her fear of the swarm of Tentacool around the yacht fueling her anger.
To Nastina, the Tentacool were the sole cause of the chaos. Following her orders, the bodyguard quickly fetched a sealed wooden barrel.
"This is three cups of vinegar, specially prepared to deal with jellyfish. Hurry up and throw it in, now!" she commanded.
"Yes, ma'am!" The bodyguard obeyed without question, hurling the barrel into the midst of the Tentacool.
*Splash!*
The wooden barrel hit a central Tentacool and burst open, releasing its contents into the water. Instantly, the affected Tentacool began to glow with an intense light.
"Huh? What's happening, Nastina?" someone exclaimed as the light drew everyone's attention. The Tentacool scattered, and the glowing figure at the center of the light began to grow larger and larger.
Ash frowned in exasperation. "Using a method meant for ordinary jellyfish on Tentacool? That's ridiculous! Tentacool are 99% water, and the other 1% is toxins. This isn't going to solve anything—it'll only make things worse."
The figure in the glowing water continued to grow, soon towering over Nastina's yacht. Its immense size was far beyond anything they'd anticipated.
When the light finally faded, a massive form emerged. Its head was an irregular blue triangle, adorned with two enormous red agate-like gemstones on either side. Another gemstone, as large as a human head, gleamed from its forehead.
It was a colossal **Tentacruel**.
The Tentacruel's head was lowered into its pitch-black body, which featured two massive, glass-like protrusions on the front. From its body extended countless long tentacles, and a blue spike with barbs pointed menacingly both forward and backward.
This was Tentacruel—the evolved form of Tentacool. But this Tentacruel's appearance was unlike any ordinary one.
Typically, a Tentacruel stands at about 1.6 meters tall, with tentacles that can stretch over two meters in length. Yet, this particular Tentacruel dwarfed the yacht entirely, its size utterly monstrous.
"So... that's a Tentacruel?" Misty muttered, her voice trembling.
"This... This size is unbelievable!!" Brock stammered, staring in awe at the behemoth.
"Three cups? Three hundred cups wouldn't be enough, Grandma!" Someone exclaimed, horrified by the sheer scale of the creature.
Suddenly, Tentacruel's gaze locked onto Nastina's yacht. Its eyes glinted coldly as it raised a massive tentacle high into the air. Then, with incredible force, it brought the tentacle crashing down.
*BOOM!!!*
The tentacle struck the yacht with the precision of a blade, splitting it cleanly in two. The vessel shattered into countless pieces that scattered across the water's surface, and everyone on board was hurled into the sea by the impact.
As the remnants of the yacht floated aimlessly, Nastina and her entourage struggled in the water. Witnessing this display of raw power, the surrounding trainers froze, paralyzed by fear. Meanwhile, Tentacruel turned its attention to the shore, its gaze falling on Horsea, then shifting to Ash and his friends.
Originally, the Tentacool and Tentacruel had intended to retaliate against humans, ready to attack en masse. However, Horsea's intervention had made them reconsider. Horsea's plea revealed to them that not all humans acted selfishly or out of greed. This realization made them postpone their planned attack on the docks.
Ash looked at the terrified trainers nearby. "What if Tentacruel and the others attacked the pier? Do you think any of us could stop them?" he asked, his voice sharp.
The trainers exchanged uneasy glances, their faces pale with embarrassment. Many of them looked down, ashamed of their inability to act.
Tentacruel issued a deep, resonant growl. From the ocean's depths, hordes of Tentacool emerged, responding to their leader's call. They swarmed the remnants of the Sea Hotel, encircling it before launching a unified attack. Within moments, the already-damaged structure crumbled entirely, collapsing under the onslaught.
"Ahhh!! You vile jellyfish! How dare you destroy my dream! I'll never forgive you!" Nastina shrieked, her eyes wild with rage. She clung to a piece of yacht debris as she floated toward the shore.
Hearing her furious cries, Tentacruel lowered its head, its glowing eyes fixating on her. Nastina froze, a look of panic spreading across her face.
*D!!!!*
With a single swing of its massive tentacle, Tentacruel sent Nastina flying through the air. She let out an indignant scream as she disappeared from view, her protests drowned out by the crashing waves.
