Pokemon: Behold the Father of All Pokemons

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Loaning 100 Million Yuan Is Not A Big Problem

"Shocking News! Timmy, one of the many newly developed bioengineered creatures from Pokémon Biotechnology Company has evolved on the spot at the New Century Pet Show!"

"A magical genetic creature: Pichu transformed in front of a live audience, becoming a Pikachu!"

"Spirit dog defeated! The new species, Pikachu, used Thunderbolt to turn the spirit dog into a barbecue!"

"Surprise! The spirit dog, meant to impress with its power, was outshone by a newly evolved Pikachu!"

"A fantastic battle, speed-type genetic creature vs. electric-type genetic creature!"

By the end of the first day, footage of Pikachu's clash with the spirit dog had gone viral. On major video platforms, views skyrocketed overnight, exceeding a million and sparking intense discussions.

Pichu, Pikachu, Pokémon Biotechnology Company, Ethan Grave, these names were suddenly everywhere. Ethan had achieved widespread recognition, and Pokémon Biotechnology had become a household name.

The public's interest had never been higher, and Timmy's evolution from Pichu to Pikachu had sent shockwaves through the biotech industry.

Conversations about Pokémon Biotechnology's breakthrough in genetic technology were now trending globally. As people dug deeper, they discovered that the mastermind behind the design was Ethan Grave, a young innovator who had achieved what other companies hadn't dared to dream of: a genetic creature capable of evolving.

Evolution itself wasn't new to biology, but while genetic mutations were well-documented, no company had successfully controlled or accelerated the process. Pokémon Biotechnology had changed the game, and now the industry was abuzz, eager to understand Ethan's methods.

"Genius bio-designer Ethan Grave..."

Articles from both local and international media quickly emerged, showcasing Ethan's achievements with bold headlines and accolades.

The next morning, half an hour before the exhibition reopened, Ethan was already receiving updates from his company.

One prominent corporation expressed interest in investing in Pokémon Biotechnology, requesting a meeting with Ethan after the exhibition. A major foreign biotech firm reached out, offering billions to acquire the evolutionary technology Ethan had pioneered.

Ethan laughed as he read an email from his company's representative: "Mr. Grave, my inbox exploded last night! Resumes have been flooding in since the video went live!"

Everything was going exactly as Ethan had planned.

Want to invest? Sorry, but no.

Hoping to buy the evolution technology? Apologies, that's not for sale.

However, he welcomed the surge of job applications, as the company's growth called for more talented employees. Given the volume of applicants, he directed the HR department to be selective.

The HR manager highlighted a humorous detail in the company chat: "I noticed some familiar names among the applicants. It seems like our former colleagues are hoping to return. How should we handle them, Mr. Grave?"

Ethan replied confidently, "Why bring them back? They left us once; we're not moving backward."

The team chat buzzed with laughter. Those who had chosen to stay felt validated, realizing they'd made the right decision to stick with Pokémon Biotechnology.

"All credit goes to President Ethan!" Annie chimed in, and no one disagreed. Even James joined in, offering his praise for Ethan's leadership.

Ethan was enjoying the chat when his phone rang, it was Mr. Henry, the bank manager.

"Looks like Mr. Henry has heard the news," Ethan mused, smiling. "I'd bet he's calling to extend that loan offer." He let the phone ring for a moment before picking up.

"Hello, Mr. Henry! What can I do for you today?" Ethan asked, feigning innocence.

"Ahem, Mr. Grave, about that loan for your company… Last time, I mentioned we didn't have any available funds," Clarke began, his tone friendly but nervous. "However, I've managed to secure an additional quota. If you're still interested, I could offer a loan of 50 million."

"Only 50 million?" Ethan chuckled. "It seems Mr. Henry has really outdone himself this time. But several banks reached out this morning with offers in the hundreds of millions… It's a bit difficult to decide."

"..."

After a pause, Clarke replied quickly, "Mr. Grave, I'll look into increasing the amount. I believe 100 million should be no problem."

"Sounds great. I'll wait for your call," Ethan replied, ending the call with a smile. This was the same bank that had turned him away, and now he held all the leverage.

In truth, he hadn't received other offers that morning; he was just testing Clarke's resolve.

When the exhibition doors opened, waves of attendees filed in, many heading straight to Booth 012, not to see the spirit dog, but to catch a glimpse of Timmy, now evolved into Pikachu, at the Pokémon Biotechnology's booth next door.

Ethan and his team launched into another busy day, following a similar structure to the previous day. This time, though, Pikachu was the undeniable star. Sitting on a small chair with a regal expression, Pikachu seemed to bask in the attention. A few smaller Pichus massaged his back, making the crowd laugh, with several people expressing a desire to take one home.

Meanwhile, the mood at Booth 012 couldn't have been more different. The previous day's incident had left Jerry and Lina too embarrassed to show their faces, leaving their staff to handle operations alone.

The contrast between the two booths was even starker than before. Pokémon Biotechnology's exhibit radiated excitement and wonder, while Ciguli Biotech struggled in the shadow of its competitor, unable to recapture the spotlight it had once hoped to dominate.
