Pokemon : I Am A Breeder/Champion

Chapter 53: 52,.Ruthless Training(Part 1)

Sophia sat up abruptly from the grass, startled awake by the commotion.

"What's going on?" she asked, her voice filled with confusion. She glanced around quickly, her eyes finally landing on the mountain behind her.

At that moment, Evan rushed out in a panic.

"Gardevoir, Gallade!" he called urgently. "Let's go take a look!"

Hearing Evan's words, the two Pokémon sprang into action. With a nod, they grabbed Evan on either side and vanished using Teleport.

Sophia, witnessing the scene, quickly released her Garchomp. Turning to the children in the orphanage, she instructed firmly, "Don't run around. Stay here while I go check it out. Understand?"

Once she ensured they nodded in agreement, Sophia climbed onto her Garchomp. Without further hesitation, the Pokémon took to the sky, heading towards the mountain.

The children stood rooted, staring wide-eyed at the distant mountain. None of them understood what was happening or why there had been such a sudden explosion.

Arnold, the youngest of the group, began to cry after Sophia left. Seeing his distress, Kirlia and Pikachu hurried over, trying to comfort him and the others.

Hearing the commotion, Isla and a few other caretakers came running out of the orphanage. They glanced towards the mountain, concern flickering in their eyes, but turned their attention to calming the frightened children.

"Alright, don't cry," Luna said gently. "Everything will be fine. Evan's already gone to check it out, and nothing bad will happen." She held a sobbing little girl close, stroking her hair softly.

"But... but is Evan okay?" the little girl whimpered. "Will he get hurt by a Pokémon, like... like the old dean?"

Her words stirred memories of the past, and soon, even those who had held back their tears started to cry.

Isla sighed heavily, her patience stretched thin. Oh no, little ones, please don't all start crying!

Before she could think of what to do next, Aunt Jenn and the other adults arrived. Alarmed by the scene, they rushed over to help soothe the children and assess the situation.

No one could explain the explosion, but the chaos at the orphanage was nothing compared to the scene Evan encountered when he arrived at the mountain.

A fierce battle raged in the sky. His Pidgeot, nicknamed Flash, was locked in combat with a group of Fearow. Behind them, a flock of Spearow squawked angrily, adding to the pandemonium.

It became immediately clear to Evan—this was a turf war. An invading flock had come to claim the territory, and the battle had escalated.

Surveying the chaotic scene, Evan realized Flash and its leader were struggling. Two against one, yet they were barely holding their own.

"Gallade, go help!" Evan ordered. "We can't let these intruders take over!"

Gallade nodded and vanished in a blur. In an instant, it appeared in the midst of the Spearow, its elbow blades gleaming with a bright white light as it unleashed Fury Cutter.

Spearow after Spearow dropped from the sky like leaves in a storm. The Spearows, enraged by Gallade's interference, turned their attention to it. Even the leader of the Fearow, who had been battling Flash, shifted focus, determined to stop the new threat.

Flash, relieved by Evan's arrival, regained some confidence. Its earlier actions had been a desperate ploy to attract Evan's attention. The leader Fearow it was battling was too powerful—a seasoned elite, nearly at the threshold of a Elite level. Flash had only recently reached the elite level itself, and the gap in strength was glaring.

As the leader Fearow attempted to break away to help its flock, Flash intercepted, blocking its path. It may not have been able to win, but it could still delay the Fearow.

Evan's commanding voice rang out. "Tailwind, now!"

Instinctively, Flash obeyed, whipping up a gust of wind to bolster its speed and that of its allies. Somewhere along the line, Flash had begun to trust Evan's leadership completely.

"Leader Pidgeot," Evan called out to Flash's companion, "use Air Slash! Don't let that Fearow escape!"

The leader Pidgeot hesitated briefly, but ultimately followed the command. A blade of wind formed and shot forward, cutting off the Fearow's retreat.

Evan observed the teamwork and gave an approving nod. "Good. Stick to my commands, and we'll win this."

"Gallade, use Quick Attack to charge forward!"

"Leader Pidgeot, use Hurricane to keep it contained!"

Evan's commands rang out sharply, his confidence unwavering as his Pokémon leapt into action.

Gallade darted forward with incredible speed, while Leader Pidgeot whipped up a powerful gale that trapped the enemy Fearow, leaving it unable to escape. Helpless, the Fearow could only watch as its flock was cut down one by one by Gallade.

Even if Evan had let it go, the outcome wouldn't have changed. Gallade's strength was overwhelming, and one more Fearow wouldn't have made a difference—it would have simply ended up as another defeated Pokémon. But Evan wasn't about to let it run.

He glanced at Flash with a mixture of frustration and disappointment.

How can my Pidgeot struggle so much against a wild Pokémon?

And you still want to gather a flock of Pidgey for a family? Really, you've got a long way to go.

At that moment, Sophia arrived at the scene. Seeing the situation, she sighed in relief.

So it's just a territorial skirmish, she thought. Wild Pokémon had wandered into the territory of the local Pidgey and started a fight.

Landing her Garchomp on the ground, Sophia wasted no time. She tossed out a Poké Ball and called out, "Absol, use Dark Pulse!"

Absol appeared in a flash, and dark energy began to swirl in its mouth. With a powerful blast, the Black energy shot out, engulfing the Spearow flock.

With a resounding boom, the Spearow fell from the sky like raindrops.

Gallade observed the scene, narrowing its eyes as it felt a surge of determination. Power erupted from its body, and in an instant, it disappeared, using Teleport to speed up its attacks.

Blades of white light flashed in the air as Gallade moved with precision. One by one, Spearow dropped to the ground, unconscious. The battle ended in mere moments.

Sophia stood dumbfounded, blinking at how quickly everything had been resolved.

"Did... did I just waste my energy?" she muttered, realizing Gallade had already taken control of the situation. She felt a little awkward—her Absol's attack had been completely unnecessary.

Meanwhile, Evan sighed, shaking his head. Gallade's behavior reminded him of a child fiercely guarding its food. It even glanced at the last Spearow still hovering weakly in the air.

Evan gave a simple command. "Gallade, finish it."

Without hesitation, Gallade darted forward, its blade flashing. A single Slash, and the Spearow plummeted to the ground.

~~!!

"Brother, you're amazing!" Flash chirped enthusiastically, clearly impressed by Gallade's efficiency.

Gallade glanced at Flash, unamused, thinking something along the lines of, What a fool.

Evan surveyed the defeated Pokémon scattered across the field and frowned.

"Gardevoir, Gallade," he called. "Take care of this for me. Send them to the breeding house while I notify the authorities."

He knew these Pokémon couldn't simply be left here. Spearow were notoriously vengeful and could easily return to cause more trouble. Leaving them behind was not an option.

Following his orders, Gardevoir and Gallade used telekinesis to lift the fainted Pokémon and transported them away with Teleport. After several trips, all the Pokémon were sent to the breeding house.

In the meantime, Evan contacted the local security team to report the incident. Given that this was an orphanage—partially funded by the government—the security team treated the situation with urgency and dispatched a team to investigate.

With the immediate threat resolved, Evan turned his attention back to Pidgeot, his expression a mix of frustration and amusement.

"Are you serious?" he chided. "If someone invades your territory, call for help immediately! Why didn't you summon Beedrill or Butterfree? Did you really think your little flock could handle this alone?"

Pidgeot lowered its head sheepishly as Evan continued.

"Listen up! If anything like this happens again, gather every Pokémon in the back mountain and deal with it together. I'm serious! And Beedrill, Butterfree, you're not off the hook either—don't just sit back and watch next time!"

He crossed his arms and added with a warning tone, "If I find out you ignored another invasion, don't expect to get fed!"

Evan was not in a good mood.

This group of iron fools... he thought, frustrated.

This could have been resolved quickly, yet they allowed it to escalate into such a mess. A whole group of Pokémon could have rushed in together to fight; Evan didn't believe for a second that the invaders would have dared to break through such a defense.

After Evan's scolding, the Pokémon who had merely watched from the sidelines, like Beedrill and Butterfree, hung their heads in shame. They clearly understood the rebuke.

Seeing their subdued reactions, Evan sighed.

They're just wild Pokémon after all, he reminded himself. What more can I expect from them?

Shaking his head, he decided it wasn't worth lingering on. Instead, he addressed them one last time.

"Alright, I'm heading back now," he announced. "Don't forget to come back for your meals later. And remember what I said: if something like this happens again, don't overthink it—just charge in and fight! If it's too much to handle, Gallade and I are here. Do you understand?"

He shot a sharp glare at Shiny Pidgeot, who ruffled its feathers awkwardly, clearly chastened. Without waiting for a reply, Evan signaled Gardevoir and Gallade to teleport him back.

As soon as Evan disappeared, Pidgeot let out a relieved sigh. It turned its gaze to Beedrill and Butterfree, its irritation apparent.

"Beep!!" it chirped angrily. Why didn't you help earlier?

It fluffed its feathers indignantly, feeling the sting of Evan's scolding and wanting to regain some ground among the other Pokémon.

Leader Beedrill and Leader Butterfree exchanged glances before staring at Pidgeot with disdain.

Seriously? their expressions seemed to say. You're the one who insisted you didn't need help because this was a "sworn enemy" you had to handle yourself. Now you're blaming us because you couldn't win?

With a collective dismissal, they fluttered off with their respective tribes.

Pidgeot was left flustered. It puffed up but didn't dare retaliate. Fighting them was out of the question—Evan would punish it for starting unnecessary conflicts. And worse, dinner might be withheld.

No food? That's not an option, Pidgeot thought nervously. It wasn't about to forage for fruit when Evan provided everything they needed. With a resigned huff, it let the matter drop, though the humiliation still lingered.

Meanwhile, Evan returned to the breeding house. The Spearow and Fearow that had been teleported away were now contained in the backyard. The children in the orphanage had finally stopped crying, thanks to Sophia, who had arrived earlier to explain the situation.

Once the children heard that everything was under control, their fears were eased. Relief spread among the caretakers as well—thankfully, nothing serious had happened.

As Evan entered the nursery, he was immediately tackled by two small children who threw themselves into his arms.

"Evan brother!!" they cried in unison, their faces streaked with leftover tears.

Startled, Evan froze for a moment. "What's wrong with you two?" he asked, perplexed. "Why are you still crying?"

The two kids sniffled, their little arms wrapped tightly around him.

Evan was thoroughly baffled. I was gone for just a little while, and they're crying?

"Did something happen? Was there a fight?" he asked, looking at the two girls clinging to him.

But they didn't answer. Instead, they held their mouths shut, gripping his clothes tightly and refusing to let go. Evan felt a wave of helpless affection as he watched them.

He didn't press further. Instead, he gently ruffled their hair and shifted his focus to the Pokémon that had been brought back.

Gallade didn't hold back in its strikes, and the fainted Spearow and Fearow showed no signs of stirring anytime soon. Evan decided against treating them himself. Let the security team handle that when they arrive, he thought.

"Alright, stop crying," he said softly to the girls. "Go on back to the orphanage and eat something. I'll come join you in a bit."

Hearing his reassuring words, the two little ones nodded and finally released their grip. They dashed off towards the other children, where Luna and Tiger quickly took over, leading them inside to eat.

As the group departed, Sophia approached Evan.

"Evan, I'm heading back for now. I'll stop by again when I have some free time," she said with a small smile.

Evan nodded. "Alright. Be careful on your way home."

Sophia nodded in return, saying a brief goodbye before turning to leave. She had already arranged for someone to pick up the energy cubes earlier, and her day had been unexpectedly full. She'd spent the afternoon playing with the Pokémon and had even dozed off while at Evan's place.

How embarrassing, she thought as she walked away. But his place really is relaxing. I'll visit again sometime.

Not long after, the local police arrived. A team led by a middle-aged officer quickly spotted the fainted Spearow and Fearow lying in the backyard. The sight caused more than a few raised eyebrows.

The officer immediately noticed the imposing presence of Gardevoir and Gallade standing beside Evan. Their strength was palpable, reminiscent of the Pokémon used by high-ranking Gym Leaders.

When did our city gain such a powerful Trainer? Officer wondered, glancing at Evan with growing curiosity. He was well aware of the notable Trainers in Blue Sea City, a tropical coastal city that wasn't too big but not too small either. Evan hadn't been on that list.

Despite his puzzlement, Officer knew this wasn't the time to get distracted.

Approaching Evan, he asked, "Are you the one who reported the incident? Can you tell me what happened here?"

Evan nodded, wasting no time in explaining. "Yes, I'm the one who called. These Spearow seem to have been imported. They broke into my orchard and started fighting with the Pidgey flock living there. I arrived on the scene and managed to subdue them, so I contacted the authorities to handle the rest."

His tone was calm and matter-of-fact, recounting the events simply.

After listening, Officer nodded, his expression thoughtful. "Understood. The situation aligns with what you described when you called. I'll have my team take these Spearow and Fearow into custody."

He added, almost as an afterthought, "We've seen an influx of foreign Pokémon entering the city recently. It's likely these Spearow are part of that wave."

Officer signaled his team, who began carefully gathering the fainted Pokémon.
