Chapter 45: Welcome to the team
Haru looked at Gible with a smile as he scanned the Pokémon with his Pokédex, the device beeping softly as it processed the information. He reviewed the data displayed on the screen, nodding with approval.
"It looks like you still have some of your egg moves," Haru said, his voice filled with satisfaction. "That's good. You've got a solid foundation to start with." He paused for a moment, eyeing the Pokémon closely. "And your ability is Rough Skin, huh? That'll definitely come in handy. If someone tries to hit you physically, they'll get a little surprise."
Gible chirped in response, clearly proud of its abilities.
Haru continued, scrolling through the information. "Your nature is Jolly, which means you'll be pretty fast. You're definitely going to be a quick little powerhouse once you get stronger."
Casey leaned over to get a better look at the Pokédex. "Wow, Jolly? That's perfect for a Dragon-type! You've got a speed advantage right from the start."
James nodded. "Sounds like you've got a winner, Haru. That Gible is gonna be strong in no time."
Haru pocketed the Pokédex and looked down at the tiny Dragon-type. "Alright, Gible, you're going to fit right in with the rest of the team. Let's get you some proper training and show everyone what you're made of."
The little Dragon-type let out an excited Gib!, its tail swishing in the air as it hopped around, ready to take on the challenge.
Jessie, who had been watching the interaction, smirked. "Just be careful, Haru. We all know how these little ones can turn into terrifying monsters when they evolve."
Haru laughed. "I'm counting on it. Once Gible evolves, it'll be a force to be reckoned with." He looked at the team, his eyes shining with determination. "For now, let's make sure we're all ready for Clair tomorrow. We've got a big battle ahead."
As the group finished feeding the Pokémon, the excitement of Gible's arrival mixed with the anticipation of the upcoming gym battle. Haru knew that every member of his team, old and new, would play a crucial role in what was to come. The road to victory was long, but with his team by his side, he was ready to face anything.
After a quick call from to Professor Elm, as he looked at Gible as he captures his new Pokémon, as the Pokeball was sent to Professor Elm,
Haru then looked at Scizor. "Scizor is it ok if you go to Professor Elm's lab to stay While I train Gible".
Scizor looked at her trainer as she nodded, As Haru pressed a button on his Pokédex as she was sent to Professor Elm lab as now on his hand was Gible Pokédex as he looked at his new Pokémon.
James looked at him as he spoke. "How strong is a Full evolved fully train Garchomp".
Haru thought for a bit as then he remeber a center yellow hair Champion from Shino. "Will a force of Nature with steroid".
James chuckled at Haru's response, imagining the sheer power of a fully evolved and trained Garchomp. "Sounds terrifying," he said, shaking his head. "I guess I'm glad you have it on your side instead of against us."
Haru grinned, glancing down at the small, shiny Gible in his arms. "Yeah, it's definitely going to be a powerhouse once it evolves. Garchomp is one of the top-tier Dragon-types out there. Fast, strong, and with insane offensive power. Once Gible grows, it'll be hard to beat."
Casey leaned in, her curiosity piqued. "So, when do you think Gible will evolve? It'll be cool to see how strong it gets."
Haru rubbed Gible's head gently. "Not sure yet, but I'm going to train hard with it. I want to make sure Gible is ready for any challenge. As for evolving, it'll probably take a while to reach that stage, but I'm sure it'll get there with the right training."
Gible let out an eager Gib! and looked up at Haru, already showing signs of determination.
Jessie, who had been listening quietly, raised an eyebrow. "And what about the rest of your team? You planning to keep them in top shape too?"
Haru looked over at his other Pokémon, his smile widening. "Of course. Everyone's going to be trained hard. I need all of you at your best if I'm going to defeat Clair tomorrow and move forward. Plus, I want Gible to learn from the others as we go along."
James nodded in approval. "Sounds like a plan. With that kind of attitude, you'll have Gible evolving in no time."
Haru stood up, tucking the Pokédex into his pocket and giving Gible a playful scratch behind the ears. "Alright, buddy. Let's get ready for tomorrow. You'll get stronger with every step we take."
Gible nodded happily, its tail wagging with excitement. Haru felt a renewed sense of determination. With his team at his side, and Gible now part of the group, the road to victory felt more attainable than ever. But he knew the real challenge lay ahead—Clair's gym would test their skills, and he would have to bring everything he had.
The next day arrives as Haru was training the group, they were fighting eachother mastering the moves focussing on strategy originally Haru planes was Use Scizor to set do swords dance then fight it out with Clair Pokémon, with that Swampert and Electivire which makes so he would win his 7th badge easily, or will as the Theory goes, but his second planes was his Gyarados his 10 times bigger then a normal Gyarados who is red and is like a Puppy.
Haru then looked at Gible in his arm trying to go to fight. "Oh no, not yeat little guy you just hatch yesterday, I know you have Metal claw, Outrage, Sand Tomp and Mod shot as your moves, but still".
Gible pouted at Haru's words, its tiny claws crossing in defiance. It let out a small growl as if protesting its exclusion. Haru chuckled, patting the little dragon on the head. "Don't worry, your time will come. You've got some great moves for a freshly hatched Pokémon, but you're not ready to take on Clair's Gym yet."
James, sitting nearby, smirked. "That Gible's got the spirit, though. I bet it'll be trying to fight Gyarados next if you don't keep an eye on it."
Haru shook his head, glancing at his massive Gyarados, who was lounging in the nearby lake like an oversized puppy. Its sheer size dwarfed everything around it, and yet it wagged its tail like a playful Eevee. "Yeah, and I'd rather not see what happens if Gible bites off more than it can chew."
Casey walked up, her arms crossed as she watched Swampert and Electivire spar in the distance. "So, what's the plan if Clair decides to pull out her ace? I hear her Dragonite is no joke."
Haru smirked confidently. "That's where Gyarados comes in. Intimidate will drop Dragonite's attack, and with its massive power and size, it'll be a solid counter. Plus, I've got a little trick up my sleeve with Mega Swampert if things go south."
Jessie raised an eyebrow. "And by 'trick,' you mean you're banking on brute force?"
Haru shrugged. "Sometimes brute force is the best strategy. But I've got backup plans if that doesn't work."
As Haru spoke, Gible wriggled out of his grasp and dashed toward the sparring Pokémon, eager to join the action. Haru quickly called out, "Hey, get back here, you little troublemaker!"
Before Gible could throw itself into the fray, Gyarados gently nudged it back with its snout, as if telling the tiny dragon to stay in its lane. Gible grumbled but sat down obediently, its small body vibrating with barely contained energy.
James laughed. "Looks like Gyarados is acting like a big sibling already."
Haru sighed in relief, giving Gyarados a thumbs-up. "Thanks, buddy. I'll make sure you get an extra snack for that."
As the training session continued, Haru felt a surge of confidence. His team was strong, and with a mix of strategy, power, and teamwork, they'd be ready for whatever Clair threw their way. However, he couldn't shake the feeling that the Gym battle wouldn't go exactly as planned.
Gyarados was in the water just chilling, as then she saw Pokémon as she saw a Pokémon as it was a Teddiursa as Gyarados looked at the Tiny Pokémon it was confused, as he then liked it bad moved as she heard a roar she saw a Ursaring as the mother bear roar to protect her young but when she attacked it did noting Gyarados let out a lot laugh as to her she was playing to her as that what it was happening in her.
The Ursaring then used a Hyper beem but that didn't Happen, Gyarados then decided to play along as she used a Waterfall and will she hit both Pokémon as both Pokémon got nocket out, Haru came to check on saw the two Pokémon was shocked sent two Pokeball to Teddiursa and Ursaring and then they went back to Professor Elm labs.
Haru looked at his Gyarados. "How strong are you".
Gyarados tilted its massive head, looking at Haru with an expression that could only be described as amused innocence. It let out a low, rumbling growl that almost sounded like laughter, as if it didn't fully comprehend the extent of its own strength. The sheer force it had displayed moments ago, casually knocking out both Teddiursa and Ursaring, was like a game to it.
Haru sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Seriously, you just playfully defeated two Pokémon without breaking a sweat. And one of them used Hyper Beam! You're a monster, in the best way possible."
James and Casey approached after hearing the commotion. James whistled when he saw the unconscious Ursaring and Teddiursa, now safely sent to Professor Elm's lab. "Remind me never to get on Gyarados's bad side. That thing's a walking natural disaster."
Casey nodded, wide-eyed. "No kidding. If Gyarados can casually take down an Ursaring like that, Clair's Dragonite might not even stand a chance."
Jessie appeared next, arms crossed. "You do realize that Gyarados isn't just strong—it's terrifying. And it's still acting like a puppy. Imagine if it ever got serious."
Haru placed a hand on Gyarados's head, the massive Pokémon lowering itself slightly to let him. "You're right. Gyarados hasn't even reached its full potential. But that's why we train—to make sure that strength is controlled and used the right way."
Gyarados let out a low, approving growl as if agreeing with Haru's words. Haru smiled, then looked at the rest of the group. "With Gyarados on our side, Clair's Gym battle is going to be a lot more interesting. But we can't rely on brute force alone."
James smirked. "You're saying that now, but we all saw how Gyarados handled that Ursaring. Still, it's good to have a backup plan... just in case."
Haru chuckled. "True. Let's finish training. Gyarados might be strong, but we've got to make sure the rest of the team is ready too."
As the group returned to training, Haru couldn't help but glance back at Gyarados. Deep down, he knew he'd have to be extra careful with its overwhelming power, but he also felt an immense sense of pride. Gyarados was a force to be reckoned with—and Haru was determined to ensure it lived up to its full potential.
After a while Haru pulled out his Pokédex, as he then looked at Swampert, Electivire, Meowth, Houndoom and Gyarados. "Let's see all your improvement in EV and IV, you all have gotten a lot for stronger then before".
Haru opened the Pokédex and began analyzing the detailed stats of his team. Each Pokémon stood proudly, eager to hear how they had grown under his guidance.

Haru closed the Pokédex, a satisfied smile on his face. "You've all improved so much. With these stats and our strategies, Clair and her dragons won't know what hit them. But we're not done yet. Let's keep pushing forward."
The team roared, growled, and sparked in agreement, their bond with Haru growing stronger as they prepared for their next big challenge.
Late that night, Haru was on a call with Professor Elm. "So um I can explain".
Professor Elm just looked at Haru through the Pokémon center call. "No no you can't explain why I got both a Teddiursa and Ursaring from you and both looked like they were hit by a boat".
Haru scratched the back of his head awkwardly, laughing nervously. "Well, uh… it's kind of a funny story, Professor."
Elm folded his arms and raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "Oh, I can't wait to hear this one. Please, enlighten me."
Haru sighed, knowing there was no getting out of this. "Okay, so… Gyarados was in the water, you know, just chilling, being her usual big and terrifying self. Then, out of nowhere, this Teddiursa showed up. Gyarados thought it was cute and tried to 'play' with it—"
Elm interrupted, his voice sharp. "By 'play,' do you mean she knocked it out of consciousness?"
"Well… not at first," Haru muttered. "But then the mother Ursaring showed up, and, uh, let's just say things got… a little heated."
Elm pinched the bridge of his nose, exasperated. "Let me guess. Gyarados decided to play along with Ursaring, too?"
"Exactly!" Haru nodded eagerly, like that somehow made it better. "She thought it was all a game, so when Ursaring used Hyper Beam, she just shrugged it off and hit both of them with a Waterfall. Honestly, I didn't expect them to go down so easily!"
Elm shook his head, clearly trying to process the chaos Haru had just described. "So your Gyarados—a Pokémon that's easily ten times bigger than a normal one—'played' with them so hard that I ended up with two fainted Pokémon delivered to my lab. Do you realize how hard it is to explain this to my assistants?"
Haru grinned sheepishly. "Hey, at least they're safe now, right? And maybe you can help them recover while I focus on training Gible!"
Elm sighed, leaning back in his chair. "Haru, you're going to give me gray hair at this rate. Just… try not to send me any more Pokémon that look like they've been hit by a natural disaster, okay?"
"No promises!" Haru replied with a cheeky grin before cutting the call.
Elm stared at the blank screen, muttering to himself, "Why do I even bother…"
